Admittedly, I've never read any of the Question's series. I did love him in the Justice League cartoon by Bruce Timm but I don't know how accurate of a portrayal that was of the character.

Oh it just usually seems like conventional gunfire is wholly inefficiant against Grimm. But thinking back on it Coco's chain gun does seem to make short work of a nevermore. Manticore does seem to be a class above though so i dunno.
My guess is that Coco uses 5mm rounds and that thing tore through Nevermores and Death Stalkers. The Avenger uses 30mm rounds, making them 6x larger, and it also has a exponentially faster firing rate so it would most definitely do more damage. Here's a picture of a single 30mm round just for scale:

I gotta give this one to the manticore - I doubt the gun could kill the manticore.
If that's true than nothing short of a nuke would be able to kill it then, which is definitely overkill.
