I've just been kind of waiting for a moment that I feel my character can interact with another group. If need be, I guess I could write a post of him just stopping a few crimes on his own again.

Noticed the little edit thing-y on your post and wanted to make sure you knew that editing in mentions doesn't notify those players. Wouldn't want someone to get kicked due to inactivity if it was avoidable.

You know, I only just realized that if my character was a detective instead of a patrol cop his name would have been Detective Valentine and I would have made an unintentional Fallout 4 reference.
From my experience with superhero RPs, it's usually better if the GM makes the villains. Otherwise it either becomes a clusterfuck of everyone's villains trying to take advantage of the smallest bit of chaos and then making it worse to the point where it seems nuking the city from orbit is the best option or everyone's villains are always waiting for a time to strike that never really comes.
