Current My Italian friend just asked me if it's true that all Americans are fat. I'm offended but I can't stop laughing.

I always respond to OOC tags within 10 minutes, but I respond to PMs within 10 days. I don't know why- I suppose it's just because PMs are so easy to brush aside and forget about

I don't have any finals, but everyone else having finals is slowing down my RPs. Second-hand busyness.

I know it's time to go to bed, because I just started wondering if maybe the whole universe is a single cell on some alien's ass

If a tree falls in the woods and Fox news isn't around to see it, is it still Obama's fault?

You forgot the vital amount of Khookies xP

19 Khookies for you! XP
<Snipped quote by Hael>

If you're sentient enough to imagine monsters in the dark, you'll be plagued. Dragons, Cimex, Uri, humans, Outsiders(if they really imagine stuff..not sure), mer men..pretty much everything sentient.

P.S this is a good reason to make the Great Kamiv. Protectors of the Mer people. Or the sea-goblins.

Both! I plan on making at least 3 or 4 races. The Great Kamiv protect cities and such, while the sea-goblins...well, I'm not sure I'll be making them. Originally they were going to raid and pillage villages, but with all the Chaos going on, I don't think that will be needed anymore.

How deep do the mer people live?

They live in various floating cities any where from close enough to the land to be visible by humans/dyun/Cimex/Uri, to at the very cusp of the Crater. But it's far too dangerous within the Galbar's Scar for them to enter.
<Snipped quote by Hael>

As long as they stay close to the light and arm themselves, humanity should adapt fairly well, along with the Uri and the Cimex.

Just be prepared to fight nightly. :P

Kraken approves.

Will the Mer-people be plauged? Because they're free-spirited and loving, they wouldn't survive it.

<Snipped quote by Kho>

They are as dangerous as a solid being, when the night comes. If someone imagines that there's a bloodsucking vampire in the darkness, a vampire will exist when night comes. If someone imagines a Dyun that can shoot lasers out of its eyes in the darkness, it shall exist when night comes. Fear can be conquered, by not completely removed( not without magical help from a callous as hell god that is...*Glares suspiciously at Vowzra*). Basically, if you wonder to yourself "Is there a monster lurking in the night?" and an image pops in your head of what a monster like that would be, said monster would appear in the darkness nearby. Of course, if you're not wondering what is in the night, nothing can be created can it?

I'm not sure many would survive that, if the monsters are full-powered.

And may the gods save those poor fools with compulsive thoughts like mine. The more I think "don't think of a giant monster with mouths for eyes and eyes on their hands", the more I'll think of it and get devoured by eyeballs.
<Snipped quote by Hael>

Monsters return every night year round. When the sun rises, they have to flee.

For an entire week once a year, the sun doesn't reach Galbar, due to Vestec's eternal darkness. The monsters have free reign for 168 straight hours.

How dangerous are they? Can they be easily fended off?

I'm just trying to ensure that humanity survives that nightly torture.
Vestec is definitely going to find a way to make the eternal, terrifying, darkness return for a week once a year.

It should also be noted that when the sun sets the monsters return as well.

Working on all the sheets for that jazz now.

Do the monsters only return on that one week of the year, or every night the sun sets year-round?
I would say sinking it ALL is a bit extreme. Send a tsunami, sink a few islands, but the archipelago in all its entirety? Even Poseidon didn't sink the world when he got angry, he just sunk Atlantis (a teeny island)

Ah, yes, that's a good idea. I was thinking of it as all one landmass, rather than smaller islands. I might sink bits, then, depending on what Jet says

EDIT: All though you have to remember that Poseidon didn't WANT to drown the world, but Kraken does.
<Snipped quote by Hael>

@jetipster Okay with ye?

Also, Vestec approves.

Of course Vestec approves, it's awesome. Vestec MUST approve.

That's the reason I said I MIGHT. I'm still waiting on Jet to confirm his/her approval. We're talking about it.
<Snipped quote by Hael>

Beat you to it :p

That's because you're creepy and hang around funerals.
Nah, I still have some hope.

In news relating to THIS RP, I may or may not be sinking that big 'ole island Svie suddenly pulled up

*shrug*

The second RP I was ever in had about 4 active people in it after starting with a dozen, and it stretched on for multiple years and 100 pages.

You must embrace your inner snail, Mihndar... Slow the pace...

In all seriousness, if @Hael replies to Babur's letter we could get a few posts up and breathe some life into this

Fair enough. I do not accept the blame for all of this, but I should go ahead and get that post up.

No more excuses! Within 24 hours I will have that post done!
