Current My Italian friend just asked me if it's true that all Americans are fat. I'm offended but I can't stop laughing.

I always respond to OOC tags within 10 minutes, but I respond to PMs within 10 days. I don't know why- I suppose it's just because PMs are so easy to brush aside and forget about

I don't have any finals, but everyone else having finals is slowing down my RPs. Second-hand busyness.

I know it's time to go to bed, because I just started wondering if maybe the whole universe is a single cell on some alien's ass

If a tree falls in the woods and Fox news isn't around to see it, is it still Obama's fault?

And in the end, isn't that all you need to know to RP with me?

@Hael Yes. Right now about 1/100 return due to a curse Vestec cast to annoy Reathos even more. The undead right now act pretty much like they did alive. Well, maybe with some emotional problems due to well dying. I believe @Rtron did mention that angel would turn intolike vampire lords (leathery wings I'm guessing). How it functions is simple: the souls don't leave the bodies. Thus the dead rise again.

However, I am planning on making Reathos cast an extra curse of the undead, making them mad with a hunger to kill (in case of humans, Hain and most Rovaick) or a thirst for blood or human meat (vampire and the undead Azibos).

That aside, soon Reathos will also raise his own undead to help out the Pronobii currently fighting a losing battle against Vestec's horde. These will be simple animated bodies, without a soul.

Ahhh.

Undead are usually depicted as being mindless, dumb beings. Maybe Vulamera will do that to them as a middle finger to Vestec (not that he would care)

EXCEPT for undead Insidie, which will be able to keep their intelligence and mental prowess after death, thus allowing the "smarter" undead creatures, like Vampires or such.
Excuse me everyone, but I seem to have forgotten: is necromancy/undead a thing in Galbar? And if so, how does it function?

This RP has a lot to keep up with, I can't remember everything

Edit: Besides, nobody can build a wall house like Zephyrion.

If Vulamera was a bit more petty, I'd have her create a whole floating palace made of mental energy, and insure that it was always exactly 1 inch taller than Zephyrion's
A life that he seems willing to invite others to join him in.

I think we all know that's just so he can show off the palace that someone else built for him

I will get the last word in this conversation damn you!

No.

I'm too arrogant to allow that.

I MAY NOT BE IN THIS RP, BUT DAMNIT, I CAN JUST KEEP POSTING

this one did not understand what space opera is... bye, have a wonderful life.

in other news, I think I'll be making an OOC if moonlover won't do it.

No, this is not a Space Opera, this is a Space Fantasy. Even Space Operas have some realistic properties. Not much, but some. Since your idea of Warp has none, it is a fantasy.

And there's nothing wrong with that. I wasn't trying to offend you. This just isn't my style, that's all. Have fun. :)
Where are you getting the idea that warp drives are more realistic and have set limits grounded in reality? Last time I checked FTL is pretty much just a device to get characters around the place faster than reality permits. Warp drives aren't really different since the exotic matter needed for them may not even be possible to attain. It could be hyperdrives as well for all intents and purposes.

*sigh* Because warp drives do have set limits grounded in reality, according to Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity. Warp isn't just a fictional tool- it's a real scientific theory, that has real limits, in real life. Warp is also the only potentially realistic FTL drive that has ever been conceived, and is likely the ONLY possibility. Ask NASA

Seriously, you seem to have this idea that warp doesn't have any limits, but that isn't the case. According to every scientist who has ever studied the idea, there are real limitations. We can't go breaking the laws of physics, guys. Einstein himself believed that if something like Warp was possible, it would be limited. This is a real theory. It's not just a Sci-Fi/Space-Opera tool.

I'm going to have to drop out of this RP. I'm sorry. Don't take it personally, guys, I just have really high standards and I need a level of realism. Sorry.
Just use a faster warp drive.

It's not possible for any warp drive that fast- fast enough to get across the Milky Way- to be invented within the next few centuries. I don't know if you know anything about science, but this is like telling me that a steamboat can sail to the moon if it has a strong enough engine. The science really isn't there. I've researched this sort of thing myself. We may as well add magical faeries that whisk us across the galaxy.

It's. Not. Possible. It just isn't.
This is a space opera NRP, not a sci-fi NRP.

I know, but it's still just not possible. You could ask me to use every inch of imagination I have and I couldn't accept what you're asking me to. Even in a space opera, some dying resemblance of reality needs to exist

@Natsucooldude

The whole local group!

(Milky Way Galaxy is good)

No one even colonized the mangellic clouds.

Wait... wait... the whole damn galaxy? Are you guys serious?

Because, if we're RPing on that scale, we need some massive Sci-Fi technology that would have completely transfigured life beyond what we can even imagine right now. It's predicted that it will be hundreds of years, or longer, before we can even travel at what Star Trek (and many similar Sci-Fictions) calls "Warp 9", or roughly 4 light years a day. Moving at that speed, we couldn't even get across a QUARTER of our galaxy in 100 years.

I propose that we shrink the RP zone to about 1/4th the Milky Way. Because any civilization with tech that can feasibly traverse the entire galaxy would be at least 500 years more advanced than 21st century, and I'm not sure we can realistically RP with technology more than 2 or 3 centuries ahead of our own. It's just not possible to imagine what life will be like that far into the future, and it's sure as hell not possible that we'll develop anything beyond "Warp 9" within the next few hundred years.

(I mean, unless you want it to take several lifetimes to travel from one end of our Player Nations to the other...)
