Yeah don’t ever recall BLM charging the US Capitol building, scaling the walls, attacking Capitol police and breaking windows to enter.

Sipley is a poison-master. Everyone let us hope that they don't have amazing healing abilities. And am I the only one who thinks of the titans from Attack on Titans when writing about the giants?

I don't watch AOT. It just kinda popped into my head, they're about the same size as the Skyrim giants if that matters, just different looking.

Also, Loki I PM'd you.
The giant approaching the tavern looked at Caspian as the pirate stepped in front of the creature's path. It pulled its arm back, then swung from the right side, aiming to connect the blow with Caspian and send him flying out of the way.
The giants stared at the flames for a moment, then one of them kneeled down slightly, inhaled and blew as hard as it could, slowly but surely putting out the flames. The others did the same, apparently they were smarter than they seemed which did not bold well for those fighting them.
Aldred felt something latch onto him, and turned his head to see a grappling hook twirled around his leg. He noticed Sipley climb up right by his side with some sort of poison in her hand. He managed to get his arms free and snatched the poison from her hands. With his other hand he drew his dagger.

"Hope this works!" He said to her, then leaned forward, driving the dagger into the creature's eye. It howled in pain, the large mouth opening wide. Aldred tossed the into the creature's mouth right before it released him from its grip. He landed on the ground, looking up to see the giant growling in pain with his dagger still in its eye. Then the poison took effect, causing the great beast to fall to its knee in a fit of coughing and severe pain.

He found his sword nearby, picked it up, then moved towards the kneeling giant with the blade at the ready. Aldred swung hard, aiming right for the exposed neck. The greatsword connected, slicing into the soft flesh of the creature's neck. The fell forward, Aldred stepping out of the way. Then just to make sure, he drove the blade downwards with all of his strength, tearing through the back of the skull. It was dead now.

"Five more of these bastards, we can do this!" He said to the others as they continued their assault. Another giant charged forward, enraged after seeing its companion die.

Sorry it didn't work out and thanks!

Alright Midori, this opens a spot up for you if you want to make a character.
"I'll give it a shot." He stated to Sipley, then hoisted his greatsword and charged forward, letting out a grunt as he slammed the blade into the closest giant's stomach. He wanted to chop the thing to pieces. but he found out that would not be so easy as his sword seemingly bounced off the creature's incredibly tough skin.

The force of the swing still causing the giant to stumble backwards, Aldred doing the same as he tried to figure out where to hit it, glancing at his sword then where he swung it, not even a mark. He watched as arrows whizzed by, along with some daggers. Those impacted on the legs and shoulders but like his sword simply bounced off.

"These bastards must have a vital areas, hitting them in the obvious areas doesn't do anything. Go for the eyes, ears, neck, back of the legs!" Aldred shouted to the group, then turned as he watched the giant dart forward, it's large hand reaching down and plucking Aldred right off the ground which caused him to drop his sword in the chaos.

The creature lifted the armored man upwards, close to its ugly face. The giant let out a threatening roar which caused saliva to cover Aldred. He noticed the sharp teeth, wondering if it was going to try to eat him. Aldred began to squirm in the grip, trying to get his arms free.

Meanwhile, one more giant emerged from the darkness, walking with intent towards the inn. It likely saw the survivors and was going there to finish them off.
Now the fun begins. ;D
Aldred folded his arms, mulling over getting another drink, his eyes looking at the bard playing music, it wasn't his kind of stuff, too boring, he always enjoyed the more thrilling big band stuff. He noticed another enter the inn, an elf, another person he was told to expect. He didn't realize the group would be so large, but that was fine by him. He then heard the door pop open as someone walked in, it wasn't another mercenary, it seemed to be one of the citizens of the town, possibly a miner. The man quickly moved over to Aldred, then leaned down and spoke to the man.

"I saw it, something past my house, when I went out to get water from the well, I saw whatever it was, a massive shadow." The man said to Aldred, his voice tinged with fear and just low enough for Aldred to hear.

"Why did you come to me and who are you?" Aldred replied, turning his head to look the man in the eyes.

"I am Jon, I'm a simple miner in the town. I heard about you, many of us have, that you're on a quest, that's why there's so many strangers in the town. Are you here to stop the " The man replied.

"Let's go check it out, take me to where you saw this figure," Aldred said as he rose from his seat, Jon the miner bounding towards the door. "Excuse me for a moment, there is something I must see." He said to the group around him, then follow the man out of the inn.

It was still bitterly cold outside and pitch black dark, the only sources of light a few scattered torches which lit the streets just enough for anyone walking in them to know where they were going. The only difference now was that it had began to snow lightly, the white adding to the already covered ground. Aldred himself was warm enough under his armor and clothing underneath, but he felt bad for anyone who didn't have the same luxury. His boots made marks in the snow as he followed Jon who moved ahead, moving towards the edge of town where one would exit out of in order to head into the mountains. Several cozy cabins sat around him as he walked, eventually reaching Jon who was standing by what Aldred presumed was the miner's own home.

"Here is where I saw it, right over in that direction." Jon said as Aldred stopped in front of the man, the armored warrior looking in the direction the miner indicated, to the northeast. He couldn't see shit, just darkness before the wind began howling loudly, and the skies seemingly cleared, the moon in the sky illuminating just enough so that Aldred could see something he did not want to see.

A huge humanoid figure standing right where Aldred was looking, it looked like a massive man, he estimated maybe ten feet in height, possibly twelve. He noticed Jon's eyes go wide as the man must have seen it to.

"Get inside now! Lock the doors, secure your family." Aldred ordered the man who did exactly as the ex vanguard commander, running into his home, the door locking behind him. Aldred drawing his greatsword as he stared down the massive being, he swore he saw more of them behind it, as the thing began moving forward, Aldred practically hearing the ground shake with each step.

He backtracked towards town, well enough so that the streetlights would allow him to see the monsters sulking towards him. His mouth nearly dropped open in surprise as the first one came into the light, the creature was truly a sight, twelve or so feet of pure muscle hidden under light grey skin, the only clothing it wore a simple loincloth, it's face bland with a short tuft of black hair on top., fearsome eyes staring down the former vanguard. As the treetrunk legs moved forward, Aldred noticed the beast clenching something, a boulder.

It flung the rock forward towards Aldred, who dove to the side, just barely avoiding being turned into mush. The boulder hitting the ground with a slam as it continued rolling forward, finally making impact in the wall of The Spotless Rock Inn.

The bartender dove behind his bar, the waitress letting out a scream as the boulder smashed through the building, creating a massive hole in the side wall, a hole large enough for anyone inside to clearly see Aldred with his blade drawn, facing down a single giant while five others behind it ominously moved towards the town with slow, but sure footsteps.

Hey, Heat? I was wondering—do you have any thoughts on religion in Sironde? I figure it must've crossed your mind, and I think Sonia might be the kind of lady to believe in a god (or gods?).

I've thought about it, the way I figured, most humans believe in a single God that created everything, the elves tend to believe in a goddess who made the elves out of nature, dwarves have no religion, Orcs don't really either, they tend to worship great Orc warriors.

I haven't put many details into it, but religion is a thing in Sironde, it's just not like massive to the point where the churches have a say in political matters.

Also, I'm about to move the plot forward.

I had an issue like this in my last RP that I GMed. The most active users would complain that they had to wait and the ones (like myself) who have busy schedules ended up lagging behind. The way I handled it was to enforce a rule that everyone had to wait for at least three people to post in order to post again almost like a post order but not as strict. It seemed to work out and that RP had about eight people.

We have a rule similar to that in another RP I'm in, I think we will implement that in this too.
Aldred's attention was turned to the woman who strolled in with a wolf, his eyes went wide in surprise for a moment as he looked at the canine, if that was coming along he hoped it was well trained. He never liked wolves that much, back during the war he spent many days in the wilderness where he could gear their howls in the night, he was almost able to feel their predatory eyes watching Aldred and his companions as they moved through the woods those many years ago. He's give this one a chance if it was to be a package deal with the woman.

"It's not an issue, I expected some people to show up later than others, it's a hell of a stroll to get into this town. I'm Aldred by the way." He said to Bregil, shaking her hand firmly, a friendly smile on his face.

"I understand, as long as you simply are committed to the cause and don't do anything that could have us all killed then we won't have any issues." Aldred said with a nod to Lander as Sipley spoke.

"Well, the rumors have been going for weeks now, unusual sights in the north, large figures roaming where they have never before and even stranger reports of great things in the skies. If it is a set up by our mysterious benefactors, then I am impressed to go to such lengths if they wish to kill us." He said, then paused as he sat back down in his seat, drinking from his glass once more.

"Besides, why would they want us dead? I'm an ex vanguard who took on an alias after the war in order to not cause any trouble. I doubt they're orcs, those are the only ones I can think of that would want me dead. Then there's some of the others, for example, a convicted pirate, why would they have him released just to kill him? I think they're just concerned people, honestly." Aldred said, looking at Sipley as he finished his drink, placing the empty glass to the side.

"My elf friend is correct, nothing. You're not late." Aldred said to Sonia, as he leaned back in his seat.
