And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

Should have been writing posts. Took part in D&D shenaniganry instead. Got to fix that tomorrow.

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

Marcus and Kethan, who had previously been mostly holding on what had been asked of them to hold and organising scrolls in piles arranged by subject (respectively) soon found themselves requested to do something quite different. They were handed one of the scrolls that had definitely stuck out from the rest, a song about Hraesvelgr's banishment. The half-orc could not help but raise an eyebrow at the insinuation that "the big guy", that being him, would be all that versed in the art of song, or even remotely interested in such a thing, but as he and Kethan began looking over the words to it, the intention of the gnome began to show in a new light.

It was not the song that would be of interest to them. It was how it referenced several divine planes and entities, to Kethan's ill luck less so from Ioun's domain as they had to do with the more war-like of gods, as well as the Triad. Especially the Triad, actually. Like most giants... but there was the fact that... indeed, the great eagle, that being the way the giant was referred to being beaten back by... where the mortal men fell, but a blade of a god would bring around the Ragnarok as the dying giant could call upon the might... Marcus hit his gauntleted fist against the table hard enough to have many items on it hop into the air and splinter wood from under the strike. He looked around, an apologetic expression on his face while the Guildmaster shook his head at him.

"The giant has no particular weakness, that is true. All was tested, but only gods would have the might to match a titan. Yet they could not, for it would have been an invitation of war", the paladin in service to Tyr explained, remembering bits and pieces of old references from different stanzas to supplement what was already in the song. "Long story short, champions. Mighty individuals received a blessing from the gods and were sent forward to do the deed. As our presence here to this day suggests..." he began wrapping his piece up with a grin on his face "they won. And as luck would have it, we are very much blessed ourselves."

That reminded me that you happened to volunteer for the task of helping to keep the 0th posts up to date. So enjoy your orange volunteer sticker @The Harbinger of Ferocity!
We already have a CS model, right? At leas this much I know! lol

Regarding the storyline, what you guys ended up agreeing on? How it'll begin? I also have to read a bit about cyberpunk 2020, especially about the augmentation parts. I have some ideas but I don't know if certain types of augmentations are ok (ex: extremely delicate and invasive ones that require brain surgery & etc.

See 0th post on the OOC tab for details, that should be up to date! The augmentations on the other hand, well that largely depends on the character's involvement in all this. We've got examples of low/unmodded people all the way to... well, Scarlett.
@Ryonara is up.
With the member of the cult closest to threatening to reward any attempt of escape with a slash of her weapon taken care of, the woman slumping down while Kyra turned tail to run, the remaining cultists set to enacting their revenge. "Leonard! Wrap around the tent, stop their advance!" the man already inside shouted to the one on the door while he charged the half-orc. Despite how reckless the green skinned hero had been in his earlier strike, luck was on his side as the cultist's weapon would shred the roof of the tent before halting as it suddenly his a support instead of its intended target. The frantic assailant was quick to recover, but their chance to land an attack was long gone.

The other man did as called for however, taking off after the escaping priestess, only to find himself another target closer by in the blue haired halfling woman handling a flask of oil. That would certainly explain the burning tents. "For Tiamat's Glory!" the man bellowed as he swung the sword he held in both of his hands at the bard. However, the attack was more enthusiastic than actually dangerous, being so telegraphed that even the most newbish of combatants could have seen it coming and sidestepped it. And that was what would happen, the blade cutting naught but air.

Oh dammit I knew I was forgetting something.

24 for my attack and 4 for my damage. That’s really sad. Maybe I should edit it to Kyra slicing the cultist’s cheek or something.

Nah, she dies.
I seem to be missing your attack roll, @Norschtalen.
Orchid makes it into the tent and lands his attack. It, regrettably, fails to kill his target, though it does severely maim the screaming cultist woman. @Lucius Cypher

It is now Kyra's turn. @Norschtalen
As the bear carrying the prisoner rushed away, shouts came from behind. "Over here! They are trying to breach through!", "To arms! To arms!", "For Tiamat's glory!" and "Run them down! Nobody leaves!" forming the majority of them. Despite the great luck the heroes of Greenest had had, they were hardly free to go quite yet. Three more cultists had already caught up to them, and only more were to come. There would not be time to take all of them down, nor would any sane man even consider such an act possible, especially not with the tall figure of the blue half-dragon dressed in purple rushing through the crowd at great speed, pushing many of his own underlings aside as he gripped the handle of his halberd.

The the great luck of Kyra, the one who was hanging far back enough for the enemy to be able to reach, they could only make it to her instead of quite yet unleashing their assault upon her person. Of the three arrivals, two entered the tent while the last one stayed at the exit, and one of them even made it all the way next to the bow wielding cleric. "Prepare to die, nonbeliever!" the woman screamed in the pink-haired one's face, already preparing to swing her blade.

I'll be writing my character soon-ish. Trying to think of what sorta mods a police officer would have.

By the by, me writing the LT's colleague is okay, right?

Yeah, sure. If I may throw in my own recommendations, I have envisioned Lt. Davison to have the following at the very least:
  • One cyberoptic eye, bundled with anti-flash and SmartGun-capability
  • Neuralware processor
  • Sandevistan model activatable reaction booster
  • SmartGun plugs for linking the standard issue officer pistol and/or taser
  • Level Damper cyberaudio functions, to protect user's hearing in a firefight
