Should he be worried about that? It was a challenge, but...

"I'm pretty sure most of us can say the same, Miss Gratia. I can tell you for certain that I don't plan on dying very soon either." he replied with a casual chuckle, as the airship pulled up to the dock.
"I'm Luke Schwarz. Nice meeting you, Gratia Mindaro." he said, as the line began to shuffle forward, filing into the transport. He'd done his duty as a conversationalist, now he could safely break off and leave her be unless she felt like continuing herself.

Sheesh. No need for that, it was on its way up, for Pete's sake. He couldn't have been that annoying, could he? Was her patience wearing thin due to him, or the wait on the ascending airship itself? Did he have cause to take this personally?
Well, he did have the golden rule to follow... If it was unclear, assume "no" until proven otherwise. Made life much less of a hassle.
"Well, yeah, but I meant more after that." he replied, co-opting that dry snark for himself in response. "After all, I doubt the plan stops just at getting on the ship, Miss..."
He trailed off in the typical "what's your name?" way.

He offered small talk, and if it was on him to pass that time for the two of them alone, so be it! She accepted the invitation, and so help him, he would deliver!
