Hot dogs are already cooked. Might as well just sear them to add flavor.

If you take college seriously, it opens doors. Harvard and Hopkins makes it easier, but you can do well anywhere.

Prefer to brainstorm on Discord for that reason.

Alexei glanced over Paul with a raised eyebrow. "Unless a better hypothesis presents itself, we are looking at empowered hunters. But how? Is it possible that more hunters were made Eternal, perhaps by one of our own looking to cull back the numbers?" He had extensive information on all three, but it was hard to see why others might go after Richard or Giorgio. He was working off Nima's thought that it could be hunters made Eternal. That would mean a rebellion in the ranks.

The problem he kept arriving at was that Anna Smith wasn't heavily involved in Eternal politics. She was young, devious and well-regarded, with few enemies. Giorgio Spada? Well, he had more enemies, but little in the last century or so. Richard Mullen? He'd always been caught up in hunting prey and cared little for the politics.

"With all respect due to your rights as a sire, my Lady Klotho is interested in the insights of your progeny, and if she has something to add, we should do well to heed. We are in a delicate situation of peril to Eternal, and you know as well as I do that in such a situation, our kind react badly."

And, it was implied, obviously. Alexei, and his lady, did not want the whole thing to blow out into the open. Enough humans, and the Eternal could be overwhelmed. The cost to everyone, of course, would be considerable. Corner humanity, focus their attention on the Eternal, and they might devise a solution to the problem. The Eternal gave up a lot of their creativity with their mortality, or at least had a hard time focusing on mundane matters, especially as they advanced in age. They shed their humanity and became more preoccupied with the urges of their hunger. They were more powerful, of course, but they lost their creativity. They became creatures of habit.

He might have worried about Paul's reaction to his breach of the protocol of seniority, but he had a powerful patroness, one who was a tad more enlightened than her other ancient elders. She relied upon the young, which was seen as an idiosyncrasy, but those youthful Eternal helped keep her and her resources in touch with the world even as it changed.

"So what was the thought?"

@vanq
I just dislike negative people, especially in RP's. It's urine in the wine when you're collaborating and brainstorming to have someone complain constantly.
I wil get you a response Tuesday evening or Wednesday when I am home from my trip.

@HeySeuss

Not a problem. Enjoy the holiday. :)

@carsgovroom
@HeySeuss Yeah, I've been going of a bit of the game more than the books, not out of preference, just that's how it worked out. Plus I need to brush up on my reading. I figure the Physads, Shamans and Mages are less likely to go for implants anyway unless something goes horrible wrong and they lose a limb :P

Yes, because it dilutes their essence, which is tied to their ability to do magic. Though there are lots of unholy combinations of magic and cyberware out there. Some mages do basic cyberware, like a smartlink or something, but significant cyber-upgrades are anathemic for the most part.
I'll post within an hour, unless you go ahead and do your GM thing. Just letting you know I've been busy but I can now. @HeySeuss

Sounds good, I can certainly hold up for that.
<Snipped quote by HeySeuss>

If you move everyone to the Nightwood and set up a new scene for the main group, I'll step in a fill in what's going on with King Harold and his pal Daigon.

Sounds like a plan. I might go ahead and get that post started just to push things forward. Just wanted to get any feedback if anyone had any posts they wanted to make or if a shift in scenery was in order.
Interesting. Don't think Varrick likes her.

EDIT: Also, I think it's about time our characters actually get together and figure out what the heck they're going to do.

Yeah, we sort of went ahead and had the tavern go sour, which is fine. In retrospect, it was a totally amateur place to do a meeting. But they got the picture -- Brand is dead and the kingdom is under the reign of a bloody tyrant.

Also adding a skype chat link, for easier communication and brainstorming. I used to use IRC and it worked alright, but the Guild no longer has an IRC so we might as well use this.

Skype Chat for brainstorming in realtime. - I honestly prefer to brainstorm in groups, so feel free to drop in. I think we can also help each other out on interaction and posting this way.

Also, if anything important gets mentioned, let's make sure it gets posted here so people can all participate. I know that Gunther, Noxious and I are definitely on schedules here. I made the logs of the chat available to anyone, so that's a good way to check in too.
Abortion, Socialism vs Capitalism, Death Penalty, Minority Issues, etc?

If so, which ones? This is not a place to debate these things. Only to say if you've changed your stance (and maybe why you did, personally).

In a word, yes. It'd feel pretty asinine to me not to revise my opinions on the basis of data and experience. There's also a Bertrand Russell quote out there about fools being so damned sure of themselves.
Incidentally, if we are floundering on where to take this, please let me know so I can devise a transition to the Nightwood away from Bosfyrd. I can do a five paragraph setup for another scene.
