Nothing ever ends poetically. It ends and we turn it into poetry. All of that blood was never once beautiful. It was just red.

Night Of The Dance

Rita had been blowing off her parents for the rest of the week, ignoring their calls and going pretty much awol from them. She couldn't stand them this week, not with all the shit going on with school. Not after she 'accidentally' tore the door of her father's BMW in a fit of anger, even if luckily, her dad never found out that she was the one who had done it, he only found the wrecked door on his lawn in the morning. She was angry, and she needed to punch someone - or something.

She had done her makeup in order to look 'scary'. Black around her eyes, like she had been crying out her makeup, and made her skin even paler than it was normally. She worse a skintight white dress that ended by her thighs - way too short to be fit for the high school's liking, she was sure, but that was kind of the point, after all. She also bought ten inch heels, but she decided last minute to skip those, instead putting on her regular combat boots. Her hair was made to look messy, instead of the straight look she usually kept, making sure she looked as messy and ghostly-as she possibly could. As she had been leaving Georges apartment, she thought of a couple of finishing touches, with red lipstick she drew a big fake smile on her cheeks, as well as putting on a lunar-necklace around her neck, so she could at least pretend to care about the theme of the dance.

Once she arrived at the dance floor, she let out a loud sigh. The Weeknd? That's the kind of shit they want us dry-humping each other to? She grabbed a red cup, and cursed the fact that there was no way there was booze at this place.

Then, out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse, and a stroke of genius hit her. She poured half the glass with the punch, and marched onto the dance floor, where she grabbed Sebastian by the arm. "Cutting in, you don't want to deal with this fuckboy, anyway." She dragged Seb to the side of the room, and pushed him to the wall. "I will go crazy if I have to stay sober the entire night. Where's the god damn booze, Scott?" She hissed
Raditz looked on in marvel - not quite able to figure out what the girl wanted. Was she to give him more food? No? Did she want something in return? What was the orb about? Or throw the one orb over the mountain? Or to go there before she would give him any food? It really didn't make any sense, and the young alien did not approve.

"Do you want me to put the orb in the bowl?" Raditz blurted out, out of frustration of not understanding, not expecting the earth girl to understand.
Sancho secured the ship at the dock, once they had arrived at Lefacti island. The little schooner looked rather out of place next to the two frigates next to it, the frigates flew flags of the crews that were here. Sancho had in fact no earthly clue who these pirates were, the flags meant very little to him, he only knew one man on this whole island, and that man alone had been enough reason for him to set his sights on this island.

"We should look around." Sancho noted, to his crewmates. "But, guys. Please. Let's try and stay out of trouble for now. I'd rather us not get into a fight the first ten minutes of being at this place." Sancho told Hamel and Samehana, as he peered at the other scounderls at the docks, whom were all licking their lips, looking at them with killing intent and holding their hands on their weapons. He would head up into the harbor district, where there were quite a bit of places of business, at least two inns on every street, plus one at the corner, all of which had some kind of pirate-themed name, Sancho looked around - not everyone in the city seemed to be pirates, but they did seem to be some kind of criminal or the other, a lot of bandits, probably overwhelmingly so, he figured from the chatter he heard on the street.

He had to go and learn a thing or two about this place, and he had to figure out how to keep his promise to the people of Lechi.

Chester was meeting the black hands with his own fists, each hand was met with a closed fist and a wave of vibartions, shattering the hands, spraying black dust all over. "OH HI!" Chester shouted, looking back at Macario, as two hands grabbed his left forearm. He chopped the hands apart with his right hand, only for them to immediately reform and grab both of his hands, then, the drunk captain bit the hands in what seemed to be their arms, until they vanished.

IIITTTHUUUURTTSSS! The boat cried.

Kuhn glared, as he kept dodging them with side-steps, and those he couldn't dodge, because he was overwhelmed, he beat away with his revolver, hitting it with the grip of the pistol, while he held the barrel like a club.

"Memo to Self: Never get a sidekick of my own."
Where to begin with this one? The idea is that Batman emerged during the late 60's in Gotham. A Myth, a demon, a ghost story of the criminal underbelly of the gothic city. No one had managed to get a clear picture of the violent vigilante in those 30 years. The cops had never managed to get him, but there were murmurs that he was working with some within the Police to bring down corruption within the law enforcement. But sometime in the 90's, he vanished, and Gotham went back to the way it had been before the Caped Crusader ever put on the cowl, before the Bat was something young Thugs said to scare each other in the late hours of the night before a heist.

This idea is heavily influenced by Batman Beyond, kind of a ode to it. Timothy Drake was a kid in his late teen years, a genius and a kid who never really had a worry in his life, his parents successful and almost as loaded as the aged Mr.Wayne. Till a competitor killed Tim's parents, and he washed up on the doorstep of Wayne Manor, having figured out that not only was The Batman real, but he was Bruce Wayne.

He blackmailed the old man into training him, Bruce agrees, seeing something inside of the boy, and he eventually takes on the cowl as Batman, breating new life into the legend of the Dark Knight, setting the stage for a brand new story of a somewhat more light-hearted Batman, yet a more Mature Tim, who's had to grow up with Bruce alone, without the rest of the family, and one who never was Robin himself. I see Tim as a bridge between the attitude of Terry, and the intelligence of Bruce.

"You know, I wasn't always standing on top of a building in a cold September night, in the pouring rain, dressed in leather and wearing the mask of a old man. I used to have a life. I was gonna become an engineer, or a scientist, perhaps a CSI. Sure, I did become all of those, but I also became something else. I'm someone who spends his Saturday prowling the streets, hunting those who oppose the law, those that no one seem to be able to stop. I'm the rebirth of a legend half a century old, and this city's one line of defense.

They call me The Dark Knight, if they even think I exist.

"I am Batman, the World's Greatest detective."
Raditz made his way closer to the humanoid being, hunching a little, as if he was about to break into a sprint on all four legs - while in reality he was just getting into his combat stance, where he usually hit low against the most often taller opponents he faced. He slowly made his way towards the strange person in front of him, each step was soft as his foot crushed against the terrain.

His eyes narrowed as he looked at the girl, taking the bowl - at first he flinched, as if it were a weapon, but he soon realized he overreacted, she smiled at him as she put the bowl on the ground in front of him. Raditz walked towards it, pointed at it, then at himself, then at it, he picked it up, and he sniffed it. It smelled good. Some kind of vegetable soup. He drank it and wiht only a couple of gulps, the rather big bowl was completely empty. He smacked his lips gently, before stretching out the bowl again, as if to ask for more, a faint smile on his face.

"Would he have listened to reason?" Kuhn asked, sarcastically, as the hands came towards him, Chester was still out on the deck. Kuhn was nimbly dodging the hands as they came towards him, graciously backstepping, or weaving to the side whenever the black hands came at him. "We have any clue what dis is? Never seen anyting like it."

He looked back at lina as she was gonna leave The Breeze. "Lil' lady. You mind asking da bookworm if he has any clue what's going on here?"

Chester was still moaning about Booze making the fire worse - perhaps his entire view of the world had been shattered at this point.

Yeah. The surgery was supposed to take 1.5-2 hours and it took four. So I'm pretty beat up. I can only manage to sleep for like an hour at a time. It's not great. Basically, feel really sorry for me and shower me with gifts.

I was gonna offer you something, but all I have to offer would be inappropriate. Did everything reattach properly, no loose bits danging around?
