She was running. That's all she knew in that moment. One moment, she was having a nice relaxing bath, the next she was running through the woods butt naked, wondering how the hell she got there. Had she been drugged? Was the rest of her family okay? Where was she running to? She stopped after a few minutes of running, her mind racing with what to do. She hadn't seen a single damn building out here. Her next thought went to who would do this? Why would they do this? And where the hell were they now.
She continued walking, her feet cut by the forest floor and raw by now. Every step was painful, every step was starting to feel like her last. She wasn't built for this, for survival out in the woods with nothing but her birthday suit to protect her. She was going to die out here. As the thought hit her, she stopped, dead in her tracks and plopped down onto her knees to cry, sobbing after a moment.
Her tears pulled the attention of a man, just within earshot, who.. at first thought she might be some ghost. But against his better nature, walked closer to investigate. He hadn't planned on veering off course today, his mother would have surely punished him but he couldn't help his curiosity. It wasn't every day that the prince of his fair kingdom got the chance to explore out on his own like this, nevermind the fact that he'd slipped out unawares...
He approached the sound, still fully convinced he was going to be attacked by some foul witch or ghost trying to coax him closer, when he spotted her. She was hunched over in the grass and... completely naked?! He blinked, not really fully believing his eyes. But he couldn't stop his feet from getting closer from, trying to help her.
"..Miss? Are you okay?"
A fearsome king and loyal lover, Cuprite stands tall as the Leader of the Wildshape. For all it's inhabitants that come from every walk of life, every corner of the world, he fights to protect and improve their lives. He is not a dragon to take his work and role lightly and expects as much from his future offspring.
His best friend growing up was a dragon called Ambrose, a very energetic Pearlcatcher dragon. It was mostly unknown to him the animosity between the two breeds, but it became very apparent when he told his parents about his new friend, only be told to stop spending time with him. That only made the young dragon want to see his friend more. He needed to know what was so bad about his breed that his parents would openly demand he stop seeing him. Ambrose also had no idea as to why the two breeds had such disdain for each other.
"Why would anyone hate a Pearlcatcher? I think your pearls are really cool." Cuprite told his friend one day, huffing a bit at the idea of being mean just because of his breed. "Why wouldn't I think they're cool?"
"I'm not sure, honestly. I don't get why so many of my kind don't like yours. I asked my aunt and she said it's jealousy." Ambrose returned, shoulders shrugging apathetically.
"Well... I'm not jealous of any of the pearlcatchers! I think it's stupid to think like that." Cuprite huffed indignantly.
"And I'm not jealous of you. I can't really even think of a reason why I would be, you know?" Ambrose returned. "But... what can we do about other people? Not much."
"Well, when I'm older, I'm going to make my own clan where things like that don't matter. Where everyone is treated equally. I can't change everyone's way of thinking, but if you and I can think like this, the surely others can!" Cuprite huffed, sure of himself as he puffed his chest out. Nevermind the fact that he had no idea what it would take to lead a clan himself.
"That sounds nice... but I wonder if it's possible..." Ambrose sighed.
"Of course it is! Anything is possible if you put your mind to it."
Despite Cuprite's reassurances, he wasn't able to convince his friend to join him when he left their clan. The only person willing to join him was his sister, Raira. She was more than willing to leave, more out of a desire to be free from her parents than anything. Ambrose not joining him, didn't deter the young dragon. As soon as he was old enough to really grow into his wings, he approached his father and let him know of his intentions. As expected, the older dragon was none to happy to hear this, but respected his son's wishes. His mother, however, was less than happy and made several attempts over the course of Cuprite's preparations to leave to stop him and his sister.
Unable to sway Cuprite or Raira to stay, the two left and set off to find a space for their clan. They settled on the branches of the Behemoth, who branches held the Gladebough Village. Cuprite and his sister met their respective mates here among the other clans and convinced them to join them. Since then, they have welcomed dragons into their growing community. Cuprite rules their clan as "King" with a firm hand and a gentle voice. He allows dragons to enter freely and leave freely.
Dragons do have to be approved by his now trusted Advisors, a pair of Wildclaw dragons that had more than proven their worth protecting Cuprite and his family in the underbrush below the Behemoth. Amore and Aconite became a part of the Advisory Council that helped approve the acceptance of new dragons into their clan by helping them find a job/role within the community. Amore takes a larger role in helping to train old and new adult dragons to defend themselves along with his mate, Aconite.
Raira and her husband, Bercilak also help in guiding the community on the Advisory Council. Raira spends her time with her husband answering the questions of the clan in her brother's place so that Cuprite may spend his days working with other clan's leaders to build diplomatic influence for their clan and create healthy relationships with their neighbors.
One day, while taking a stroll through the forest with his mate, Cuprite noticed a small tuft of bright green fur poking out from the bush. It wiggled a bit as he approached. He called out softly, "Hello?"
His mate, Eden, perked her head up, now seeing the odd looking hair as well. And just as soon as she took a step to get closer, it seemed to pop out at her. She was about to lift a paw to claw at it in defense, when Cuprite lifted a paw to stop her.
The bright green tuft of hair had gotten herself stuck in a mess of tangled sticks and bramble. Her big bright pinks looked up at him and they swirled with an intense arcane energy. All he could think of was that it must have been painful, having so much magical energy in such a small body. Leaning down, Cuprite, gave the small deer looking creature a cursory sniff before moving to help her out of the brambles.
She huffed and stomped her hooves in protest, even though she knew deep down he was only trying to help her. Once freed, however, she pranced around him in glee, bounding cheerfully.
"That feels better, hm?" He chuckled, watching her until it made him feel dizzy. She paused for a moment, those big pink eyes watching him before she took a few steps closer to him, tentatively. Taking it as an invitation, Cuprite, bent his head down to her, to be a bit more on her level. At this, she slowly pressed forward until their noses touched.
Pink sparks seemed to literally fly in the space between their snouts, and Cuprite felt something shoot down his spine. His heart felt warm and suddenly he could her a voice...
"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?"
The voice was soft, gentle and sounded very much like a young hatchling might.
"Yes... I can hear you..."
"Oh! Oh! Joy! That brings me so much joy! I think I would have been in those brambles forever if you hadn't come along." She chuckled, seeming to grin to herself. Her blue fur seemed to shimmer even more in the light of the sun as she stepped into a patch of sunlight.
"And you are...?" He asked, chuckling again.
"Hm? Me? I.. To be honest, I'm not sure what I am! I just.. woke up and started wandering around. And then I got stuck.. and then I met you!"
"My love... Just who exactly are you talking to?" Eden asked, a worried expression turning on her face as she watched him.
"Hm? You can't hear her?" He asked, confused.
"Oh, only you can! I'm your spirideer now!" She started, blinking for a moment. "Oh... I guess that just came to me... weird... But anyway, I bonded to you! Well, our hearts did." She explained, making a quick spin as sparkles of magic floated around her.
"My... Spirideer?" Cuprite started, blinking a bit. He hadn't expected a new companion today, much less one that bonded to him... But, here he was.
Raira had always been a free spirit. From the moment she was born, she had been contrary to her parents. It wasn't as if she lived to disagree with them, but she certainly had a mind of her own and nothing anyone said could dissuade her from doing what she wanted to do. Stubborn to a fault. The last thing Raira ever wanted was to be in charge of an entire clan but despite that, when given the opportunity to leave her little Lightning Clan to explore the greater world with her brother, she took it. Though, she hadn't anticipated he'd settle them down so quickly...
She still hasn't really forgiven him for that and regularly leaves the community to explore on her own. If asked, she'd explain that there was something inside of her, something that vibrated with an intensity she couldn't explain and the only solution was to fly free and explore at her own pace.
Raira didn't have many friends growing up, but the one she had was the truest friend she'd ever had. Pache, a male Fae dragon who despite being hard for her to understand, had become her closest friend and confidant. She could tell him anything and he would always listen with eyes that seemed to always understand her feelings. She'd often sneak him into her nest to hang out with her, since he was small enough to hide in her wings. The only person who knew about Pache was her brother Cuprite, who despite not understanding how she could understand or communicate with Pache respected her relationship with him.
Raira remembers a humorous moment when Pache and Cuprite misunderstood each other.
"...What? Why are you doing that?" Cuprite asked, his eyes narrowing as he watched the small white Fae dragon flutter around him, bouncing up and down from the ground wildly, his head frills moving and undulating.
"Raira!" The smaller dragon called, his voice high-pitched but utterly monotone.
"What about her?" Cuprite asked again.
"Birth! Birth!" Pache cried out, still trilling frantically.
"What?!" He asked, blinking. "Are you trying to say Raira has laid eggs? That's not even possible! She's too young!" He started, now frantic. "Oh god, how would we explain this to mother? Should we tell her? Do we have to?" Cuprite mumbled to himself, mind churning.
Pache visibly deflated a bit before starting back up again. By the time Pache spoke again, Cuprite was already running to find Raira. "Birth day! Birth dayyyy!" He cried out after the larger dragon.
Cuprite had found Raira by that point and a rather humorous exchange took place in which her brother, face impossibly red, tried to ask her if she had laid any eggs recently. Which had, in fact, prompted a rather red face from her as well. They had a rather long conversation about trying to learn how to properly read Pache's frills but that certainly wasn't the only time Cuprite and Pache had misunderstood each other.
When Raira arrived at the Gladebough Village, she met an incredibly handsome and sweet Imperial Dragon whom she fell instantly in love with. She spent the first few months they were in the village, following him around, trying to impress him with both her physical prowess and intelligence. He didn't seem interested at all at first. He often scoffed silently and turned his nose up at her, walking away. But after months of trying and trying, Raira was a few steps away from giving up on him completely when he actually responded to her.
"Bercilak! I found a pretty stone while hunting near the river that I wanted to show you." Raira called out, grinning as she dropped the stone at his table, where he was reading a scroll on the history of fighting tactics used by Ice dragons. She half expected him to completely ignore her and was ready after waiting a moment to pick the stone back up and turn away.
She watched him look up from his scroll, however, head raising just slightly as he looked at the stone. "It is.. very pretty.." He mumbled, glancing her away for the briefest of moments before looking back at his book.
From then on, Raira never left Bercilak alone and it seemed as though the younger dragon didn't mind. The true turning point in their relationship, however, came on a hunt Bercilak had accompanied Raira, her brother, and her brother's mate, Eden. The four were prowling the groves below the village. Eden and Cuprite split off, Raira assumed to go have some alone time. The thought alone made her incredibly jealous and she stuck her tongue out after her brother before continuing on. As she walked, however, she heard the roar of a dire claw.
It swiped at her and she barely managed to dodge out of the way. It felt as if everything moved in slow motion. The leaves in the trees seemed to still as she watched Bercilak leap out in front of her, fighting with the bear. He was severely wounded, but the young dragon did manage to hold his ground against the bear long enough for it to tire of them and run off. Worried, Raira raced to his side.
"Bercy, are you okay? Oh my goodness... Oh no... What am I going to do.." She cried out, tears streaming down her face. In her mind, his wounds had to be fatal, she just knew it.
"Calm down, little one..." He replied, his voice soft and even toned. It sounded as if he wasn't even hurt. Which, Raira had to admit had bolstered her mood considerably. Tears still streamed down her face but now, she felt like he would be okay, that it would be okay.
"Let me go get Cuprite!" She called out, starting to get up. She was stopped by Bercilak, who had grabbed her leg and pulled her back.
"Stay... He'll come back to check on us and I don't want you to be alone out there..." He grumbled, voice deep and now tinged with obvious pain. Raira could feel her heart breaking for him but she stayed with him, doing what she could. Cuprite did eventually find them and rush to help his sister get Bercilak back to the village for healing.
Since that moment, a sort of unspoken bond formed between Raira and Bercilak and they became mates despite never asking one another. Because of this incident, Raira spends a lot of her time researching healing salves and healing magic so that she never has to feel that helpless again.
-Criston has the ability to manipulation electricity at his will. He can store it in his body and release it into other things. Using this ability, he can gain control over most electronic items and power them. He can also summon a powerful electric storm thought it drains a lot of his powers.-
~Weaknesses~ Water Pretty Ladies Arrogant
Criston is kind yet arrogant. He believes in his own strength and experience and will often boast about it. If confronted with an enemy, he will be the first to jump in without a plan and get hurt because of it. He is spoiled and has everything he could ever want and this can make him seem a bit condescending to other students.
Criston is the Principal's son, which you can guess as to what sort of things he can get away with. He inherited his powers from his mother and everyone on campus knows about it. He's always been on campus, even as a child. He knows all of the professors and he knows all of the students.
Lily can form a ball of energy in her hand and use it to throw at foes. She is only limited by her own energy level. When a person uses a power or exerts energy, their energy grows dim and they must recharge by sleeping/eating. The balls can be large or small but larger ones will deplete her energy reserve much faster.
-Light of the World-
Lily can glow. Yep, glowing angel. When she is emotional, a lot of times it will happen without her trying. She can also, when concentrating, concentrate the light to a specific part of her body like a finger or a hand. It's not much use save for lighting things up. The only side affect is that she pushes her energy around her and therefore can harm other dark beings around her. It's almost like an aura that damages and drains those with dark energies around her. She can and generally does dim her own energy by dampening it. She packs it in tight somewhere deep within her soul and it does next to no damage to those around her. She can also use this ability to hide herself by hiding her energy. She also has the ability to see the energies of other beings. She can only see what they are and their intents. She cannot discern personality or history and if they know how to hide it, she can't see it. When someone dies, she knows about it because an energy that was once there, died.
-Healer's Touch-
Lily can heal others through contact. She places her hands on the target and gives them some of her energy and in doing so heals them. But in doing so, she takes on the injuries of the person she heals. If she heals a cut, she gains a cut in the exact place of the person she healed. Meaning, she can't heal indefinitely or risk dying.
-Water Whisperer-
Lily can literally talk to water. Mind you, it can't talk back. It sends feelings back to her and tries it's best to communicate ideas. She simply asks it do something for her and it does, generally. Sometimes, it acts out on it's own and helps her. She has no real control over it and if someone that controls water comes along, their power will over ride hers even if the water is on her side.
~Weaknesses~ Dark energies, those from the underworld and such, have a very big impact on her and can do anything from leaving her paralyzed for a while to wiping her memories. Too much of it can and will kill her. She is at her weakest when she has no friends. She's also a bit too caring. She cares too deeply for people and it has left her with emotional scars. She dislikes relationships and will avoid them at almost all costs. She is not afraid to do whatever it takes to do what she believes is right. She has a terrifying fear of dying.
~Personality~ Kind to a fault, Lily is everyone's friend. She can be a little sarcastic and bitter at times but deep down she is very kind and loving. She loves to help others and see the happiness is brings them. Her only wish is to be wanted, to be needed by someone, anyone. She has changed quite a bit since her beginnings at Kalmaysia Academy and she's hoping that now that she has her powers back, she can continue living a normal, as one would call it, life at Athalia Academy.
~Background~ Lily's story is long one. She was born and raised in England where she died at age 16, her only friend her neighbor, Xanthus, a demon. In Heaven, her father was Micheal and her mother named Melody. When creating humans, God had angered Lucifer and Lucifer planned to kill them all off, saying that they ruined God's image and name. Hearing of his plans, Micheal stops him by casting him out of heaven, a fallen angel. Angry and bitter, Lucifer builds up his strength and takes Micheal's place, taking his appearance and running Heaven his own way. His first order of business? Get rid of Micheal's family. Melody was first, and then Lily was sent to an academy. Eventually, she goes back to heaven, to be imprisoned while the love of her life, Xanthus, is killed. She then comes back, empty and broken. Xanthus is reborn, but no longer the same. She leaves him, though she still wears her engagement ring, and searches for a way to kill Lucifer. She finds one, but it entails her giving up her life, her Grace. She does so and is brought back as a human, her Grace gone.
A year or so later, Lily has found her Grace again with the help on an Angel named Gabriel. He coaxed her into finding it on her own and now she is back to how she once was. But what could that mean for Lucifer? Is he really dead? It is really all over? Can Lily really get away with this, can she be so happy after losing so much?
-Summon Slave- Lilith can summon a weak demon to serve her. She can't summon very powerful demons as she herself isn't very powerful. She runs the risk of the demon stabbing her in the back as well.
-Pacify- By humming a small spell, Lilith can put her foes into a strange lull. They aren't asleep, they are simply... mesmerized. It takes a bit of her energy to do this.
-Seduce- Lilith can use her voice to command men to follow her. It does not affect women. The weaker the man's will to women, the easier it is.
-Lover's Kiss- When Lilith really wants someone dead, she gives them the greatest of rewards, a kiss. Lucifer greatly detests this skill, but she is rather proud of it. With a simple kiss, she can kill a being the size of an elephant. It takes a lot of her will power and the kiss must be reciprocated for the spell to work. It's not called 'Lover's Kiss' for nothing.
-Shadow Walker- Lilith can transport herself to and from Hell by means of the Shadows. She opens a small portal in the shadows and steps through. It does not take much energy to do so either.
-Agile- Like a circus preformer, Lilith is very agile and a very good jumper. She has incredible balance and can balanced atop the most unusual places. That being said, she doesn't like to sit in chairs 'normally.'
~Weaknesses~
-Demon Aura- The aura of an Angel weakens her. You've heard this before.
-Holy Lights- Holy anything can send Lilith crawling back into the shadows of hell.
-Naive- Lilith doesn't know anything about the world outside of hell. Meaning, she has no knowledge of technology. Cars, microwaves, electric lights, cell phones, these things all amaze her to no end.
-Oblivious- Lilith is rather... slow. She doesn't get things very quickly and she doesn't understand a lot of things. She's very...... stupid, to a point.
-Unprepared- Lilith goes into battle without any sense of a plan. She is rash and goes with her guts, even if it means walking into the lions den.
~Personality~ TBR. :O
~Background~ Lilith grew up in a time long, long ago. Long before electricity. She grew up on the streets of Victorian London, a poor street rat. She became an extraordinary thief and made a living off of it. One day, her pride got the best of her and she was challenged to steal the crowned jewels. As one would guess, she was caught and put to death and wound up in, you guessed it, hell. Somehow, she managed to stay relatively unharmed for centuries, agile enough to get away from any demons trying to kill her. She grew her powers and became a rather formidable demon, able to hold her own.
Penholders are a group of extraordinary humans. Once, long ago, they were all together, living together. They were shunned from society and forced into hiding underground. They began a secret project titled, "Difendere", Italian for Defend or Protect. They held that their group would protect the rights of others like themselves and that they would use their powers for the good of people. Some of them became entertainers, and some of them artists and writers. The penholders all held one commonality. The power to bring words and images to life.
~Powers~
-The Pen is Mightier Than The Sword-
Eric can draw any weapon and bring it into existence. Sometimes the weapons don't function very well if they aren't well planned or drawn well. They can backfire and leave him defenseless. In this power, he is limited by his knowledge of weapons and his drawing abilities. The drawings only stay for about an hour before they disappear. This includes; weapons, barriers, objects, etc.
-Pictures Speak A Thousand Words-
Eric can bring little drawn characters to life. He can't draw very big characters yet as they appear as big as he drew them, unlike the weapons/objects. So most of the time he draws little chibi people to help him do things. The drawings can only stay alive for about an hour before they disappear and Eric must draw them again.
-Picture Prison-
If Eric really wants to, he can draw someone and imprison them in a drawing. This holding cell is only a temporary solution and the person will escape within an hour. If the drawing is destroyed before that time, the person will escape. Strong willed people can break the prison and escape if they really try. It takes a lot to do this however.
~Weaknesses~
-Materials- Though Eric can draw in sand and dirt, he usually needs pen and paper to manifest his powers. He carries around a notepad and a pen at all times to combat this.
-Informal Combatant- Eric has no combat experience so he's not very proficient with any type of weapon.
-Spineless- Eric doesn't have a backbone. He usually does what other people tell him to do and doesn't voice his own opinions very often. He is soft spoken, but kind.
~Personality~ Eric is a meek individual, often not speaking up for himself. He is quiet in tough situations, often thinking to himself of a way to get out of it. He enjoys talking to others but will avoid conflict at any cost. He loves his drawings and has a wall filled with them that he always keeps.
~Background~ One fine day, a young boy was born and the world seemed to rejoice. But, all was not well. Eric's father became abusive towards his mother and it all started when Eric was 5 years old. He was in Pre-K. That day, the children were drawing pictures of their favorite animals. Eric wasn't, as most children aren't, the best artist in the world at this time and drew a rather strange looking lion, a lion that came to life. It roared into existence, a small tiny malformed lion. The teachers called Eric's parents and told them. Eric's father was angry, and that was the day everything changed.
Eric's mother told him that his grandfather was a Penholder, like Eric, and that he could do these things too. She gave Eric the manual her father gave her to give to him that explained everything. Years later, the abuse got worse and one day Eric found himself at a grave yard, looking at a gravestone with his mother's name. He ran away, running as far as he could. He found himself in the house of an older gentleman, one that had found him on the streets and had taken him in. The old man sent Eric to Athalia Academy, a place where a Penholder could find peace.
~Theme~
I DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR ANY IMAGES USED FOR MY CHARACTERS. (Even though I found two pictures of the exact same girl(which are perf~ btw) and used them for Lily. xD)
-Maria has the ability to manipulate electricity has she sees fit. She is the most powerful of the teachers in the school in that she not only has her power, but she knows many other spells as well. The true measure of her power is yet to be known. She is rarely seen and even more rarely spoken to. She's often off campus, doing other things, dealing with other things. She can do everything Criston can and more. She can electrify certain objects and even make them explode. She has enough electric power to power all of the U.S. She can create balls of energy and throw them at opponents. She can even plant an electric 'seed' inside an opponent. If they make a wrong move, she turns the voltage up and they explode.-
~Weaknesses~ Water Handsome Men Flighty, Can't Sit Still Hot Temper
Maria is very flighty. She can never stand to stay in one place for too long. She feels she should always be doing something and she does. She is very spontaneous and loves her son with all of her heart. She is very attached to him as well as all of the students. Whenever a student does see her, they don't really even think she's the principal because she acts so.... informally.
Maria's great-great-great-great-grandfather founded the school years and years ago. It's been a tradition that the family hold the position of Principal and Maria held that tradition. She enjoys the students and the school because she sees the value in it.
~Power~ Fire Breathe [Self explanatory. Can use in both forms, human and dragon.]
Transformation [From human to dragon forms.]
~Weakness~ High Magic Water Abnormally Kind, Walked All Over
Not much is known about Mr. Rackshaw. But everyone loves him, he is kind and gentle and genuinely wants the best for the students. He will defend them to teeth and give his life to protect them. He's also a teacher.

I have a rather bizarre question to ask ^^' Is this academy a boarding school or day school? Sorry if it has already been mentioned, it's rather late and I may have missed it >.<
Boarding. :)
Btw, we should really move this to the OOC thread. I've posted a link. :D
Hmm... I'm hesitant. But, and this is a big but, if you can prove that you can start out very small with few powers, and work your way up, then I'll allow it. If it becomes a big problem, we'll sort it out when we get there. Just... We can't have a whole lot of 'celestial' beings. So let's keep it a small number, yeah?
If you can figure out another character/species idea you'd rather do, that'd be great but if you're dead set on this, I don't really see why not. I think the powers you have lain out are fairly balanced and not too terribly OP. So unless anyone has problems with it, I don't mind. Again, if there's a problem later on, we'll sort it out when we get there. For now, you're free to head on over to the thread and make a CS. :)
Here you all are! I've changed a few things from the post here, so please read. There are also a few changes to the Rules to be sure to read those. Once we have a few CSs in and approved, we'll be ready to go!
We are closed! Check back with us again, as we may open again in the future!
In the middle of town there's an old prestigious academy, Athalia Academy. It's been around for years! But, most of the people in the town have never been inside. They've only seen glimpses of the students inside. There is usually a large locked gate out front and students can be seen walking around the courtyard. Most of the towns people just take it as it is and assume their kids will never be able to get in because none of them ever do. Some have applied their students and been denied, even very wealth families with very smart kids, still are denied. The school is very selective in even allowing visitors, much less it's students. It's a wonder they even have so many. A young man walks into the back gate of the school, where students enter. It's a bright, sunny day, he pulls his hair back and looks around as he enters. Seems he entered into the garden area off to the side. He'd visited the school before but it always seemed to have more students than this. As he looks around, there are a few students scattered around the yard, doing their own things.
"A... A bit." The boy replied, looking up at the man. At his reply, the man let out a loud bellowing chuckle.
"Don't worry. It's magic. The school has a barrier around it, lets them see what we want them to see." He told the boy, smiling brightly down at him. "Welcome to Athalia Academy! I'm Criston, student body president. It's nice to meet you. Here, let me show you around the school." He continues, walking ahead, motioning for the boy to follow him. He follows, though a bit reluctantly as the man takes him through the school. It seemed like he was an older student by the way he spoke.
~Fast Forward, Opening Ceremony, All Students are in Auditorium~
"Welcome students." A man bellowed from the stage, his white hair and white eyes smiling down at the students. "I'm Vice-Principal Rackshaw. Feel free to call me Mr. R." He continued, winking at the students in a joking manner. "I'm sorry your principal, Ms. Cross couldn't be here today, but I'm here to welcome you all to Athalia Academy!" He told them, leaning against the podium in a casual manner. "Some of you are new, and some of you are... not so new. Yeah, I'm talking to you Criston!" He yelled out to the crowd, pointing to a certain white haired tan boy sitting in the middle rows.
"Yeah, yeah. Stop pestering me, old man!" Criston replied back from the crowd, a smile on his face. Mr. Rackshaw chuckled and continued on, looking at the students.
"As most of you know, you're here because you're special. You don't belong out there with the humans, the regular one's anyway. You're here because you want to learn not only scholarly knowledge, but about yourself. Explore your possibilities and make some life long friends. Use this campus as much as you can and gain from it what I hope you all will leave here with. The confidence to hold your head up high and say, 'I am myself!'" Mr. Rackshaw bellowed once again, his voice loud and proud as he smiles down at the students. "Now go, there is much to be done and so little time to do it in." He finished, smiling and walking off the stage, disappearing into the darkness.

Fade to black, no goddmodding. You should be used to it. If you're new to the site, just PM me and I'll let you know the 'what not to do's. 6) GM has the right to change the rules anytime they see fit. **7) Inactive characters will be removed from the listing after two weeks of inactivity. You may re-submit a character sheet for that character if you can provide a reasoning for their absence or you could make a completely new CS.** **8)This is in the Casual section. Three line minimum.** Have fun! *If you have read the rules, please at the end of your CS answer this question. (Only for your first CS. There's no need to do it if you've done it before.)
How many characters am I allowed to have?
** Relatively new rule. Please read carefully and if you have any questions, PM the GM or co-GM.
-These are in fact, optional. Your character can want to go to class, or they can skip. It's up to them. Just know that they are available. Athalia Academy is very much a school that follows the philosophy of existentialism. In other words, the students learn what and when they want to learn. So, there are basic lectures that will be held but not mandatory. There is also a very large library with many teachers available to help students.-
~Basic Core Classes~
-These classes will and can be anything you want them to be. If you want the teacher to be lecturing over Socrates, then they will. It's all up to you guys.-
English Math Science History
~Electives~
-If there are any electives you want to add, go for it.
Band Art Sports/P.E. [This includes swimming, rock climbing, baseball, football, etc etc.] Computers Cooking Etc
Midnight Snacking Club (MSC) Members: The entire student body. Club activities: Spread the joy of midnight snacking, convert the chip preference of all students to Doritos over any other brand and type, and concoct delicious, novel, and incredibly healthy snacks to munch on in the wee hours of the day. Oh, and have pillow fight tournaments. Note: The proper formal attire for the MSC are your best pajamas. Bathrobes are also acceptable.
Student Body Government (SBG) Notable Members: Criston [President], Luna [Class Secretary of Events] (Other positions are open! but will be filled with Nameless NPCs unless taken.) Club Activities: Meetings to discuss events and the like. Notable Events: Beginning of the Year Party, Masquerade Ball, Pie Day! (Pie Your Teachers/Professors!)(Held on Pie Day, of course.), Earth Day (Make your Campus bright!), etc etc. Note: Must be elected!
So... You want to go outside? Here are few things you might want to keep in mind. (We strongly suggest them.)
1) Don't use your powers. If you can't control your powers, ask for an inhibitor from the office. 2) Dress like a normal human, try not to stand out. If you need a way to hide tails, horns, scales, wings, etc. Ask for the inhibitor, it changes your form as well. 3) Go in pairs. Never go alone. 4) Curfew is strictly after midnight. If you are not back on campus before then, the gates will be locked and you will be on your own until morning. 5) You are also subject to humans laws. If you look 16 but are really 207, please don't drink. We will not bail you out.
Failure to comply to these rules can lead to days in the Null Chamber, where your powers are nullified. If you are reprimanded on multiple occasions, the school has no other choice but to strip you of your powers and expel you. You may, however, return and stand trial to see if the school will let you back in.

Okay, so a few things to tell you about. One, there is only one building currently in use as a dorm. Two students to a room and genders alternate floors. 100s denotes ground floor and it has 9 rooms in total. 110-119 denote the second floor, this floor also has 9 room in total and the floors go on from there.
~Dorm~
The rooms are actually fairly spacious. Each room has a kitchenette, a small living area with a balcony view of either the gardens or the front gate, and two rooms with a conjoined bathroom. That means the characters share bathrooms (let the shenanigans begin). The rooms upon move in have a bed with no sheets, a bare desk, a bare closet and a bare dresser. Everything else brought is extra. Also, on the top floor there are practice rooms available for students to use as well as a rec-room where students can come to hang out, watch TV and play pool.
Now, as far as rooms and buildings you want the school to have, feel free to be creative. There's a cafeteria inside the main building and classrooms on either side. At the back is a large gymnasium with a basket ball court, weight systems and the like as well as a pool and a rock climbing wall. In the back near the gymnasium, is the garden area. It has a small pond with benches all around so that students can sit and do their work in relaxation.
If you have any other buildings rooms you'd like, feel free to ask. :)
Hi! I'm Emily(HylianRose). Feel free to call me whatever you wish. If I don't like it, I won't respond. :P
A few things about me, I'm a college student. So, my time is precious. If I decide that my school work is more important than replying to your post, you'll have to forgive me. I don't pay 36K to mess around. -awkward smile-
Still, I really like RPs like this and my favorite one died, so I made a new one! And boy, has it kicked off! (I've never had much luck with GMing, so we'll see how this goes, now won't we?)
I'm 19 years old. I play trumpet in my college's Concert and Pep Band. (I get paid for it, so yeah.) I have a boyfriend of 6 years. <3 I like the Legend of Zelda, Manga, Books, Language, Human Thought, My Characters, my cat (Gracie, if you ask for pictures, just be warned you're opening a can of worms.), RPing, Table-top RPing, and just about any time of snack food known to man. (Almost all of them bad for me.) I'm open to talking and conversation and I'm pretty laid back. Feel free to ask me any questions, even if it doesn't even pertain to the RP. I like talking. :3
~co-GM~ NarayanK :D
"Call me NK or NarayanK or whatever that comes into your mind when the term 'NarayanK' appears! I'm here to be a secondary superviser (aka. Co-GM), and I'll be checking up new Character Sheets for corrections that are needed, and as ordered by the GM, accept them! As of now, our dear Game Master is quite busy, so I'd like to give her a break and have myself do some of the dirty work informative work of being a co-GM.
I like writing stories, reading, fixing my terrifyingly retarded internet router, and video games! I tend to be a grammar nazi to myself, and I love getting feedback for some reason. But most importantly, I love roleplaying!
@Legion020 When you post your CS, I'll help you make it better, no worries. I won't just up and tell you you can't join. A weird special race is fine by me so long as the powers and weaknesses are lain out in full. If it's not okay, I'll let you know. Don't worry about it. :)
@All I'm working on the OOC right now. Expect it up within the next hour or so.
There's always room! The player cap for this is going to be pretty high. So until I say so, it's open. :)
@Princess But yes, I think rival schools would be cool, Princess. Would we make it one big RP or two separate ones? Separate RPs will make it hard for interaction between the schools. Meh, I dunno. I may just keep it like this and try to find a co-GM... I dunno. I can't be on very often. So I won't be here to really regulate. I'm thinking, if you could, just co-GM my side of the RP? I'll make the intro posts and stuff and a list of characters but I need someone to just be here and regulate. That's all I really need, is a co-GM. you could play both principals if you'd like. :P
@All I'm going to try and make the OOC post tonight, so just hang on tight. We'll be up and running soonish.
30+ year old writer.

[hider=Dragon Lore (FlightRising)]
Raira spends her time with her husband answering the questions of the clan in her brother's place so that Cuprite may spend his days working with other clan's leaders to build diplomatic influence for their clan and create healthy relationships with their neighbors.[/hider]
[hider=More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising)]

[hider=Even More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising)]

<br><br>She continued walking, her feet cut by the forest floor and raw by now. <br><br>Her tears pulled the attention of a man, just within earshot, who.. at first thought she might be some ghost. But against his better nature, walked closer to investigate. He hadn't planned on veering off course today, his mother would have surely punished him but he couldn't help his curiosity. It wasn't every day that the prince of his fair kingdom got the chance to explore out on his own like this, nevermind the fact that he'd slipped out unawares...<br><br>He approached the sound, still fully convinced he was going to be attacked by some foul witch or ghost trying to coax him closer, when he spotted her. She was hunched over in the grass and... completely naked?! He blinked, not really fully believing his eyes. But he couldn't stop his feet from getting closer from, trying to help her. <br><br>"..Miss? For all it's inhabitants that come from every walk of life, every corner of the world, he fights to protect and improve their lives. He is not a dragon to take his work and role lightly and expects as much from his future offspring.<br><br>His best friend growing up was a dragon called Ambrose, a very energetic Pearlcatcher dragon. Ambrose also had no idea as to why the two breeds had such disdain for each other.<br><br>"Why would anyone hate a Pearlcatcher? I think your pearls are really cool." Cuprite told his friend one day, huffing a bit at the idea of being mean just because of his breed. "Why wouldn't I think they're cool?"<br><br>"I'm not sure, honestly. I don't get why so many of my kind don't like yours. I asked my aunt and she said it's jealousy." Ambrose returned, shoulders shrugging apathetically.<br><br>"Well... I'm not jealous of any of the pearlcatchers! I think it's stupid to think like that." Cuprite huffed indignantly.<br><br>"And I'm not jealous of you. I can't really even think of a reason why I would be, you know?" Ambrose returned. "But... what can we do about other people? Not much."<br><br>"Well, when I'm older, I'm going to make my own clan where things like that don't matter. Where everyone is treated equally. I can't change everyone's way of thinking, but if you and I can think like this, the surely others can!" Cuprite huffed, sure of himself as he puffed his chest out. Nevermind the fact that he had no idea what it would take to lead a clan himself.<br><br>"That sounds nice... but I wonder if it's possible..." Ambrose sighed.<br><br>"Of course it is! Anything is possible if you put your mind to it."<br><br>Despite Cuprite's reassurances, he wasn't able to convince his friend to join him when he left their clan. His mother, however, was less than happy and made several attempts over the course of Cuprite's preparations to leave to stop him and his sister.<br><br>Unable to sway Cuprite or Raira to stay, the two left and set off to find a space for their clan. He allows dragons to enter freely and leave freely.<br><br>Dragons do have to be approved by his now trusted Advisors, a pair of Wildclaw dragons that had more than proven their worth protecting Cuprite and his family in the underbrush below the Behemoth. Amore and Aconite became a part of the Advisory Council that helped approve the acceptance of new dragons into their clan by helping them find a job/role within the community. Amore takes a larger role in helping to train old and new adult dragons to defend themselves along with his mate, Aconite.<br><br>Raira and her husband, Bercilak also help in guiding the community on the Advisory Council. Raira spends her time with her husband answering the questions of the clan in her brother's place so that Cuprite may spend his days working with other clan's leaders to build diplomatic influence for their clan and create healthy relationships with their neighbors.</div></div><br><br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising)">More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising) [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none">One day, while taking a stroll through the forest with his mate, Cuprite noticed a small tuft of bright green fur poking out from the bush. It wiggled a bit as he approached. He called out softly, "Hello?"<br><br>His mate, Eden, perked her head up, now seeing the odd looking hair as well. And just as soon as she took a step to get closer, it seemed to pop out at her. She was about to lift a paw to claw at it in defense, when Cuprite lifted a paw to stop her.<br><br>The bright green tuft of hair had gotten herself stuck in a mess of tangled sticks and bramble. Her big bright pinks looked up at him and they swirled with an intense arcane energy. All he could think of was that it must have been painful, having so much magical energy in such a small body. Leaning down, Cuprite, gave the small deer looking creature a cursory sniff before moving to help her out of the brambles.<br><br>She huffed and stomped her hooves in protest, even though she knew deep down he was only trying to help her. Once freed, however, she pranced around him in glee, bounding cheerfully.<br><br>"That feels better, hm?" He chuckled, watching her until it made him feel dizzy. She paused for a moment, those big pink eyes watching him before she took a few steps closer to him, tentatively. Taking it as an invitation, Cuprite, bent his head down to her, to be a bit more on her level. At this, she slowly pressed forward until their noses touched.<br><br>Pink sparks seemed to literally fly in the space between their snouts, and Cuprite felt something shoot down his spine. His heart felt warm and suddenly he could her a voice...<br><br>"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?"<br><br>The voice was soft, gentle and sounded very much like a young hatchling might.<br><br>"Yes... I can hear you..."<br><br>"Oh! Oh! Joy! That brings me so much joy! I think I would have been in those brambles forever if you hadn't come along." She chuckled, seeming to grin to herself. Her blue fur seemed to shimmer even more in the light of the sun as she stepped into a patch of sunlight.<br><br>"And you are...?" He asked, chuckling again.<br><br>"Hm? Me? I.. To be honest, I'm not sure what I am! I just.. woke up and started wandering around. And then I got stuck.. and then I met you!"<br><br>"My love... Just who exactly are you talking to?" Eden asked, a worried expression turning on her face as she watched him.<br><br>"Hm? You can't hear her?" He asked, confused.<br><br>"Oh, only you can! I'm your spirideer now!" She started, blinking for a moment. "Oh... I guess that just came to me... weird... But anyway, I bonded to you! Well, our hearts did." She explained, making a quick spin as sparkles of magic floated around her.<br><br>"My... Spirideer?" Cuprite started, blinking a bit. He hadn't expected a new companion today, much less one that bonded to him... But, here he was.</div></div><br><br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="Even More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising)">Even More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising) [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none">Raira had always been a free spirit. Though, she hadn't anticipated he'd settle them down so quickly...<br><br>She still hasn't really forgiven him for that and regularly leaves the community to explore on her own. If asked, she'd explain that there was something inside of her, something that vibrated with an intensity she couldn't explain and the only solution was to fly free and explore at her own pace.<br><br>Raira didn't have many friends growing up, but the one she had was the truest friend she'd ever had. The only person who knew about Pache was her brother Cuprite, who despite not understanding how she could understand or communicate with Pache respected her relationship with him.<br><br>Raira remembers a humorous moment when Pache and Cuprite misunderstood each other.<br><br>"...What? Why are you doing that?" Cuprite asked, his eyes narrowing as he watched the small white Fae dragon flutter around him, bouncing up and down from the ground wildly, his head frills moving and undulating.<br><br>"Raira!" The smaller dragon called, his voice high-pitched but utterly monotone.<br><br>"What about her?" Cuprite asked again.<br><br>"Birth! Birth!" Pache cried out, still trilling frantically.<br><br>"What?!" He asked, blinking. "Are you trying to say Raira has laid eggs? That's not even possible! She's too young!" He started, now frantic. "Oh god, how would we explain this to mother? Should we tell her? Do we have to?" Cuprite mumbled to himself, mind churning.<br><br>Pache visibly deflated a bit before starting back up again. By the time Pache spoke again, Cuprite was already running to find Raira. "Birth day! Birth dayyyy!" He cried out after the larger dragon.<br><br>Cuprite had found Raira by that point and a rather humorous exchange took place in which her brother, face impossibly red, tried to ask her if she had laid any eggs recently. Which had, in fact, prompted a rather red face from her as well. They had a rather long conversation about trying to learn how to properly read Pache's frills but that certainly wasn't the only time Cuprite and Pache had misunderstood each other.<br><br>When Raira arrived at the Gladebough Village, she met an incredibly handsome and sweet Imperial Dragon whom she fell instantly in love with. She spent the first few months they were in the village, following him around, trying to impress him with both her physical prowess and intelligence. He didn't seem interested at all at first. He often scoffed silently and turned his nose up at her, walking away. But after months of trying and trying, Raira was a few steps away from giving up on him completely when he actually responded to her.<br><br>"Bercilak! I found a pretty stone while hunting near the river that I wanted to show you." Raira called out, grinning as she dropped the stone at his table, where he was reading a scroll on the history of fighting tactics used by Ice dragons. She half expected him to completely ignore her and was ready after waiting a moment to pick the stone back up and turn away.<br><br>She watched him look up from his scroll, however, head raising just slightly as he looked at the stone. "It is.. very pretty.." He mumbled, glancing her away for the briefest of moments before looking back at his book.<br><br>From then on, Raira never left Bercilak alone and it seemed as though the younger dragon didn't mind. As she walked, however, she heard the roar of a dire claw.<br><br>It swiped at her and she barely managed to dodge out of the way. It felt as if everything moved in slow motion. The leaves in the trees seemed to still as she watched Bercilak leap out in front of her, fighting with the bear. He was severely wounded, but the young dragon did manage to hold his ground against the bear long enough for it to tire of them and run off. Worried, Raira raced to his side.<br><br>"Bercy, are you okay? Oh my goodness... Oh no... What am I going to do.." She cried out, tears streaming down her face. In her mind, his wounds had to be fatal, she just knew it.<br><br>"Calm down, little one..." He replied, his voice soft and even toned. It sounded as if he wasn't even hurt. Which, Raira had to admit had bolstered her mood considerably. Tears still streamed down her face but now, she felt like he would be okay, that it would be okay.<br><br>"Let me go get Cuprite!" She called out, starting to get up. She was stopped by Bercilak, who had grabbed her leg and pulled her back.<br><br>"Stay... He'll come back to check on us and I don't want you to be alone out there..." He grumbled, voice deep and now tinged with obvious pain. Raira could feel her heart breaking for him but she stayed with him, doing what she could. Cuprite did eventually find them and rush to help his sister get Bercilak back to the village for healing.<br><br>Since that moment, a sort of unspoken bond formed between Raira and Bercilak and they became mates despite never asking one another. Because of this incident, Raira spends a lot of her time researching healing salves and healing magic so that she never has to feel that helpless again.</div></div><br><br><span class="bb-b">Catch me on;</span><br><br>FlightRising - HylianRose<br>Pokefarm Q - HylianRoze<br>Discord - Ask!<br></div>
