Am I the only who thinks that a "Hall Pass" system actually makes more sense than anything here?On another note, I can see where this is going. What I'm confused on, however, is the fact that some students do have the option of leaving to their homes (unless that was changed recently), yet they can't take a quick trip to a store (at most) several hundred meters away from it. Or if the entire "going outside" is a problem, you could just have a store located the boundaries of the Academy so that this kind of problem would not even arise in the first place.EDIT: You go outside, you might as well get assassinated by one of dem villains.

This is why I have you.

Sure. There's a small grocery located within the walls of the school so that Anedine can go solo.
Let's go ahead and put a small clothing store as well. It won't sell much however. Just school affiliated things Like shirts, sweat pants, hoodies, etc.

Going home is different, however. When a student goes home, they are no longer under the care of the school. They have to sign out and then they are allowed to go home. Once they sign, the school is no longer obligated. When they go out of the school to do or get something, however, they are still under the protection of the school. If anything happens, Maria is legally responsible.

And 'Hall Pass'? So only one group of students can leave at a time and they can only have a minimum of two students in the group?

There's a villain? Interesting.Or maybe just some exaggeration, but whatever.Maybe i'll just let this go.

And yes. We have quite an arsenal. Trust me, this RP won't be boring. And no... Not an exaggeration. It's been mostly said in IC so I don't feel bad revealing it here...

The big baddie? Yeah, he's Satan. Lucifer, Devil, big cahoona and he's not some push over. You can think want you want, I'll only reveal his CS when he appears in IC. But uh... yeah. :D

Seems like you're trying to keep that rule for some bit of shenanigans though, by stating the fact just now that nothing really of interest is within 300 meters.A bit unfair, but still fine though. Most schools here IRL has some store within a short walk away. It is unusual for a school not to have one.

Shenanigans? That's up to characters. Not really one of my aims. I'm just trying to go with what I believe my character would do and I've already explained my reasons. I also didn't 'just decide' that the school was in a housing district with almost no stores around it. I don't understand why Anedine can't go with someone, be it male or female. Character developmeeeent. ~

There is one corner store nearby but again, I'm not going to over complicate the rules. Plus, I do not believe Maria would do that. She's not always at the school and she can't always be on the look out. She wants students to be safe and she sees making them go out in pairs as better odds of them being able to defend themselves.

Just trust me. Under the protection of the school, the students are a lot safer than outside. Once they go outside, our villain can more easily attack them. (Even just pairs is pushing it.) Plus, if you really want your character to have solo time, let them break the rule. Lulz.

I never said the character had to follow it. I just put it there.
Eric - Cafeteria

Demon? Fire breath? Weird nurse in the infirmary? Certainly not what he was expecting but then again, what was he expecting? He sighed and closed his eyes, trying to shake the feeling of... fear? What if something bad happened to him? He'd have to avoid stuff like that...

He had food in his mouth when Crash asked him about drawing and he almost choked on it.

Of course they'd ask me. Then again, he doesn't know if it has anything to do with my powers.

He swallowed nervously and then looked up to see Crash already getting up, leaving. Eric blinked and turned to watch him leave, an awkward almost pouting look on his face.

I didn't even get a chance to say the thing I didn't want to say... Come on...

He raised a brow at the forehead slap and chuckled, deciding he'd forgive him. He turned back to Kathy and Zivon, a small smile on his face. Kathy had her head on the desk but soon raised it to apologize. Eric simply smiled and shook his head.

"It's fine. You're lucky to have something like that." Eric told her, pulling another fry to his mouth. She asked if they'd been to their rooms yet and if she needed to show them to the dorm. Eric shook his head slowly, a smile still on his face. "No. I've already been. My room's unpacked. Did that this morning. Thank you very much for the offer though." He told her. He gave her a sweet smile for a few seconds and then looked back down at his food. He had about a quarter of a burger left and a few fries. He wasn't really that hungry anymore either. He blinked when Kathy handed them both a slip of paper with her number on it. After a few seconds, he smiled and pulled out his phone to put her number in it. "Thanks." He told her.

He stood up, plate in hand and walked over to the trashcan and plopped his plastic plate in. He walked back slowly and stopped at the table. "Do... you guys... m-mind if I stick with you? the only other things I could do is stay in my room all day..." He explained to the two, feeling nervous for asking.

Lily - Hallway

My memories?

Another flash of pain.

She closed her eyes and tried to wish the pain away. She swallowed and opened her eyes after a few moments. Matt? His name was Matt?

Another flash of pain.

Her breathing was starting to get heavy and her face was starting to get pale. The room was slowly starting to spin, her pain thresh hold being severely tested. "I... Bael..." She mumbled, stumbling onto the blue eyed demon. Her hands lifted up to grab his sleeve. "I don't... feel..." She mumbled... The pain beginning to recede again. "I... keep getting this headache..." She told him, looking up at Bael. "I lost my memories? So I did know you from before!" She shouted and then turned to look at Matt. "And you! I knew you looked fami-" She began, stopping when the pain started up again. She stumbled against Bael once again. She bit her lip, trying not to shout out in pain. Whenever she tried to think about how or where she knew them, the pain got worse, as if there were a spiked barrier around those memories.

"I... It hurts to try and think... I'm sorry..." She told them, her head buried in Bael's arm. She felt bad that she couldn't truly remember them, she felt as though she'd let them down somehow.

I see then. But make it a bit lighter though? As in if going solo, just within a 300 meter distance so someone from within can see?

I don't understand what you mean.

Hmm... I suppose so. From Maria's office at the top of the main building it's feesable that she'd be able to see the students around the area. But not much if found around the school. Just a few houses and such. You'd have to go over 300 meters away from the school to get to anything worth while. So it's almost not even worth it unless they just want to get out beyond the walls. I honestly think it's more trouble than it's worth to try and explain that on the paper. As an Education minor, it's important that rules but short and simple and easy to understand. The longer and more complex they are, the more difficult they are to understand and people won't follow them.

Honestly, going in pairs isn't that hard unless you just have an anti-social character and in that case, it's Maria's way of saying, 'Time to make friends, kiddo.'

Edit: Nope, no stores. Maybe a corner store, but no... The school is located in a housing district. (Oddly enough. I feel bad for the people around there... - cough-)

Go in pairs seems a bit too... strict. Maybe only applied at night?

Doesn't seem strict to me. It sounds exactly like something Maria would do. If it creates a problem, we can change it but... Merr....
(They can't go out at night... -cough- The only people that would be allowed out at night are those that have been given permission from Maria herself.)

The reason Maria would say pairs is because if anything should happen to them, they aren't alone. Support, yanno?
but I can see where this could be a redundant rule.

Crime isn't really something you can pin point and say when it's going to happen. It can happen at anytime. And at anytime outside of the walls of her school, Maria's students can be snatched/caught/maimed/mangled by all sorts. She's fully aware of the villain we have made for this RP and she knows what said villain is capable of. She's not going to send her students out there unarmed and it's better to go in pairs. So no, I won't change the rule. It stands. .-.

Ewwie.
I'm 19. I turn 20 in September.

Yay for being a 1994 baby.
@Asuras

vndfjvdfk I love them! Very nice characters. I can't wait to see them in action.

My only problem, and it's rather small, lies with Mary.

I mean all of this in the nicest way possible and I don't mean to be rude.

Body Mastery - Mary is immune to the effects of mind-control, haemokinesis, and telekinesis; she possess ultimate and full control over her body, down to the very cells in her body. This allows her to instigate faster regeneration of her body, though is by no means capable of shrugging off fatal wounds, or persisting after numerous grievous afflictions. At best, regeneration for her is twice as fast as that of a normal human's.

While there are limitations on this power, I'm iffy on accepting any form of regeneration. We've already denied a zombie character idea that could regenerate. She reminds me of a character from Samurai Deeper Kyo...

I may have to think about that one. Part of my wants to allow her to have it because it makes sense and part of me want to say no just because it's regeneration.

Blah...

>.>'

<.<'

It makes sense to me, so I'll allow it. On one condition...

Just Kidding.

Didn't see this part.

To actually use her regenerative powers effectively, Mary must first become inactive, essentially napping. Monitoring and control over cells to properly regenerate takes utmost concentration, and works poorly when going about doing other things.

That's a pretty good balance for it. I'll accept it. Very nice. I'll add them to the listing and you can start in the IC whenever you wish.

@ Destiny,

In order to leave the school, the student has to check out with the main office. The main office gives each student a little slip of paper that tells them the do's and the don'ts of being in the 'outside' world and their consequences. The paper essentially says,

Paper said

So... You want to go outside? Here are few things you might want to keep in mind. (We strongly suggest them.)

1) Don't use your powers. If you can't control your powers, ask for an inhibitor from the office.
2) Dress like a normal human, try not to stand out. If you need a way to hide tails, horns, scales, wings, etc. Ask for the inhibitor, it changes your form as well.
3) Go in pairs. Never go alone.
4) Curfew is strictly after midnight. If you are not back on campus before then, the gates will be locked and you will be on your own until morning.
5) You are also subject to humans laws. If you look 16 but are really 207, please don't drink. We will not bail you out.

Failure to comply to these rules can lead to days in the Null Chamber, where your powers are nullified. If you are reprimanded on multiple occasions, the school has no other choice but to strip you of your powers and expel you. You may, however, return and stand trial to see if the school will let you back in.

Have fun on your trip!
Maria Cross

@All, if your character(s) don't have a roommate or a dorm assignment, PLEASE PM ME. I need to know who needs to be paired up. I know Asuras do, but I'm unaware if anyone else does. I also might be changing some of it up so that the trio aren't all roomed together. Unless we want them to be... -le shrug-

Well, hope you don't mind me making a faction of mages unaffiliated with the school then.

Not at all. I'll let you know if you do anything I don't like. Don't worry. Lol.
