Desktop profile login won't work. Coincidence that Windows 7 is no longer supported on same day? Consider me doubtful.

I'm having way too much fun with my Legend of Zelda Encylopedia. This is the game that got me into roleplaying so have a lot invested in it's lore and stories. Too bad can't have all the games too.

In the end it is absolutely impossible for there to be peace on this Earth, that being said it is our duty to do the best that we can. Course as a Seventh-Day Adventist I believe that eventually everything will be made right by Jesus' second coming but until that time, gotta work with what we got. Glad I don't have to put all my eggs in the fragile Earth basket that will manage to fail itself one way or the other at this rate.

@mdk Now if everyone could be the same ideology without splintering it would be theoretically possible to have peace on this Earth but in reality everyone has their own ideas and variations which will always muck things up. Since we don't live in such an ideal world just have to try and improve our own systems of government as best we can while helping our fellow man.

The theoreticals aside, now for a more political question. What do you think of North Korea's children's cartoon, Squirrel and Hedgehog?

So the North Koreans are the Squirrels, Americans are Wolves, Japanese are Weasels, South Koreans are Mice and the Russians are Bears, though you won't see that in the clip. Kinda reminded me of the Redwall series a bit if it were in modern times XD.
The only way it would be possible for the entire human race to come together is if everyone could be convinced to accept the same ideology. This is a complete impossibility for many reasons, one easily identifiable reason being the idea that all ideas and ideologies are equally viable. Even people who claim everyone is equal probably don't actually believe it hence, according to that that logic even a racial supremacist has an equal view to a nihilist or whatever ideology you want to put out there.

Diversity is not strength when the members of that diversity are completely opposed to each other. Tolerance has become intolerance and everything has quickly come full circle around to exactly the same problems humanity has been dealing with for all time. For there to even be the remotest possibility for all of humanity to come together, there has to be some kind of unifying ideology for the people to follow, otherwise differences of opinion will inevitably lead to conflict.

As annoying as it might be to admit, the ideologies closest to bringing people together have been and will always be, Religion[that being said there are a lot of 'religions' that cannot do this or are even exclusionary because of the beliefs they hold]. The reason why Religion is, and always will be, the best chance for humanity to come together is because it makes people come together with an easily identifiable foundation like a god.

Of course, I'd say it is safe to say that like any ideology as soon as it gets too big and bulky it starts to be abused by people. Every ideology that attempts to create a global community is doomed to fail because of the humans who try to use it, maybe the ideology is right in what it is trying to accomplish but the execution will always be faulty due to human error, negligence, greed, etc. A world without borders, without killing, without opposing viewpoints is impossible, unless there is some outside force that can straighten things out.

Like it or not, Religions will always exist on this Earth as most people feel that the Earth is way too crazy to ever become a paradise without some external force to right things. Of course, even though it is probably impossible to get everyone on Earth to agree to get along, at the very least don't be part of the problem and do your best to help out.

If you could find a way for Christians, Muslims, and Atheists to exist peacefully together then maybe there would be a chance for world peace. Oh, but then I'd be forgetting the Buddhists, Taoists, Satanists, Shintoists, Judaists, Catholics[as some Christians consider them to be separate from Christianity], Deists, Hindus, and of course all the different sects of all the different religions in the world. People either learn to live with each other or reject each other and because certain ideologies are naturally enemies of the other, rejection will and does happen on a regular basis.

Until a single Ideology/Religion can be shared by all of humanity it is impossible to bring the Earth together, at least in a peaceful way...I for one do not want to see anyone subjected to any kind of tyrannical ideology or government that tries to impose its views on everyone else.

Oh and until North Korea is saved from its evil dictator, there can never be true peace on the Earth XD.

I don't blame anyone who didn't bother to read the whole thing. The short and quick is humanity can only be brought together if everyone can accept a single ideology. Also the only likely way for that to happen is through the power of some outside force like God. Best thing we can do as individuals is to help out and be kind and considerate to our fellow man rather than trying to force our ideas on others, if you think your way of thinking is a better way then by all means, share it so people can discuss it and decide for themselves.
(A character I deeply liked but...a certain important detail about the religion she was made to be a part of made me unable to role play her any further. I tried to think of a way around it but felt any attempts at such would destroy her character. You are remembered fondly, at least by me.)

Name: Juliana Rose Silvern

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Appearance: Her Armor. Juliana stands at 5'7" and has a smaller bust than in the picture XD. Also when not wearing her armor, wears clothing much more suitable for nobles like dresses and such.

Personality: Her loyalty to her family is absolute and she would do nearly anything to bring honor to their name. She is also a firm believer in the Iron Rose Knight’s duty to protect and serve. The weak are to be protected and it is the strong’s duty to be defenders; therefore, when someone who is weak is trying to protect the results can be disastrous. This belief makes Juliana feel that the inexperienced Fanilly is unfit to be captain and so someone more suited to the task should take her place, like herself.

Raised in a noble household Juliana knows the art of ‘masks’ yet is not afraid to let her feelings be known. Her distain for the old traditional way of choosing a captain is hardly veiled, but she will not let those feelings get in the way of her knightly duties. She can seem full of herself at times but she genuinely wants what is best for her country and wants to protect people with all her heart.

Brief Backstory: Juliana was born to the noble household of Silvern, a very prominent family in Thaln. Their noble ‘stock’ grew after the rebellion of Phoran Cal as they were one of the greatest supporters of the Iron Rose Knights. The Silvern household has kept its affairs close to the Iron Rose Knights and while they support the knights fully, they also are very staunch supporters for doing away with the old tradition of choosing the captain from young girls born under a full moon.

Her family had planned to give birth to her under a full moon but due to some complications in birth she was born as the moon started waning again. The idea had been to get a girl into the position first; making it rather easy to change the system from within, but this was not to be the case. Still her parents were not about to give up and so started to raise her up to be the next captain despite the fact that by tradition she was no longer eligible for the position.

Raised with the best tutors nobles could buy, Juliana was molded into a great warrior and noble. Being devout followers of Mayon Juliana found herself gravitating toward the paladins of Mayon and incorporated their more defensive type battle style into her own. While her training was focused on the battlefield she did not neglect her noble daughter duties and is accomplished in the political field as well. Her parents made sure to give their daughter the opportunity to grow socially as well so as to gather favor with the other nobles to strengthen her position.

Equipment: Juliana wears ornamented plate armor with chainmail mesh underneath to increase mobility and reduce friction. Her standard equipment is a large shield in her left and a long sword in her right

Skills: Juliana has been taught the traditional art of sword and shield with an emphasis being on using the shield effectively to punish her opponents while defending herself. Bashing, parrying, or even just pushing her opponent with her large shield are integral parts of her training then using her sword to finish off her opponent.

Outside of combat she is an accomplished dancer, socialite, and rider. Essentially skills designed to make her look like the ideal noblewoman and captain material.
Guys feel free to come up with your own dangers to introduce from time to time. Whenever you guys make a situation I'll allow you to resolve it on your own and react accordingly. There are quite a few things that could happen.
I must say this is a very interesting question of 'when should I unassociate with someone based on their beliefs?' Well obviously this is something you have to think about yourself and set some guidelines but a few things come to mind about when you should get as far away as possible from that person.

1. If you disagree with someone on an issue, do they instantly just turn hostile toward you? If a person does not have the decency to stay civil even if they strongly disagree with a position you hold that person is not good to stay around.

2. Does this person hang out with people that have extreme views and are known to be violent? There are quite few of these kinds of groups on all sides of political issues and knowing about them and if your friend is very friendly with them can be quite telling. Unless they distance themselves they may fall into dangerous territory and drag you down with em.

3. Does the position they hold make you sick because you find it so morally reprehensible? This is a completely your call kind of a thing but there are certain views people find so morally objectionable that it can actually have a negative impact on your own psyche. Sometimes you do need to just take a stand against an outrageous view and tell them why you distanced yourself from them. Admittedly, this kind of reasoning though is one of the easiest to abuse and go overboard with so you have to be careful with this one.

In general though, everyone has differences of opinion so the general rule of thumb should probably be to learn to live with em, accept that there will be differences and learn to live with em. Find your breaking point and stick with it making sure those around you know what to expect. In the end, the only person you can truly control is yourself and through example you can sometimes bring a person over to your point of view.
Ooh, I'm interested in My Dearest Summon. But you say it's on modern times. So it's like an urban fantasy sort of thing?

I would say that would be a correct assumption of that role play. If you want more information take it to PM.
@IceHeart

Hello again! Is Sorceress x Knight still available.

I just recently started a Sorceress x Knight[though technically without the knight] roleplay so having another one would be a little boring for me I'm afraid.
After everyone was in position and everything double-checked, the merry band was off on their grand adventure. Soon enough the mansion was but a small speck as the convoy made its way down the road. It was impossible for Veronica to stay still in the carriage as she kept looking from window to window at the country side. The pace was slow so even considering Brighton was only a few miles away it would still take about an hour of travel, partly due to a small stretch of heavily wooded land between their mansion and the large town.

So far the mechanical vehicle was doing just fine though getting used to the sounds the engine made as well as the occasional steam puff would take some time. The horseless carriage was a powerful thing though, as it was having little trouble hauling the Gear Heart Golem. As the two carriages began to enter the wooded area Veronica plopped herself down on her father's lap. "Oh I can't wait till we get there! Will it be much longer?" Veronica tilted her head back to peer up at her father's chin, who just smiled in response.

"You'll just have to wait and see for yourself, good things come to those who are patient." Janett winked at Veronica from the other side of the carriage. "I'm sure you'll get a nice treat if you behave yourself!"
@Apollosarcher

I think we're waiting on you now.

Not really waiting, I was just being a lazy bum for the past few days...plus working on some 1x1 stuff.
Too lazy...to make new thread. This will do.
