This is also like the series Death Battle. I'm up for it. Like Davlamin I'm not sure 100% if it should still be in arena or not (it could but also could not). We could do a 1x1 roleplay and just have a bunch of planned battles? That could be fun.

It would still be good for testing out characters because as the discussions what would be going on, you could be coming up with why that would or would not be effective against them and whatnot. It also wouldn't be pulling stuff out at random to try to beat them, so you can feel more inclined to post "what if I could do this awesome thing?" and not have the opponent claim they are god modding or something. It would be a good thing to get that ability idea out there to see if it is indeed op before being used in actual arena fights.

P.S. Quadruple backflips should still be allowed in reason. ;)

I mean yeah
I like it too

but it rarely happens
with a thematic ending

You could do battles that have a victory style where you can't end just by time limit or having the character give up and go home.
Yes I am still up for this

I know fights can be ended without deaths but I've seen the ranked fights
and they just end

no one's like "You...*cough cough*... have defeated me...blueh"

I like fights ending.
Speaking of deaths, it seems fair for Vordak to take a hit on this one. Still interested in playing everybody?

Yes and yes.
For my example I meant he shoots the bullet at Evvie but she burns him before he can shoot so his bullet never happens. I'd be 100% fine with her incinerating him to death to stop the bullet from being fired if she had the time to do so in between him aiming and pulling the trigger, but I said this would be the questionable reaction time unless it's crystal clear she's far quicker from the sheet. Much easier to accept if he says he charges at her with a sword and says he swings, of course she'll interrupt that attack from occurring and burn him to death if she's inclined to kill him. Of course he could change his plan after my post saying the fire comes in to possibly avoid his doom or maybe even interrupt her fire, but reacting to her mouth opening and stopping her fire before it comes out is a huge stretch.

Well, that also wouldn't be so illogical. While it would be difficult to judge, there is no indication that he is not that much faster than you. Even just shooting fire at him can be an interrupt.

It would be highly questionable to have it interrupt so quickly that I say he can't even get his shot off before he's consumed by fire, especially if he aimed at me first. I see why Gun would like to avoid such situations entirely if it's hard to gauge exactly what is possible, but to help avoid such problems we'd need more detail in the exact speed of characters actions and/or a good judge who knows the characters well.

Every system has problems but I still stand by interrupts and trying our best to judge the most logically, even if we make mistakes sometimes on what they can do.

I was thinking of getting rid of the spell per day system and go based off of power points and instead of take the basic spells maybe do the words of power variant thats outlined in one of the Pathfinder books.

A spell per day would equate perfectly to once per battle, but that's not to say you can't upgrade your use amount for your character by any means.

Ranked match anyone? I need some fun.

Is still need to finish my goth bat girl and possibly fight Gun with her if he's still interested, finally get around to my Nexus Evvie post, and a science fiction setting I'm working to to spawn a lot of roleplays. Once I get that stuff out of the way I will be more open to a challenge.
An illogical interrupt would be like Evvie seeing someone aim a gun to shoot her so she shoots fire that hits him before he can fire his gun, and there's no indication that she's that much faster than him. Most illogical interrupts have to do if the character does not have the reaction speed or time to carry it out. The only other illogical examples I could see is if they do something they couldn't anyways even with the required time, but that's just a straight out illogical attack.

no no, I mean her saying that.

Oh, then that would be her ultimate move. She can pull a thread out of someone's soul and cut it for instant death, even if they are immortal. Maybe she kills their God that way after killing their Satan the old fashioned way. She ushers in an era of mankind because all the mythology people suck in her setting.

She'd kind of be like Superman or One Punch Man in their settings where most of the time you know they are overpowered and are in no danger, but the story is cool in other ways to make up for it. Once she joins my multiverse she would only be top tier rather than more overpowered than anyone. She won't physically be as fast or strong as my main character team although makes up for it other ways t be on level with the team.
@ImportantNobodyNeat, neat, but unrelated to Disney Herculese. If a match comes down to two characters with hax, it becomes immovable object against unstoppable force. Two dudes saying they win at the same time.

Hercules dies in the mythology so he's clearly beatable and couldn't defeat op thread lady. He could beat yarn catgirl, who doesn't do as much hax and is more of a joke character. She's powerful but not demigod powerful for sure.
What about characters with threads that can't be frigged with? Cat girl thread lady vs Disney Herculese.

My catgirl yarn girl isn't the same as op thread lady even if op thread lady could do the same things as catgirl's powers and much more. Catgirl could have a yarn that kills her if cut but it doesn't boost her powers by having good fate or anything.
