Bleach: BANKAI!

At the end of the meeting, Jōichirō stands from the room and makes his exit. Smiling all along the way out at anyone that would make eye contact with him. His haori, always in pristine condition of course, flaps lightly in the wind. Underneath the pure white exterior that is emblazoned with the icon kanji of the number Five symbolizing his status as the captain of that squad, sits plenty of secrets. First and foremost, a colorful lining that is obviously custom-sewn. In the pockets of his haori held a couple of flasks of unknown liquids, and a notepad with random bits and bobs scribbled down.

Walking briskly, he made his trek back to the barrack of his squad. The trees in the courtyard have lost all their leaves in anticipation of the coming winter. Snow that have drifted down and gathered itself on the branches line the edges like white shadows. Balling his left fist up, he blows a sharp breath of hot air through it in some feeble attempt to heat them up. A few lower ranked members of his squad are scattered about, sweeping the snow off from the elevated pathways that line the rooms of the barracks. Giving a polite nod to them, he proceeded into the great hall in the barrack, happy to see that there are several pots of tea being kept warm on hearths.

Taking out a medium sized flask from his left sleeve pocket, he unceremoniously emptied the content of the flask into the small crackling fire, causing a small sizzle and a puff of smoke from the liquid. Taking a cup from nearby, he takes a taste of the tea from that specific fire. A mellow black tea, with a golden yellow tea liquor."Mm. Someone took out the good stuff today... Interesting." His voice was always soft when he spoke in his barrack, and this time was no exception. "A floral body, smooth, slight bit of astringent aftertaste. A bit of honey can do this tea a world of good. Zealong, I think. The Zealong Black, possibly... I'll have to check our tea reserves... Hmm.." With a small smile, he savored the last sips of the tea that was in his cup, rinsed it out with some hot water that was boiling near by. He then poured some of the tea from the kettle into his flask, filling it about three quarters of the way up. He has a small jar of rare orange blossom honey that one of this squad members brought back from the Human world tucked away in his office. Walking briskly once more, he made his way into his office, body now sufficiently warmed. By the lack of general interaction, he would think his squad members are just out and about, training and what not. It is the middle of the day after all. Speaking of which, where is his food...

Sitting in his office, he added a few drops of honey into the flask that is now holding the tea from the great hall. Giving the flask a gentle shake, he made sure the honey was sufficiently melted and distributed through the tea. Taking a sip and being satisfied with the mix, he takes out his notepad and starts going over all the notes he managed to take down during the meeting...

"Vasto Lordes. Multiple at that. Thats going to take a few captains to handle. Can get messy. Not getting my hands dirty for that. I guess we'll just be ready to get deployed... As usual." A small smirk as he made preliminary plans in regards to one of the threats discussed during the meeting. "But now, more pressing concerns..." He flips a few pages in the notepad to a blank page. Small mumbles can be very faintly heard from his lips and he would snap his right fingers and the notepad would temporarily glow a faint blue before revealing the contents he wished to hide.

• ^{( 3 )} Curtain Call -- With the aid of his bionic mask, providing guidance support and targeting, and his trusty rifle Whisper, Jhin can effectively hit his target from 4400 yards away.
• ^{( 3 )}Last Whisper -- Whisper, his trusty rifle, is a heavily modified version of FN SCAR, including caliber change, longer stock, switching out the standard sights for a laser guided sights that synchronizes with his bionic mask and most importantly cartridge size. Currently, Jhin carries with him magazines with only a four round capacity. However, the last bullet in each magazine is imbued with magic, granting it higher ballistic velocity and bionic armor penetration.

History: Jhin, as he will introduce himself to anyone, was a child born in the slums of Frixion Prime. His parents were lowly merchants of mundane technology, the kind that everyone already has but have to repurchase from time to time. Every from an young age, Jhin has shown himself to be quite the tinkerer. Picking up some of his parent's wares and improving upon them to fetch them a better price. Though they lived in the slums, they were never impoverished. Around the age of 12, Jhin started getting involved with some of the other children in his neighborhood. Getting his hands on his first firearm at that age, Jhin discovered that he was much better than his peers at its usage, hitting target after target, no matter the distance, with ease....

This continued for a few years, while his family business slowly declined. Debt started piling up, and while Jhin did what he could to tinker with their inventory, the demand simply was not there. Debtor came night and day to collect, often resorting to violence. Many times Jhin dashed to his room, reaching for his chest where he kept his pistol. His mother followed him, and forbade him from doing what he was planning on doing, claiming that violence is never the answer...

Coming home from school one day, at age 15, he discovered that his father was dead, and mother missing. All that was left was a note, stating that if he did not pay off their debt of 2 million bits within a week, his mother would be killed as his father was. Scared, angry, confused, he reached for his pistol, and found the same boys he hung out with years prior. Some of these boys never returned to regular life, instead choose the dark underworld to reside. Based on their past friendship and knowledge of what Jhin can do with a simple pistol, they offered a 'test' of sorts. A quick job, killing off some business mogul that is impinging on his friend's business. The return was a measly 500 thousand bits, a farcry from what he needed to save his mother. However, Jhin knew he had to start somewhere so he went with it. With his job, his old friend opened up the war chest and offered him any and all weapons Jhin would like to use. Considering getting up close and personal with a business mogul, who most likely has a personal protection detail at all times, was a bad idea, Jhin found a rifle that felt right in his hands, took a few practice shots in the range, and went out to carry out his mission....

Staking out on a roof top, adjacent to the bar the business mogul frequently visits, Jhin wiped away the sweat on his forehead. Or was it rain? He couldn't remember. Under the cover of night, with nothing but the dim street lamp and moon guiding his sight, Jhin waited. Four hours after he found his position on that roof top, he saw his target emerge from the doors. He counted 4 body guards, one in each direction of the businessman. Taking a deep breath, he knew as soon as he fired on the businessman, he would be under fire from the body guards. He decided to take out his target first, then in rapid succession, fire clockwise and take out the body guards. He reached forward to twist on his silencer, making sure it was secure, he closed his left eye and looked down the sights with his right. His target about 500 meters away. With a slight squeeze, and a muffle pop, he saw that his main target had fallen to the ground, blood spurting from the hole Jhin had just made. Four more pops. Four more dead bodies. Gulping, Jhin was surprisingly calm about all of it. He tucked the rifle into its bag and climbed off the roof, walking away as if nothing had happened in the dark of night...

The next job was substantially more lucrative, at 1.35 million bits. A local politician was having trouble with a rival. When the usual dirt tactics did not work, she grew restless. Turning to the criminal underworld, she has tasked someone to put her rival down, for good. There would be a lot more heat on this job, and heavier implications, and thus the payout was much larger. Jhin knew he could do it. But this is cutting it quite close to the deadline, as he would have to finish this job, and then immediately finish another one to come up with the entire sum of 2 million bits. Jhin took the job, taking a gamble that he will be able to turnaround and finish one last job after this....

Kneeling in an empty room roughly 2 blocks from where his target should be, Jhin steadied his hands, holding onto his weapon of choice for this job the Barrett MRAD. Looking down the scope, he lined up where approximately the politician would stand on the podium as he delivered his speech. Quickly checking around, Jhin assumed a squad of personal protection detail, probably 5 to 8. Thats more than he can take care of quickly, so Jhin devised an escape route that would lead him directly into the crowd that is going to be moving away from the crime scene.

Thirty minutes passes. No sign of the speaker. Jhin nervously checks his watch. He now only has 4 hours to complete this task plus another one. He reaches for his cell phone and call his old friend, lining up his next target while he scans through the scope for his current target. Even if the speaker does not make it all the way up to the podium, as long as he has a clean shot, Jhin is taking it and moving on immediately to his next target.

Another hour passes, no signs of the speaker. The crowd that was gathered in now starting to slowly disperse....

One more hour passes. The crowd, like Jhin's hopes, have all but gone now...

He reaches for his phone and calls the debtor. He told them he has the money and can meet them. The debtor, elated, told Jhin a location and Jhin replied that he needs a few hours to get there. After some negotiation, the debtor agreed to meet Jhin in 3 hours time. As soon as he hangs up, Jhin calls his old friend and told him to get the payments ready, as he is going to need it immediately upon completion of the jobs. Finally, the speaker makes his way to the podium, and the crowd quickly gathers again. Drawing in a deep breath, Jhin lets loose. One bullet, one man dead.

On to the next he went.

Picking up two semi-automatic rifles, his next target was a mob boss. His location would be, in all places, a bathhouse. Shaking his head, Jhin moved as quickly as he could while being discreet. Just as he was about to step into the bathhouse and unleash a hail of bullets, he gets a phone call. He answers. On the other end was his mother. She said a few words to him, but was cut off. A man with a familiar voice came on the phone.

"Times up bud"

Thats all that was said and the phone went dead. Panicking, Jhin turned, and was about to take off running. However, he was met with everyone that was in that bathhouse, ready to ambush him.

Things are starting clear up for him now. Panic slowly turned into rage. One man approached him with a pistol. In his seething rage, Jhin barely turn to face the man and fired three rounds from one of his rifles. The man that approached him dropped dead. His head had three holes. One in each eye and one in the middle of his eyebrows. The rest of the men tried to swarm him, all 14 of them. Slinging on rifle over his shoulder, Jhin opened fire.

It was raining again. It seems to have become synonymous with death for Jhin.

When the first rifle ran out of bullets, Jhin did not even bother to reload. He threw it at a man trying to attack him so hard that the empty rifle staked the man to a telephone pole.

By the end, everyone near him was dead, including the mob boss he thought he had to kill...

Hellbent on revenge, Jhin took whatever money he had and started accruing gear.

His old friend was friend no more, but a debtee to him. He was going to hunt him down no matter where he is....

Hidden within the mountains is a temple. The temple houses a quiet storm. The storm has been brewing. Waiting. To be unleashed.

The school was created centuries ago by a collection of friends and master swordsmen. Rumor has it that the group had come from a different realm, that they were immortal. However, as time would have it, that was not the case. Indeed, they lived for what seemed like centuries, they eventually succumbed to the unrelenting turn of time's wheel. During their time alive, they walked the earth having no equals as swordsmen. They gathered talent, elevated their cultivation, and created skills unlike the world has even seen. Their symbol the majestic dragon in the sky, and their art was that of the sword. Swift, precise, and often arrogant, their ideals were passed down through a series of master, each meticulously selected and tested.

My Hider

An eccentric man. Those who do not know will say that he has gone insane in his pursuit of the ultimate sword. He often is seen smiling for no reason, laughing to himself. He obsessed of his sword, or any sword for that matter. His craft is such that he can tell the core metal of any bladed weapon upon first glance. He himself, however, does not usually carry a bladed weapon. He instead uses a cane, of his own creation. Do not let this fool you. He is as lethal with just his bare hands as anyone can be with any weapon. In fact, his 'insanity' can be attributed to the practice of Tiān Lóng Sì's ultimate sword technique, the liù mài shén jiàn, or the Six Meridians Sword. To be fair, one does not go insane when training for that technique. He just happened to have undergone some dramatic transformation in his pursuit. His hair was once obsidian black, but is now a blue silver. No one truly knows his age, or how long it took him to ascend to his current statues. All that is known is that he can kill without sound, and is often drunk...

• Běi Míng Shéngōng (北冥神功/"Northern Abyss")
  -An inner skill that can only be learned once master level has been attained. This skill draws energy from the natural world and converts it to be utilized by the user to fortify their own inner strength.
• Língbō Wēi Bù (凌波微步/"Wave Steps")
  -A movement skill that can only be attained once one has learned the Northern Abyss. Based on the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching, the user moves in a manner that is in accordance to the hexagrams. There is said to have no need to concern oneself with the movement of the enemy. If this skill is executed perfectly, the movement is so unpredictable that the user can hardly be touched.
• Shén Dāo Zhǎn (神刀斬/"Heaven Splitter")
  -A very simple technique that still requires a very high inner cultivation. In this technique, there are no wasted motion of energy expenditure. One swing, and the highest damage potential of their bladed weapon is shown. Simple, effective, and highly destructive.
• Dú Gū Jiǔ Jiàn (獨孤九劍/"Nine Swords of Desolation")
  -Though it sounds like a skill of utmost destructiveness, this is actually one of defense. In this skill, one learns how to react and counter weapons such as swords, blades, whips, spears, or even fists.
• Luóhàn Dāofǎ (羅漢刀法/"Blades of Arhat")
  -A rather simple skill that is often learned very early on. The biggest benefit of this skill is that it seemingly multiplies one's inner cultivation and amplifies damage output.
• Tóng Guī Jiànfǎ (同歸劍法/"Swords of Oblivion")
  -A skill of utmost power. The master of this school learns this as one of their last skills as it is intended to be used to taken the enemy or enemies down with themselves. A sword art of pure offensive capabilities, utilization of this skill not only obliterates the enemy, but the inner cultivation of the user as well, rendering them essentially useless after.

Brief History: The Durans have long been know and commissioned as stone masons. Their history tracks back to antiquity. Some of the world's most well known structures has had the 'Duran Touch'. Their fortunes were amassed that way. The last 5 generations had settled in the American West, in the Rocky Mountains where there is an abundance material for them to work and play with. Their family, however, traces their ancestry back to the cradle of Civilization itself, thus explaining the odd name for an American. They also still worship some of the older gods, hence his name.

During the war, his family built tunnels and caves underground. Bringing whatever they could, they left most of the worldly possessions behind, and vanished as best they could. This led to Ramses being born into relative anonymity. His family continued to work as much as they could as architects and builders when the war ended, but projects were tough to come by. Whatever funds and resources they kept with them through the war was quickly depleted and their lifestyle turned more and more meager. Ramses grew up in a three bedroom home that they built themselves, receiving education from his mother and generally staying out of the public eye. However, with his family still remembering the old days, modern sensibilities are not lost on him.

Being sent to Marchand, his family sees it as a way from him to get in touch with the world, and maybe grow up to be his own person...

Description: He dresses for comfort. Brands don't matter. As long as the pieces are deemed comfortable by him, he will wear it. Other habits include keeping his hair semi long, in the sense that it is cut short but is kept in a messy manner. Wears glasses, not the lens-less kind. He needs them, but not as much as one might assume. Overall, just your typical teenager.

Personality: In short, he is a sassafras. Intelligent, he will have some sort of witty comeback for just about anything. Underneath this rather irritating exterior, he is quite caring. Despite her primary magic being the control of fire, he is quite calm and collected. He will avoid confrontation before engaging. A lover, not a fighter, in the truest sense of the word. If one was to examine his family history and his upbringing, they would very quickly conclude that he is one of those 'born with a silver spoon up their ass' types. However, he really is not. He is genuine, most of the time, and rather easy to approach.

Brief History: XiaoBao was born approximately 16 years ago in Taiwan. His parents, both descendants of pure-blood magical families, met at a secret social gathering for the magically attuned. The heads of their house knew of each other and what they stood for, and immediately gave their blessing on the budding relationship.

On his mother's side, the family had a very successful business. When his mother and father married, it was discovered that, though he seemed every bit a 'Jack-Of-All-Trades' type, his father actually was very entrepreneurial and had a knack for running a good business. Under the leadership of his mother and father, the family business thrived, paving the way of the lifestyle XiaoBao and his family grew accustomed to.

Two years after he was born, XiaoBao's parents had a daughter. Currently 14, she has not displayed any sort of magical abilities, leading his parents to wonder if she has no magical abilities...

Growing up, XiaoBao was never wanting. He simply had to ask, and he received. However, that is not to say his parents gave him everything he wanted without first validating the need or merit in XiaoBao receiving what he is asking for. For example, for some reason when he was eight, XiaoBao wanted a vintage watch to wear. These are valued in similar fashion to collector's cars. XiaoBao asked for a vintage Radiomir Panerai, one of the more expensive vintage watches in the market, if one can even have one imported from Europe. His parents agreed, on the condition of him doing whatever chore they asked of him, without recourse, for six months. When six months came and gone, and Xiaobao fulfilled his part of the bargain, a pristine Panerai watch showed up in his room one afternoon and it was his to keep and care for. Until this day, XiaoBao still has the watch, although he does not wear it anymore.

Being exposed to magic even before he was born, XiaoBao became naturally good at any lesson his parents taught him. The most basics of them all, he can handle. The rest, his parents decided, he was going to learn them from a proper professor, in a proper school.

#55 Guo Sen Sa (Five Flashing Lock)
-The caster overlaps their palms, facing them towards their intended target. Five orbs of green light is generated on the inside of wrists, the ankles, and the center of the target's chest, sealing most major reiatsu vents and limiting the use of of their reiryoku lest they are willing to immolate from the inside out because of it.

(Needs at least Expert-class Kido user)

#90 Danku-Kai (Modified Splitting Void)
-With the same motion as casting Bakudo #81 Danku, the caster actually creates a malleable form of the original spell. Depending on the user's proficiency with the spell, the user can cover their entire body with what is essentially a Bakudo #81, cover a specific area with a specific shape, or partially cover areas.

-With the index and middle finger of either hand, the user draws a circle in the sky, summon several thick black chains. The chains are seared into the body of the target, binding them to the nearest solid surface. The chains and the surface are then essentially melted together, causing the target to be bound to the surface completely.

-Enhanced version of Hado #42 Okasen. The arc is wider and has a possibility to branch out depending on user skill level.

-- Expert-class Kido users can create up to two extra branches for a total of three, albeit with great strain
-- Master-class Kido users have a hard cap of five extra branches for a total of six, though the branches have the strength of the original Hado #32

-A beam of frozen reiryoku is summoned from the palm of the user. Any target contacted by the beam has their reiatsu frozen from the inside out, essentially killing their powers.

Custom Bakudo:

#55 Guo Sen Sa (Five Flashing Lock)
-The caster overlaps their palms, facing them towards their intended target. Five orbs of green light is generated on the inside of wrists, the ankles, and the center of the target's chest, sealing most major reiatsu vents and limiting the use of of their reiryoku lest they are willing to immolate from the inside out because of it.

(Needs at least Expert-class Kido user)

#90 Danku-Kai (Modified Splitting Void)
-With the same motion as casting Bakudo #81 Danku, the caster actually creates a malleable form of the original spell. Depending on the user's proficiency with the spell, the user can cover their entire body with what is essentially a Bakudo #81, cover a specific area with a specific shape, or partially cover areas.

#?? Kurosajo Kafumetsu (Black Chain Fire Sealing Destruction)
-With the index and middle finger of either hand, the user draws a circle in the sky, summon several thick black chains. The chains are seared into the body of the target, binding them to the nearest solid surface. The chains and the surface are then essentially melted together, causing the target to be bound to the surface completely.

(Forbidden sealing kido, only very very few Master-class Kido users would even know this spell exists)

Custom Hado:

#7 Shiden (Purple Lightning)
-An empowered version of Hado #4 Byakurai. The lightning travel faster and further.

(Simple spell, no specific restrictions)

#41 Shakkarenho (Red Fire Repeating Cannon)
-Modified version of Hado #31 Shakkaho. Depending on user capabilities, the user can fire multiple shakkaho's with one cast of this spell.
-- Proficient Kido users can fire up to three blasts, albeit with decreasing power and increasing strain
-- Expert-class Kido users can fire up to five blasts, with the last two blasts being as strong as the original Hado #31
-- Master-class and above have a hard limit of 10 blasts, with the last three blasts being as strong as the original Hado #31

#42 Okadaisen (Yellow Fire Great Flash)
-Enhanced version of Hado #42 Okasen. The arc is wider and has a possibility to branch out depending on user skill level.
-- Proficient Kido users only creates a wider arc, no branches.
-- Expert-class Kido users can create up to two extra branches for a total of three, albeit with great strain
-- Master-class Kido users have a hard cap of five extra branches for a total of six, though the branches have the strength of the original Hado #32

#?? Hyappo Daigarin Hyotenbaku (Hundred Steps Grand Wheel Frozen Heaven Blast)
-A beam of frozen reiryoku is summoned from the palm of the user. Any target contacted by the beam has their reiatsu frozen from the inside out, essentially killing their powers.

(Forbidden Hado spell. Very very few Master-class Kido users would even know this spell exists. Possibly require a sacrifice to successfully cast.)

Description: Quite short, only about five feet tall. Dark hair, olive skin. Dark, brown eyes. Strong facile features. His build is muscular, and stocky. Imagine a lumberjack, but only five feet tall.

Personality:Generally outgoing, mostly upbeat. Fiercely loyal to those he considers his friends. Would rather shy away from action but will not hesitate to act if he sees harm coming his friend's way.

Crush: Too new to have one currently


Skills: Expert builder, can create spectacular structures. Combined with his secondaries, he makes for an excellent companion to go on adventures with.

Weaknesses: Far too docile, despite being a manipulator of rock and stone.


Brief History: The Durans have long been know and commissioned as stone masons. Their history tracks back to antiquity. Some of the world's most well known structures has had the 'Duran Touch'. Their fortunes were amassed that way. The last 5 generations had settled in the American West, in the Rocky Mountains where there is an abundance material for them to work and play with. Their family, however, traces their ancestry back to the cradle of Civilization itself, thus explaining the odd name for an American. They also still worship some of the older gods, hence his name.

During the war, his family built tunnels and caves underground. Bringing whatever they could, they left most of the worldly possessions behind, and vanished as best they could. This led to Ramses being born into relative anonymity. His family continued to work as much as they could as architects and builders when the war ended, but projects were tough to come by. Whatever funds and resources they kept with them through the war was quickly depleted and their lifestyle turned more and more meager. Ramses grew up in a three bedroom home that they built themselves, receiving education from his mother and generally staying out of the public eye. However, with his family still remembering the old days, modern sensibilities are not lost on him.

Being sent to Marchand, his family sees it as a way from him to get in touch with the world, and maybe grow up to be his own person...
