Bio

Hi! I’m Mac!
…or Dmitri… or Die… or Slick… or Clover… or Trace…

…Obviously, none of these is my real name, (and by now you might have an inkling of an idea as to which fandom I came from before) so I don’t really mind being called using any of the names aforementioned above or by my character’s name when we talk in OOC. However, don’t mistake me or my character as the same entity. As I’ve said before “IC =/= OOC”

IRL, I am a 21 year old attending college as a 4th year an extendee Bachelor of Arts and Communication Student. I major in Speech Communication and minor in Broadcasting (journalism). Oh and I’m not a native English speaker so I might not catch some references, idioms, or metaphors. I will most likely ask you OOC for clarifications on some things because I sometimes misunderstand definitions despite being supposedly fluent in English.

Anyway, I’d like to think that I’m a fairly carefree person. It means that I’ll let us get away with doing a lot of shit (we’ll probably do a lot of crazy shit tbh), and my friends say that I’m pretty friendly too so I guess we can take their word for it. But, as all humans are bound to be, I do have my limits. With that, I wouldn’t say “tread lightly” with me. But I will say “let’s be decent” at least. Soo... Let’s just see where it goes, yeah?

Okay. Now for credibility.

I have been roleplaying on and off for... 5 or 6-ish years now. I used to roleplay in tumblr(dot)com for a couple of years before stopping for half a year, and then it became an on and off thing that ended up with me missing out on a lot of things IC and IRL. It became a nuisance and a source of frustration for me since I couldn’t keep up with my character’s life and my own life so I had to stop. I just didn’t have enough time to play as my characters (plural) on a regular basis while also balancing my social and college life so I had to stop doing it , kinda. So here I am, trying to get back at the swing of things since I would like to believe that I generally have my shit together now.

If you want to contact me, feel free to tag me in posts or send me a PM for more personal matters. But if you want to contact me regularly I suggest that you ask for my Discord account in private because I’m most often online there than here. Just don’t forget to introduce yourself and where we met though, okay?

So...... There we go. I felt like I’ve wanted to add something but I’m not quite sure what it was so let’s just awkwardly end this introduction here. I hope you have fun. Before you go, have my uwu face:

For Matija, Benny’s voice was thankfully not grating. Unfortunately, she could barely understand the guy because of his thick accent. ”Common for excited folks,” she thought to herself. By the looks of the guy, she seems right so far. This Benny fellow was talking about them taking the rear while using Jack and the robot as their meat shields. That was, until the Scotsman realized that there was no Jack to speak of and started getting restless, much like a child on a sugar rush. The Scotsman and Grayson were talking about Jack and the blind girl going missing. Matija looked around and realized that she never really saw them throughout the rest of the fight except for the first few couple minutes they were in here. She thinks she saw the two of them sneak somewhere, but she didn’t exactly pay attention to them until now.

”Maybe they snuck off somewhere to make out?” Matija asked with a shrug.

Anyway, Grayson was talking about them taking the filthy man with them and such. She grimaced, thankfully unseen from underneath her mask. She was also equally thankful that she can’t smell anything right now because she’s not sure if the guy’s only covered with oil or something else she wouldn’t even want to know about. "You numbskulled sons a'bitches are about to actually try and blow up a planet cracker bigger than an FT-68 variant. Hope your explosives are timed well, and your ship's fast, because if we're anywhere near that thing when it goes kablooey, I can guarantee that we'll all be turned into cosmic confetti... That being said, let's get rolling." said the grime covered man. Honestly, this was the only time that Matija realized how crazy their plan was, and it excited her further. This was the real do or die part of their mission and it was great because she was going to see some fireworks later on. She may or may not have let out a giggle out of giddy and she found herself moving more bouncily in happiness. However, she can’t let the dirty guy die. Not when they need him at least. She surveyed the area where they fucked up the federation soldiers to find a mask or something for the guy to keep him from suffocating in the vacuum, considering the gaping hole that they made earlier. All the while Benny spoke to her and everyone else. Once she salvaged a mask, she immediately came back to the group and handed the device to the new guy.

"-get ta' the reactor level I should be able to find the best spots to pop these explosive cherries to tear the station's laser shaft a new one. Then we run like bats outta Hell back the way we came. And if any o' you get left behind for some stupid bloody reason I ain't comin' ta' fetch ya’… Plan clear enough? Good, now let's get to it before these Federation bastards figure out our crazy-arse idea," said Benny.

”Sir?” she asked, raising her hand for a query whilst following formation. ”I understood most of it but could you speak in English? Alliance broke my helmet’s translator before and it’s hard to understand without it.”

apologies for the extremely late response
Matija was peering from the kitchen when Jack shot the shit out of the medical bot which sent Stryker running down to scream at them. ”Cute,” she thought, though wholly unnecessary since that floating cube could have saved one of their lives in the near future. But before she could walk away, Stryker gave finally gave them the order. ”…Now, everybody breathin, pile into shuttle 1. They gotta purge the air in shuttle 2 so Grayson can get his shot, and we don't have that many airtanks, so sorry if some of you are uneasy with your shuttle-mates, but that's all we can do. Good hunting guys.“ It seems that the fun is about to start, so she headed towards her room when the commotion died down a bit and suited up.

The crew had assembled in the cargo bay by the time the alarm rang. It made Matija more excited. They were finally about to leave this boring-ass ship and actually do SOMETHING other than waste away in the coldness of space. While they were heading in their own respective shuttles, something caught Matija’s eye. Is… Is that. Is that the alliance ZR-98 Heavy Sniper Rifle??? She asked herself, face visibly showing disgust. ”Ugliest and most redundant rifle ever. What the hell is about that thing, anyway? Gravitation field emitter? Good on locations with gravity, maybe, if you’re an amateur. But god, that thing is so redundant in space. What would a field emitter do in the vacuum anyway? Remove the already absent air resistance? Remove the friction that isn’t there? Shield the bullet from the gods? WHAT?! DID NO ONE STUDY PHYSICS WHEN THEY PROPOSED THIS?!” If anyone were to look, the distress and annoyance was very obvious in Matija’s face as she continuously debated to herself how useless that thing is in her eyes.

”So much for a smooth entry.” She was commenting on the fact that the facility did not accept their bullshit. Their shuttle lurched towards the open cargo bay which she used as a good reason as any to put on her suit’s helmet, and off they went to bask in the carnage. Personally, she preferred being near the medic as one, his guard, and two, for her own safety. Still, they tried to push through the expanse of the robotic guards when she noticed that Lataniva was heading towards the direction that the miners went to. She briefly got reminded of the thought of children on board where she secretly hoped that there really were no children aboard regardless of how convoluted that possibility may be. Matija chose to remain in the cargo bay with the others to whittle down these annoying bots, however. It would be best to lessen the possibility of being flanked by the enemies, especially when they push forward later.

"Boomer here. I sent a virus to tha' two drones in the back o' their lines. Try not to shoot them for the next 48 seconds so they can kill some o' their friends until the virus wears off." She instinctively nodded at this as she riddles the nearest bot with bullets on its head, and so on.

"Almost done with the welcome party," affirmed Grayson before he cleared out the stragglers in the room. Matija was still a bit on edge. She got a little careless by the end of it and almost got hit on the face by a passing beam from the bots. She wished that person was here to keep her rooted, since that wouldn’t have happened if that person was around. Their two superiors talked about splitting up in opposite directions. She doesn’t mind that. It would make it easier for all of them. There was an odd noise somewhere, though. She wasn’t exactly sure where it was coming from and what it was saying. All she knew was that there something making noise. She ignored it for now, thinking that it may be some person asking Lataniva or something for mercy. Hell if she knew. Then, Grayson shouted about Federation troopers. Jumping back into cover, Matija saw the Russian guy’s body on the ground and grinned. He would be her excuse to get close and personal.

With caution thrown out of the window, Matija holstered one of her pistols and pulled out one of her tanto swords. She opted to sneak around a bit to try and get behind enemy lines. Get a few slashes and stabs as she tries to get behind enemy lines. She was able to down a few of them before she could get on a good angle for the most of them where she would shoot and take potshots every now and then on. This allowed her to become a little more useful to their mission, even if she did almost get hit so many times already. Thankfully, the rush of adrenaline in her veins made it easier for her to shrug off the shock that would otherwise affect her functions if she were someone else.

As the dead bodies increased, so did the calm in the room. She didn’t see who killed the last Fed guy, but a tense moment of silence filled the room before someone confirmed that all hostiles were eliminated. It was then that Grayson moved towards the source of the banging earlier and saw… a man or something? He seemed equally relieved as he was tense, and also very very pissed. That was disregarding the fact that he was filthy. Matija made a face under her helmet, not that anyone could see, about the man’s state.

Someone tried the door, but it was expectedly locked regardless of how much they tried to force it open. That’s reinforced steel and locks for you. She shrugged at it, thinking that it wasn’t her problem, and moved out to wait on orders from the bomb guy so she’ll know what to do. She wasn’t exactly an expert on explosives after all.

i've managed to post something after so long. finally.
Matija had finally felt fresh and clean. No more of that sticky and disgusting feeling. Now, she felt more alive than earlier. With that, she grabs most of her rappelling gear and headed straight to the cargo bay, one of the largest area in the ship, and started practicing flips, runs, and walks with her gear. After asking for permission to anyone around there of course.

Hours later, she, along with the others, had been ordered to the war room – a command that she couldn’t help but roll her eyes to but had to abide to, for now. She sluggishly headed up with her equipment in tow while tugging on to the belts on her body out of habit. In the war room, Stryker said something about detouring for another member before continuing the briefing. The parts where she was not required bored her, but she tried to listen in anyway until the hologram of the mining station appeared in front of them.

”Typical,” she said to herself while studying the hologram in front of her, until they talked about something called the “Planet cracker.” She focused her attention to the hologram, and half to their plan. ”…you engage immediately and leave no survivors.” Matija’s interest was finally piqued, and that interesting bit of info helped her retain attention throughout the briefing. She only reverted her attention somewhere else when the ship jolted when they docked in wherever they are right now and then immediately left a little after.

”So where were we? Oh yeah questions.”

The siren furrowed her brow, wondering where she might get assigned to. She vaguely remembers something about a strike team or something. Since the Planet Cracker did not exactly fit her fancy, she thought that maybe she could just go and kill people or something.

"Question. I may not be going on this mission and doing the dirty work, but does 'no survivors' extend to kids? I don't mean to sound like a pansy, but they ARE kids after all." She looked at Tibilus and thought of the same thing. But then again, why would someone bring children to a seemingly abandoned mining ship. She thought, ”These bastards can’t fully control me anyway so if there are some stupid kids there, I guess I can just shove them in the lockers or something. As always, Lataniva spoke with morbid detachment that made her smile out of amusement. She supposes that the slender woman would not get to where they are right now if she was soft or stupid. Still, she prefers to somewhat save the kids that she comes across, regardless of how slim that chance may be. But then the Blind girl ran out and she couldn’t help but think if she really was that squeamish, considering how clean she seemed in comparison to everyone else. Matija couldn’t help but subtly hiss out ”pathetic” in between her teeth in slight disgust.

”Soo... Captain. Which team do ya' need me and Skelly for?”

”Oh right,” she said to herself as she perked up again and raised her hand enthusiastically. ”I wanna be in the strike team!” she chimed excitedly until her request has been acknowledged.

"Alright, everyone dismissed… Get your gear in order and be ready to move when we hit the system. Anyone who needs an ammo top-up, see Grayson in the Armory…. Be ready to move," said Stryker to everyone before leaving them to their own devices. ”Aye-aye, captain!” said Matija with a salute as she eyed the man out and headed towards one of the terminals a little after. It was amusing to see Lataniva struggle, too. ”Guess she doesn’t go out often,” the siren smiles to herself while Lataniva and that one guy helps her out. She too, tries to butt in to help whenever she could, but she found herself rarely needed since that weird guy was more than capable with customer support.

"What's you're name?" she said, as she stared up at the man. "Wait. Don't answer that. You're pretty handsome and you look like a Jack to me." With a moment of contemplation, she beams at the man and chuckles "You're Jack now, 'kay?"

When they were done, Matija went through the catalog and placed an order for one box of 7.62 gauss bullets and two boxes of 45s.

@Crossfire i just realized that i have yet to respond to this. but yeah, Matija is in one of the storage rooms. Took some stuff from the other rooms to make herself cozy so some rooms may not have pillow/s, blanket/s, mattresses, etc.
”Stories tell, of a tyrant of Dalentian past. He held the power to overwrite the purpose of an individual’s existence with but a single touch, make them his eternal servants…” Lataniva spoke of some kind of mysterious God-like person of their kind and explained just how their abilities generally worked. Matija listened to her as she leaned back on the war room’s table with crossed arms. She was no psionic but the matters of the mind intrigued her so the other woman was somewhat of an interest to her at the moment.

”So your guy is like- uh- space Hitler? For us at least. Sounds like living in his time sucked. Glad that we’re past the whole ‘your brain is belong to us’ phase. God.” Matija shook her head. ”But as this one guy said to me ‘Ja. You lose the muscles that you don’t use so don’t forget to use your head!’” she said, in a manner that almost mocked someone that wasn’t quite there.

”Aaannywaaay… wanna try and find the bathroom with me or something? I didn’t really pay attention to the orientation earlier and I’m dying to feel water on my skin,” said the siren as she rubbed her palms together only to feel disgust at the dryness of her skin. Then, the door hissed open, instinctively calling her attention.

There was a man. An augmented man. He just nodded at them an briskly left the room without a word. ”odd…” she thought to herself. ”He looked like he just came in to his parents room and saw them… well… at least he seemed handsome. Ish.” Matija giggled to herself before following Lataniva out in search of the washrooms that she had been longing for.
