Bio

A quick introduction of myself and a few associates of mine

For real though, I'm a Brit who dabbles in most genres of roleplay, but tends to go for fantasy and sci-fi in particular. I prefer high casual, but will use a more or less advanced writing style if I like the concept.

It seems like you guys are kinda already a long way into this, but I'm willing to provide help if you still want it. As for plot, my best idea is:
-A dystopian fantasy world in which the haves and have-nots are determined by magical abilities. The sorcerers (or wizards, or warlocks or whatever) rule through might, while the non-magical eke out an existence performing the basic labour that a nation relies on. A guerrilla resistance force is built (including those without magic, as well as one or two sympathisers from the elite) in order to break the rule of the corrupt government.
Mercury. The shining star of the slum districts, strictly shadowrunners only, unless you have business with one of the guests. Simultaneously a nightclub, a black-market haven and the perfect location to meet a Mr. Johnson, that's hardly surprising. Factor in the total lack of law enforcement in the area (one of Mercury's primary selling points) and you'll start wondering whether the megacorps got wiped out in the five minutes since you arrived.

A tall, blonde elf woman gets out of a sleek black car. Everything about screams "corp" from her clothes to the way she speaks. Amongst an army of the worst of Japan's criminals, she looks completely out of place.
She reaches the entrance, clearly aware of the dozen or more glares she recieves on her way. A troll waits for her at the entrance. A bouncer. "Name?" He asks impatiently.
"Oh, erm-" She stutters. Nothing the bouncer hasn't seen before. Typical of first-timers. "Mr. Johnson".
"Real name?"
Of course, she'd made another mistake, she thought. There could easily be half a dozen other Johnsons here tonight, and the bouncer couldn't be expected to let everyone who calls themself a Johnson in. Business only, after all, unless you're a shadowrunner. "Moryama. Moryama Jun. Meeting Boom."
Eyebrows are raised at that one. It's obvious who, generally speaking, she is, but no one knows or cares specifically who until now. Rumours of a big job had spread through the street fast, but who had nabbed it had followed almost immediately. A dwarf named Boom.
"You've got table 14, in one of the soundproofed rooms. Door in the left corner, by the bar. Runner's not turned up yet, but I know him. I doubt you'll be waiting long."
For the first time that night, Moryama Jun smiles.
@Duthguy Yes
@Duthguy It isn't made clear in the rulebook (as far as I'm aware). Logically they probably wouldn't have room for vehicle weapons, but most handheld guns would have room. Basically any non-vehicle guns other than the assualt cannon could be used on a drone, unless anyone can find a specified ruling elsewhere in the book.
@Duthguy Other possessions
@Duthguy Fixed. Goddamit, I hate it when I get things wrong.
Name: Nomad
Age: A couple of hours (or trillions of years, depending on how you look at it)
Appearence
Race: Akhir
Sex: Genderless, but for most purposes male (his apppearence is male and male pronouns are used for him)
Personality: Nomad loves sharp suits. He has an obsession. He is intelligent, but detached - he thinks in the long term, and sees life mathematically, as a resource rather than as a necessity. In other words, during a battle he'd be willing to lose thousands if it meant an overall victory in the long run. He has very little empathy, unless the person he is empathising with has an obsession with shapr suits. Did I mention he likes sharp suits?
How he got here: The Akhir are a race of god-like creatures that control the fate of the universe. They are immensely good at micro-management, as you might expect. Nomad got bored. That was literally it. He removed all his memories except a new name for himself, built a body and dropped himself into cargo hold D. He had the power and capabilities that most people would sell their soul for, and he abandoned it practically on a whim. So far, he hasn't really got a job, but once the rest of the crew find him he'll come up with something.
Example CS:
@OllumhammersongI don't like some of the changes they made in 4e, which they carried on into 5e. Plus, what first got me into it was a Youtube rp in 1e. It was easier for me to learn the game with more similar mechanics to the original, because that was basically my first understandng of it.
@ZachChase
Hey, I'm also a person. I'm also a huge nerd to be specific, I've role played for a few weeks now... and was just interested in checking out the same community. I also like video game based role play... but non-specific cyberpunk and high fantasy is also up my alley as well!~

This is my first time introducing someone to the site.
