Powers and Weaknesses: Velvet can alter her physical strength, using nothing but her own musculature to lift up to 5 metric tons easily, jump several stories, or pull freight ships. Her manipulation of her own muscle strength can also allow her to lower her strength to normal levels to avoid crushing anything in her hold. Her use of this power, however, resulted in her diaphragm unintentionally damaging her lungs. She has incredibly low endurance and breathing problems, meaning that she cannot run for very long or spend long amounts of time lifting extremely heavy objects. Her voice is raspy, and she does not do well in smoke.

Physical Description: Velvet is 5’11’’ and enjoys being taller than most women, liking to wear heels to make herself even taller. She has long, curly black hair that she prefers to leave down, and bright sapphire eyes that compliments her hair color. She has a soft, feminine face and a lean body, betraying the look of a girly woman.

Day-to-day Wardrobe: Black. So much black. Black dresses, black shirts, black pants, black shorts, black skirts, black shoes, you name it and Velvet probably has it in black.

Personality: Velvet is playful and mischievous, enjoying puns and harmless pranks on friends. She is nervous around strangers, though, and can have problems with anxiety having to hide her power. Those that know she is a super are few and far between, and Velvet likes to keep it that way.

Skills/Talents:
• Boxing: Velvet boxes for fun and to keep her endurance up. She has studied how to box and is extremely good at it, including kickboxing techniques.

• Flexibility: Velvet enjoys yoga in her spare time, relaxing and increasing her flexibility at the same time. She can be very flexible and dexterous at times.

• Super Strength: Velvet's superpower allows her to lift up to 2 tons in each arm, and 5 when using both arms, with the ease of lifting a small object. She can push and pull massive objects, lift cars, and use her extremely strong legs to leap up small buildings or across small gaps. Her muscles do not visibly change, merely their strength. Her limit for her powers is about 15 tons being lifted, or on things she cannot properly grip.

Weaknesses:
• Bad Lungs: Velvet has problems with her breathing, and cannot run long distances. She also has difficulty using her power for more than her limit, trying to lift more than she should. Anything that would make a normal person out of breath causes her to wheeze and need rest.

• Anti-Government: Velvet is anti-government, annoyed at having to hide her powers or face extreme oppression and lack of privacy. As such, she is incredibly wary of government officials and tries to avoid police officers at all costs.

• Inappropriate: Velvet dislikes being serious, and can make jokes at inappropriate times, often making those who take things seriously dislike her or find her annoying.

Likes: Red velvet cake, anime, boxing

Dislikes: Pie, anti-supers, nosey people, overly-serious people

Goals: To make a difference, and to save others like herself who are in danger or oppressed.

Fears: Velvet fears that her lung problems may get worse with more use of her power, and that it may stop her from reaching her goals altogether. She is also terrified of insects.

Family: A single mother in Ohio, but no other known family.

Education: Velvet did well in high school and is majoring in General Studies at her local university.

Nyte looked to the card in silence, the ruined house suddenly as silent as the forest around it. She waited a moment, then quietly nodded at Sunny's statement. Something was indeed at work here, and perhaps... Perhaps Nyte was meant to be a part of it, too. She glanced up at the extended hand, and to the smiling vagrant holding it out to her. Someone she'd met mere minutes earlier, and yet...

She took the hand and stood weightlessly, almost lifting herself up off of the lopsided, partially destroyed floor. "And you will be my captain," She replied easily, watching the two for a moment.

As she looked between the smiling young woman and the cautious child, she felt something she had not felt in a very long time. Silently looking out the window of the house and to the forest, she watched a violet flower petal flutter onto the windowsill. She clenched her fists and nodded to herself, and moved to gather up everything she could find, sneakily stuffing blankets, clothes, and cans of food inside her armor for later use.

After finally getting everything together, Nyte stood at the edge of the porch and watched the fog finally fade completely, life seeming to return as the sun rose higher and higher into the sky. It would be a long adventure ahead of her, she could tell, but with her sword, a sword she had been using for many years, matching the child's cards, perhaps... just maybe, she was destined to follow them, to become a legend greater than any other...

She followed her two new companions, friends, quickly, happy to help with whatever came their way in the future.
