"What Marshadow did was attempt to murder a poacher using the full force of Christa's weight," Shiranui answered, emphasising Chuck being a vessel, "Elisa was able to prevent Liam and me from going berserk ourselves in our attempts to snap you back into a lucid state of mind. We can help you deal with Marshadow if you need it."

Shiranui moved to the side Liam's good ear was on and suggested to him, "We should return to the Pokémon Centre before we take on the Ice trial."

Shiranui opened his Pokédex and showed Chuck the entry on Marshadow.

"Chuck, you feeling alright?" Shiranui asked out of concern for his friend. He noticed Marshadow withdrawing into Chuck's shadow before he got buried in a Vulpix and Ninetales pile. Yuugou, Nayamashii and Ashika returned to Shiranui and Shiranui apologised to them. Yuugou used their psychic powers to convey a feeling of understanding as the Metagross knew Shiranui was trying to stop his friend from doing something reckless. Nayamashii and Ashika nodded in agreement and Shiranui felt better after getting that out of his system.

Zoro was busy helping Elisa out where he could and was currently part of the pile surrounding Chuck.

"Probably used a disguise, kept a low profile and flew here like everyone else," Shiranui speculated, knowing very well about keeping a low profile due to being a ninja, "Besides, that phone's data can still be salvageable and I'll have the means to test that hypothesis once we get back to the Pokémon Centre."

"Same here," Shiranui agreed. He felt like he owed Ashika, Yuugou, Nayamashii and Elisa an apology for his part of the escalated battle and made a note to talk with Saisei as soon as the Mewtwo was back in his party. An idea struck him. "Perhaps Elisa can use Heal Bell to wake him up," he proposed.

Shiranui heard the collapse and when he looked over at Chuck, he saw Marshadow. He pulled out his Pokédex and scanned it. "Marshadow, the Gloomdweller Pokémon. It slips into the shadows of others and mimics their powers and movements. As it improves, it becomes stronger than those it’s imitating."
"Could this Marshadow explain Chuck going berserk?" he wondered.

Shiranui felt nauseous at the sight of the frozen hand. "Oh they did, did they?" he asked rhetorically before addressing the poacher, "If the black market got wind of your syndicate becoming Vulpix and Ninetales chow, you would be lucky if you got any money from your venture at all." He pulled out his smartphone and placed a call to the nearest Officer Jenny, informing her of poachers on Mt. Lanakila. He told her that all of them were dead bar one.

"But first," Shiranui added, "Where's the rest of your syndicate and why murder these Vulpix and Ninetales?" Zoro growled menacingly at the perpetrator while Nayamashii cremated the Vulpix corpses.
