"Yeah, why?" asked Shiranui, wondering if the name was familiar to Chuck.
"Thanks," Liam said. "So, I guess we now need to find the Kahuna."
"I believe so," Shiranui agreed, unsure if there were any trials on Ula'ula Island they were yet to do, "Regarding the Kahuna; from what I've been hearing, getting Nanu to accept a challenge appears to be easier said than done. My research about him states that he was Looker's old supervisor when he was part of the International Police."
Shiranui congratulated Chuck and Jen before entering the trial site. A brief blizzard blew in before the totem Alolan Ninetales appeared. "I was hoping to face you," Shiranui commented, "Yuugou, I choose you!" He sent his Metagross out and the battle was on. "Yuugou, mega evolve and use Meteor Mash!" Shiranui activated the keystone on his Z-Power Ring and Yuugou glowed with a bright light before doubling their limbs and becoming a Mega Metagross. Yuugou charged at the totem and punched Ninetales with the force of a meteorite impact. The damage was enough to knock Ninetales out in one hit and the battle was won.
Shiranui used a Revive and sprayed a Hyper Potion on the totem and Ninetales gave Shiranui a smile of gratitude. An Alolan Vulpix popped out of the snow and gave Shiranui the Icium Z crystal. Shiranui petted the Vulpix in return and after recalling a now-reverted Yuugou, made his way back to his friends.

Shiranui sent Renketsumoh out and directed the Porygon to analyse its memory chips. Renketsumoh disappeared into the shard that the phone's internal memory chip was located and started their analysis. "The analysis should be complete after we finish the Ice trial," stated Shiranui, noting to himself to evolve his Porygon after its task is complete.
