"I just got an update from Sherlock," Shiranui stated, explaining, "Jessie and James from Team Rocket have apparently joined forces with Liam and Chuck because their Meowth and a wild Pokémon friend of theirs got abducted by the poachers." He was puzzling over what wild Pokémon Team Rocket befriended that they would rescue, immediately dismissing Bewear as he didn't think the poachers were stupid enough to go after Bewear without a lot of preparation and contingency plans.

Shiranui was glad to hear how close they were getting all the while being careful to not step on any of the eggs. He felt two more minds get added to the mind link established by Sherlock and Azriel. "Whose minds just got added?" he asked the Alakazam over the mind link.
“Nice,” Jen says as she watch the Wingull got trap in one of the traps. Jen and her Pokémon walks away from the traps not wait for someone or Pokémon shows up.
Shiranui followed Jen, confident his traps would deter any of their pursuers after the Wingull incident. "Hopefully what we're after is not too much further," he said.
Shiranui also felt like he and Jen were being followed. He pulled out some tetsubishi caltrops and scattered them on the path behind. "Any followers will be in for a nasty surprise," he stated.
"Absolutely," Shiranui agreed, hoping they wouldn't have anymore tangles with poachers or the local wildlife.
Shiranui kept watch of the surroundings, promising to himself to thank Aura, Maui and Michiru for a job well done.
Shiranui had Ashika's Poké Ball at the ready in case Aura, Maui and Michiru's persuasions failed to work.

"Tsuchi, help the Exeggutor out with Earthquake!" Shiranui sent his Mudsdale out and with a stomp of his muddy hoof, Tsuchi caused the ground around the Exeggutor to shake. He hoped the tremors would help dislodge the Pinsir.
Shiranui also felt as if the Exeggutor distrusted them.
