Virgil wasn't exactly certain what the Junior-Commissar was yelling about, having gathered his information from his ex-PDF father and a number of other sources, and had assumed that it would be good to know ones enemy...but apparently voicing poignant information such as details of their xenos belief system was tantamount to some sort of heresy. It made no sense to the off-worlder, about as much sense as their speech patterns if the truth was told, so the freshly conscripted soldier decided to keep his mouth shut for the moment.

Instead of engaging his superior officer in a dialogue, he simply took of his hat and laid it across his knee, going back to polishing his rifle and making sure it was in the best order it could be. He had not forgotten about the short (well, short for Texanis folk) woman that had spoken to him before the Commissars tirade, but he decided to act as if he had anyway.

Let me tell you a little story, a story about an RP site I used to frequent; on that RP site there were also GMs and 'players', but the GM was mainly there to guide the players through the RP rather than shoving them along with a stick. The players were allowed to do most things, using their own initiative, as long as it made sense and wouldn't derail the RP. If they were curious as to whether it would, then they would ask the GM and he would tell them 'yes' or 'no'.

I then came to this site, and apparently this never happened and no-one was able to do something similar.

Let me ask then, what - assuming that I'm not going to post any time soon - would your next course of action be with your psyked up Orkoid?

Jiang Xue Wen, Autosavant and Martial Artist

NAME: Jiang Xue Wen

AGE: 53

GENDER: Male

PREVIOUS OCCUPATION: Imperial Autosavant

WARGEAR:
He carries on his person no real 'war' gear, taking with him a simple and unadorned staff of iron, and equipment pertinent to his occupation such as a wrist-mounted cogitator, a hip satchel full of quills and parchment and that's really about it. If he must then he will acquire himself a las-pistol or dagger of some form, but he isn't a warrior after all.

NOTABLE EVENTS:
Trained in the mountain monasteries of Yahui Primaris, a civilised planet known for its indigenous religious practises that include worshipping the God-Emperor as an all-knowing and enlightened being, the various cloisters specialise in taking young children and turning them into warrior-scholars capable not only of defending themselves but also of absorbing and regurgitating information with almost supernatural accuracy and recollection speed.

When one takes of of these pseudo-religious children and implants them with a subdermal cogitator, one that only increases the amount of information able to be stored and recollected, then truly they become a force of knowledge to be reckoned with.

The story of Jiang follows this path quite nicely; at the age of five he was taken from the streets of the planets capital as an orphaned child, the next three decades spent in training before he was 'gifted' his cogitator and allowed to proceed where soever he would in search of noesis and wisdom.

The three most notable events to ever take place in his life are the giving and implantation of his cogitator, an incident involving himself and twelve other men in which he became the only survivor (something which he never speaks of), and joining the retinue of an Emperor-blessed Inquisitor.

PERSONALITY:
Quiet and introspective, relaxed and calm (being very hard to actually rile up), obviously intelligent beyond the normal realms of an unaltered mind and capable of mental gymnastics that others cannot even comprehend. All-in-all he is a friendly, happy-go-lucky sort, a seeker of information and a curious soul to boot. Oddly enough though he is not much affected by violence or the prospect of conflict, although he will seek to avoid it if he can (the art of fighting without fighting...).

TIME WITH INQUISITOR
Pretty much only recently 'hired', his particular set of skills apparently of some use to the Inquisition and this Inquisitor in particular.

He's basically like Neo - insofar as he knows a load of stuff via computers and knows Kung Fu - but without the lack of emotion, stupid clothes, shades, or white ethnicity.
