Bio

Greetings,

I am Jb; Briton by birth, roleplayer by my own hand, and lover of literature. I am also an amateur historian, a receiver of a Bachelors degree in Ancient and Medieval History - quite a useless degree, actually - and would like to think that I'm a fair, honest and open guy.

As far as RP'ing goes, I'm pretty open to most things really, all you need to do is ask! :)

So, if you've ever any questions for me, wish to speak about RP's involving myself or run by myself, or simply feel like a chat, don't be afraid to get in touch.

I thought I could smell you somewhere...
@DrunkasaurusRex@Wraithblade6

Three musketeers it is then, until/when/if we get more folk.
Huh?
We aren't supposed to be actual captains of our respective vessels or armadas?
Are we all supposed to be subservient officers of your character?

We're all subservient characters to a higher officer, including my own character, the Captain likely to be an NPC - it does say one ship of a Corsair group; now that doesn't mean we won't be able to 'remedy' that with a bit of mutiny/Captain replacement, just means we all begin near the middle of the ranks. By the end, you could indeed be commanding your own flotilla.

Really interested to explore and worldbuild a barely worked-upon concept of the setting! I'd love to be an old and jaded druchii pirate lord who was fed up with what he saw as the life of idle gentry in Commoragh and set sail in search of excitement, true hardship, thrill and new experience that he wouldn't get from mere raiding and visiting the pleasure pits. An elven Rogue Trader, if the term can ever be applied.

Well, I'd be the Pirate Lord (or an NPC), but you'd be welcome to use a disgruntled Druchii. :)

Oh, and we don't say 'Rogue Trader', that's far too Mon-Keigh for this thread.
@Necroes Do you not think that's just a little too much?

If not...well...guess I'll just need to bring in the Grey Knights earlier than I wanted to. :(

@Necroes@BCTheEntity@Wraithblade6

Feel free to get on with it then, I'll post something up soon.
@Jbcool Good post. As far as Virgil's confusion goes, Guardsmen aren't enlisted to know stuff about their enemies, other than where to shoot them to kill them. I think that's true, anyway. I might be wrong. I'm pretty sure leniency in any form isn't something Commissars like risking, regardless. Dale sure doesn't. Ahohoho.

You're confusing the character with the player here. :)

I'M well aware of that, but Virgil is not, all he sees is some guy shouting at him for trying to provide information on a potential foe. As such he'll just keep quiet for now.

@Wraithblade6@DrunkasaurusRex

I do actually very much hate to do this, but I'm going to put this onto the back-burner for now; if I should return it, then your character will be accepted of course. I wouldn't worry overly though, give it a few weeks and I imagine we'll be back here again.

OR

We three can continue it.

Your choice, really.
I hold a very, very tenuous grip on that command btw. lol

You wanted command, you got it buster.

PPssssst...he's got a tenuous grip, guys!

Welcome to my interest thread for my latest (and final for quite some time) 40k RP!

The Eldar have always been a guilty pleasure of mine, both in the TT game and RP-wise, what with being pretty hard even to consider as player material - extensive lifespans, advanced equipment and much more making them almost never truly able to be RPed to a decent degree.

Nevertheless, if Gav Thorpe has taught me anything, it is that even apparently good writers can make them pretty two dimensional and with that in mind it must be possible to write them fairly well for just about anyone!

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, what am I trying to do here?

In short, I am trying to get together a group of Advanced Role-players to join me as the crew of a Corsair vessel in an as-of-yet-unnamed Corsair group/formation/flotilla etc. These are Eldar (or their dark cousins), usually on the younger side, that have chosen to leave their Craftworlds or simply to seek a life of pleasure and raiding beyond the confines of the multiple 'paths' usually associated and enforced by the Eldar (sorry...Aeldari) as a race/species. Thus they are less limited in terms of character development, scope for RPing and so forth I.E. A good choice for less restrained characters etc.

Knowledge about the Eldar would be a benefit, but we'll see if anyones even interested first.

So, interest or questions, please either ask me here or PM me.

I'll get another post up soon, but it does appear that @Wraithblade6 has indeed taken command - therefore you should probably follow him!

I'll answer Draksal's questions, then I'll get you moving.
