Sorry for just not being here the past few days. As soon as I get out of school I'll begin writing up a post.

Kuro Nishi

Name: Kuro Nishi Age: 21 Sex: Male Race: Human Weapon: Tegen Toppa is a giant drill attached to the right hand, capable of breaking through concrete with complete ease. This is due to both it's dust battery, and it's unique design (spikes added sparsely to the sides to break up remaining rock). If the battery dies, it can also be powered by constantly pumping the trigger you grip it with, like a pump flashlight. Kuro also holds many flashbangs, used to disorientate the enemy, on his belt. Specialty: Kuro is an assassin. First, one of his teammates distracts the opponent. If he does not have a teammate on hand to do that job, he uses a flashbang instead. Then, he gets around the opponent, frequently tunneling underground, as he can sense the vibrations of the ground better there. From under or behind the opponent, he strikes with his massive drill, dealing lots of damage. He then quickly escapes through the ground. This has numerous drawbacks. Firstly, some Grimm don't have eyes so if he doesn't have a teammate, he's screwed. Secondly, if he gets knocked into the air, or if the ground is to thick to break through, he loses a major movement option. Semblance: Pariter Stamus - In the presence of other beings with an aura, he 'bums off of' the energy from them. With every additional person on the field with Kuro he gets stronger, faster, and can sense better. This is done by taking the unusable spent energies of the aura, so as to not weaken his friends. Personality: Kuro prides himself on being calm in all situations. Though he is not the leader, and would not enjoy being one, he is most often the voice of reason. He is humble, denying most public praise and pushing it onto his teammates. He feels as if he doesn't deserve it, being blind. He depends on others a lot, and says that the best way to accomplish things is together. He is not particularly outgoing, but if others ask of his help, he will often help them, as he requests assistance from others too. His favorite food is fish, and he enjoys the smell and wind of the ocean, due to them being relatively new to him. Overall, he tries not to allow his blindness define him. Instead he tries to be a dependable friend whom you can always rely on, though he does need help occasionally. Color: Dim Grey [#696969] Emblem:

An exaggerated drill in his signature color. His father created the symbol. Bio: Kuro was born and raised in Vale to a very supportive father and mother who encouraged him to follow his dreams. His mother always read him stories of great hunters, and this motivated him to try and follow in their footsteps. Unfortunately, when he was young, he was quite short for his age, and got teased frequently. Still, he persevered and his superiors recognized his talent. Even though he was blind, he was still able to tell where his opponent was due to the vibrations in the ground, the volume of the sound, and the intensity of their smell. He was also an amazing speaker, able to quickly communicate and understand verbal ideas and tactics in the heat of battle. After getting accepted to Beacon, he was paired with 3 others. He frequently was mistreated by the group's leader, who thought Kuro was useless, until Kuro saved his life. Ever since than, the leader has treated every member of the team with respect. Now, the team is soon nearing graduation, and they're going to have to cooperate better than ever to get through. Appearance: Kuro stands at a small 162 centimeters, or about 5'4". He is gaunt and skinny, with shallow cheeks and a hard jawline. His eyes are a pale ghostly white, due to his blindness. He hates them though, and is always wearing black, triangular glasses. He also wears his signature black jacket, with his emblem emblazoned on the back of it. The jacket is almost always unzipped, revealing a oddly standard white tee-shirt. His pants are generic jeans, faded and dusty with scrapes and cuts due to being underground so often. His shoes are made of light materials, to facilitate his sensing. To summarize, he is small and light, helping him move around the battlefield unnoticed and quickly.

Armory, Period 4 Indi listened as Ivan described what he was doing. Yeah, that made sense. Doing weird semblance stuff to your weapon was bound to mess it up, especially if your semblance dealt with force. With that satisfying, surprisingly non-douchey response, Indi focused on the professor. The professor had so much energy, charisma, and command. The speech was rousing and reassuring. He didn't know much about engineering, one simple textbook was all he had to work with when creating Cia and Lana. He wasn't a savant or anything, he just made a real nice blade and two decent guns, but to him that was enough. At least, it was before. Now, he wanted to work hard and make something even better. Dust, that was where he was lacking. Cia and Lana didn't do much with it, he didn't even really use dust bullets. But here, he'd make more use of it. He allowed some other people to introduce themselves first, he wasn't a complete attention seeker, just mostly one. Moreover, he wanted to here the really hot chick's intro. To do that, he surprisingly listened to all the others, trying real hard not to miss her. The lion dude, Geni, said his piece, letting slip that he had a stint with the White Fang. Whoops. Even mentioning the White Fang as a faunus was risky business. Indi, personally, was fine with them. People listened to violence, why shy away from it? Besides, Faunus have been getting stomped on for awhile, it was time for them to be treated as equals. Indi looked over at Ivan to see him get pissed more. Jeez, Indi thought he was a hothead but all Ivan ever did was get mad. At least he made stupid pervy jokes in between the blind rage. Wait, was he pissed at Geni for mentioning the White Fang? That was... stupid. What the hell was wrong with Geni? He said used to, even if you have a problem with the WF he left them, why-? Indi was shaken from his thoughts as Ivan got up to introduce himself. Whatever, he'd get pissed at Ivan later. Ivan introduced himself in his typical narcissistic way, so Indi decided to follow in his footsteps and introduce himself as well. "Hey, I'm Indi. I like to kill stuff, and I'd like to think I make a good blade, though I guess I'm gonna find out if I actually do. I'm pretty sure I do, though." He said, taking a glance back up at Saph and that intimidating girl while sitting back down.

@Lugubrious Hey, I have a quick question. When referring to the Armory upgrade process, you say...

Buying an upgrade OOC does not instantly give that upgrade to the character; they must still visit the armory

Does that mean I can't have my character start building/upgrading the weapon in advance and just wait until I get the credits for him to finalize and start using it?

I've been on and off, but pretty much the last post I remember was something about the lunch belling being rang and that everyone is suppose to leave for the next class.

Alright, I'm going to have to update it a little since we've had posts since then, gimme a little time. Here's what I have now. The bell rings, and Abel decides to try and walk to next period with Oswald, to get to know him better. Team KPT are planning something. Ivan grabs his weapon and makes his way to Armory class. Oswald rambles about his past, and how Saph would have been a good person to have when fighting Grimm back then. EDIT: I should be giving this to you in PM's. I'll message you once I'm done.

Thank you, master. @Everyone, so at this point Contests Option B is all but passed. Since nobody has brought it up I assume that the shop values I outlined are okay. One final thing before I start out first contest: should we just have it in the OOC, or should I make a new thread solely for submissions?

That's a tricky question, but ultimately I think contests should be announced OOC, and submitted somewhere else. Things don't get cluttered, but people still only have to watch one thread for bonus stuff.
