A strange individual approached Vera. Had she known he's also approached Alex earlier, she'd have been far more suspicious, but at the time she'd been distracted by-

"Yes, I was very impressed by how far you flew," Vera murmured absentmindedly, more focused on the other individual who'd spoken to her. She had no idea who he was, and yet he knew about her and Wolf. Alex or not, this still got her quite suspicious of him. It wasn't like her relationship was a secret, but what was this guy speaking about them by name despite her not recognizing him at all?

"I"m sorry, do I know-" And then Suzakura continued his antics unimpeded, now harassing her new... acquaintance. The guy didn't take kindly to it, and even went so far as to defend her in the midst of his tirade. It might have earned him a point or two if him existing wasn't currently just making Vera's skin crawl.

She grit her teeth before hissing, "Hey help me out h-. . ." But as her view panned over to her friend... she was conked out again. "Fucking... dammit..."

It was about that moment that Suzakura was telekinetically ejected from the scene, leaving Vera's eyes open slightly wider. So he was strange and scary. Wonderful.

Finally it was back to just her and the stranger, who was now showing her a picture.

"Never seen her before," Vera said without hesitation, staring past the picture and at him. "So, Orpheuz, you gonna give me a hint about who you are beyond a name? Maybe explain why you're acting like you know me? Because dumbass there got it wrong. You're no Clausewitz student. That's not their uniform and I know all of Wolf's friends." They weren't hard to keep track of, seeing as how they pretty much didn't exist. She just glared at him suspiciously, one fingertip slipping its way inside her purse to stroke the shell of one of her "asshole deterrents."

I imagine the Lower Ring is like the shittier parts of a city like New York or Detroit or Chicago. The dingier parts of a big city, but still technically part of a civilized society... just in this case with some favela decor, lol.

I'd almost argue that 5 people, one for each element + no element is a little too on the nose, but... that doesn't fix the core issue. Things always seem to go wrong when I try to take charge, so I'm not gonna push anyone else to take on more responsibility than they're comfortable with. I'd offer to help but that leads us back to my prior sentence... XD

RPers are fickle people at times so adding more always means more potential wrenches to get thrown into things. :P

Lmao, it's an unusual day when I'm not playing 2-3 characters at a single time. Mind you, in this case, I'd definitely be sparing with a character like his mentor since, you know, doing otherwise kinda defeats the purpose of my "main" being a novice bender...

But good to know. Sounds like business as usual generally speaking. Now I wait impatiently for judgement day.

@Exit Hijacking El Dogo's question to ask: when the RP starts, who will be controlling these NPCs? I'd guess us, but I don't want to assume one way or the other and get too carried away with my devious plotting.

As an addendum to that, since this is the first RP I've been in with a mandatory NPC which makes me a little squirrely about the topic, can we have like minor "faceless" NPCs in our posts. For example, ya boi goes to work and I have his boss yell at him...?

Apologies if this is already actually explained somewhere and I missed it.

I personally appreciate the idea of an older character to shake things up! My unsolicited and next to weightless opinion is that so far his "who are you" section tells us a good bit about what he does and how he thinks, but yet not a terrible amount about who he actually is. Maybe wait for the actual GM to chime in before I accidentally steer you wrong, though... Just my initial impression.

Basically what I'm saying is that it reads like one of his soap box speeches that a person could go up to, but that person wouldn't really know much about the guy beyond that, and I'd imagine for CS purposes we might want to dig at least a little deeper.

Also, Exit, I realize in my boredom I've been getting very chatty. Feel free to tell me to shut up... >_>;

Suddenly, from no fire to lots of fire. I had to think for a minute, but I find the idea of an upper class character who isn't a "corpo" type quite intriguing. Instead, a sports celebrity. I really like the whole guilty pleasure angle with how they view bending as well. Not a rebel or sympathizer, but not a hardcore conformist either, and yet still (seemingly?) firmly in one camp over the other. She's got a nice amount of nuance from what I can see so far. Definitely a pleasant surprise I'd say.

Also it was getting a bit lopsided in the gender department... XD

Oooh, now the squad is filling out!

We got a potential badass, medic, and tech guy to go with my useless cinnamon roll! Just need to find a firebender. Also cool to note that we've got people to rep for every zone. All three rings and the outside!

Speaking of which, I made a few more tweaks and named the pet shop as well as giving ya boi some actual clothes. I hear nudity is still frowned on even after an extra 100 years.
