Raymond Wilson Jr.

Unlike the others Raymond had been on the island already and had actually been here for a few months. While the ferry was still nearing the island he was inside the labs with his father and Chickie. He was holding her in his hands to make sure she didn't get out of his sight while he was talking to his father. Well, it was actually just his father talking to him about the incident and how he had played a hand in it all. He felt ashamed by it and wished that all those people hadn't died for a mistake that he and the other geneticists had made. RJ wondered why his father decided to rejoin Jurassic World. Maybe he was trying to repent for those mistakes that caused many lives. Maybe he was going to try and make sure that they didn't go too far this time.

When they were notified that the ferry had arrived he looked to his father and said, "I'll be back. I'm just going to say hello to the others." He knew that some of the employees were returning and that others were new. They had a lot of positions that needed to be refilled and that was especially the case for the Security Division. He was in the Control Room when he saw the security's monitors flat-lining. That was the worst coffee delivery that he had ever experienced. He shuddered at the memory and walked off with Chickie still in his hands.

He headed outside and walked to where the ferry docked. He saw the others getting their things off and talking to each other. It was certainly an interesting group that had gathered. He recognized a few of them already. Owen was a trainer, Dr. White was a geneticist like his father, he recognized one of the interns but couldn't remember her name. They didn't work together much since her focus was mostly focused on the vet side of the park.

He looked up to the sky to see the dark clouds closing in on the island. A storm on the day of their arrival? That was an ominous sign if he ever saw one. He shook the thought from his mind and walked over to introduce himself. While most were still working on getting things off the boat a small group had gathered. He gave a smile and a nod to Dr. White and kept on walking until he got to Owen, Kelly, and Thomas.

When he reached them he said, "Hey, I'm Dr. Raymond Wilson Jr., but you can call me Ray or RJ or Raymond. No need for the honorific." While he said that Chicklet jumped out of his arms having been tired of not having her own space. She landed in front of him and scanned the others with her brown eyes.

Name: Chicklet or Chickie

Species: Velociraptor

Personality: Chickie is very hyper. She tends to have a lot of energy and doesn't want to stay in one place. Even when they were getting her adjusted to her new environment she continued to move around in the closed space. She always follows Raymond and since she's small and young they decided not to confine her to one of the habitats as long as Raymond keeps her under control. That is until she starts to grow larger and is sent to live with the others. She also tends to wander off if Ray isn't focused on her.

Backstory: Chicklet is one of the newly hatched Velociraptors. Once she was hatched she imprinted on Raymond and considers him to be her parent. She currently lives with him in his suite at the resort while he tries to train her.

Occupation: Dinosaur Researcher and Behavioral Specialist

Personality: Raymond is kind and naive sometimes. He's very trusting and that could be a problem for him. He could be almost easily tricked despite how smart he is. He also cares a lot for the animals and even cares about them as much as he cares about himself. He hates when they're not taken care of would argue down someone who would even think about treating them poorly or using them for their own personal gain. That's one of the rare times when you would see him angry. He's the type to fight for anything he believes in and fight to protect those that he cares about even if the odds are against him.

Skills/Abilities:

• Science: Raymond is a genius when it comes to science. He's studied in many different fields and despite his rather young age has a doctorate in Organismal Biology. He still plans to achieve more in many fields of science. He also has some experience in genetics having interned under his father before Jurassic World closed.
• Tracking: Due to working so closely with hunter animals he's picked up skills when it comes to tracking. He even spent some summers in the savannas of Africa.
• Animal Behavior: Due to working so closely with animals he's been able to understand most of their behavioral patterns and instincts.

Frailties: Lack of Athleticism: Raymond can lift carry things, but he's not really the athletic type. He was the bookworm growing up and wasn't the type to excel in gym class.

Backstory: Raymond grew up a science filled life. Ever since he was a little boy he always loved dinosaurs and science. His father was one of the original geneticists of Jurassic Park working for InGen. He worked alongside Dr. Henry Wu and escaped the Park during the storm evacuation. He continued working with Dr. Wu after the the deconstruction of Jurassic Park and even helped him create the first hybrid plant.

Raymond always looked up to his father and wanted to be almost like him when he grew up. He studied hard in school and was even able to skip a grade or two along the way. His father spent most of the time away on research, but they always kept in touch. Raymond majored in Biology when he got to College and while doing so worked part-time as a zookeeper for his local zoo. It was there that he got most of his beginning experience with animals. He always felt a bigger connection between them and humans. He just never quite understood what that connection was.

He spent some of his summers in Africa trying to study animals in their natural habitat. It helped him understand them more than he would have by just seeing them in captivity.

After getting his doctorate in Organismal Biology he interned at Jurassic World. He shadowed and helped his father with the genetics in the lab and also spent a lot of time shadowing trainers like Owen. He was on the island when the incident happened and did the best he could to keep his father and others safe.

When InGen decided to re-open Jurassic World he went along with his father and this time as an actual employee. He was even in the labs when one of the new Velociraptors hatched. He was the first thing that the raptor saw and she imprinted on him thinking he was her father or mother. He named her Chicklet with the nickname, Chickie. Since she refuses to be away from him for too long he was allowed by InGen to keep her and train her until she grows bigger and needs to be placed with the others.

I'm finally able to start on my characters now. It shouldn't take long since I've been thinking up the ideas I had.

Hmm. I'm going to start working on my character soon, but for my dinosaur character I'm thinking of making a baby velociraptor that was recently hatched that imprinted on my character. The main purpose of which is to follow my character around and cause problems for him.
