My sister saw me watching the Co-Optional Podcast and thought I was skyping my friends. How ridiculous! I don't have friends.

Also, one thing I forgot to say - the "Secret Police" would be better if it were MI5 or MI6, as the King's Men sounds more Victorian than anything else. Both MI5 and 6 started in 1909, so there'd be no problem with time periods there.

Wade, dawg. I love you, but ye ain't the gm here. I'll PM people any issues I have.

Well... I don't think what I have planned has many similarities with Clocktowers.

Was going to go with stubborn and with some anti-englishness thrown in.

Is that acceptable?

I'd have to wait to see the Cs, but as long as its not FECK OFF YA ENGLISH BASTARD it should be fine

It's certainly OTT, but I always figured that it was as much to terrify as it was to satirize. The petty nationalism leading to the Enclave advocating genocide and eugenics, the chirpy Americanisms and posters talking about the perfect American, contrasted against the desolation of a nuclear-devastated world (like Fallout 1's intro), always struck me as a cautionary tale. It's creepy.

Fascist/far-right governments tend to be quite utilitarian about their populace and their requirements, rather than particularly twee about the idiosyncrasies of a country as a whole, or they tend to pass off utilitarian qualities as being intrinsic to their "nation". They wouldn't just A-Okay every sterotype.

That being said, there are quite a few repugnant groups around today, Britain First and the EDL, ""Skinheads", for instance, who lack any form of education and generally subscribe more to stereotypes and the glorification of "semantic patriotism" than other far-right groups. I can easily see this sort of person, a hateful individual, having that hate exploited and channeled into a sort of public-censor role such as you describe.

I think the blend of satire with darker themes is what I find particularly engrossing. You have your crazy gimmicky gangs of grandma's then some really harrowing scenes like God/Dog battling with his personalities, or a greedy landgrabber blowing a town off of the map because "its and eyesaw".

@Kingfisher As a question, you already got one (But I was planning on making one) but what about another Scotsman? Being one I kinda wanted to make one but then one was already made...

I can think of another concept if need be.

I'd rather not have another walking Scottish stereotype, but if you want to do a three-dimensional scottsman that's fine by me.

Name/Nicknames: Duela

Age: ????

Appearance: Flaky, necrotic flesh, deep sunken eyes, and charred tatters for lips; Duela has all the tell-tale signs of a Ghoul. She has a hard, masculine build, with shoulders that posses a firm slope, and an unnaturally stiff posture, yet her broad hips retain a certain feminine flare to them. He patchy clumps of dirty brown hair fall down around her shoulders in messy tangles, and her teeth are jagged and yellow with rot.

Her eyes have taken on a sickly pale hue, yet they still retain the passionate fire and stubborn determination that burned within her during her human years.

Race: Ghoul

Personality: Quick-thinking and meticulous, Duela has a cruel cunning, and an even curler witt. She learned, long ago, not to take herself too seriously, but knows when to drop her playful exterior, should the situation demand it.

Skills/Attributes: Highly skilled in various martial arts and different schools of hand-to-hand combat. A master of subterfuge, and as resourceful as they come.

Back-story: Duela's backstory varies depending on who you ask. Some would claim she was a high-ranking scientist in his majesty's government, others that she was SIS's top assassin. All can agree that she had some sort of prominent role in one of the European Commonwealth's secret services, and some would have you believe that she was directly involved in the events which led up to the apocalypse. But those are just rumours! Right..?

Wether Duela became a ghoul as a result of radiation from the great war, or if she exposed herself to controlled amounts as a survival technique leading up to the atomic conflict, is unknown, but for whatever reason she ultimately ended up succumbing to ghoulification.

Intending to reconnect with a former employer, for reasons that are strictly classified, Duela made her way down to what would become Silvershaw, only to discover that her contact had passed away. Taking pity on the locals, Duela decided to stay and help out with setting up the village, but as days turned into months, then years, then decades, the Ghoul became something of a living legend amongst the community.

Can I ask who this Anti-Steroytype Police is? I think they may have skipped over the rediculous irish-scottish-cockney religious communist spreadin' the words of Jesus and Mao xP

You mean to say that places exist...OUTSIDE of England?! Poppycock!
So I saw the bit about not making an offensive stereotype, and saw it as a challenge. I'm an American, and I'm trying to make a pre-war ghoul that used to be part of the British Secret Police. He's a ridiculous stereotype because I'd assume that going along with Fallout's themes of 50's conformity, the UK government would enforce a stereotype of a Model Citizen on its populace too. Just posted a WIP in the Character section, tell me what you think so far.

You had me at Ghoulishly handsome.

Wade is technically right about the character tab, but I cant see him not getting approved.

I never actually enforced this, but I think Wade was quite keen to.

I've got no problem with self-aware ridiculous stereotypes, as Fallout has always been quite OTT in nature. Obviously if it undermines scenes that are sombre and serious in nature I'll be abit miffed, but in general I'm fine with it.
I am busy throwing up today. Just why I haven't posted anything.

There's no rush. Hope you feel better soon!
Fair warning, I have no idea about anything related to Britain or the UK and I've most likely dun goofed. I apologize in advance if I make any of your people from across the pond cringe and shit.
I have absolutely no fucking idea wtf this thing is

The only criticism I have is that communists are firmly anti-religion, although I suppose that detail could've been lost to the passages of time. Looks good! Chuck 'em in the CS tab.

@End Here I'm opposed to Milo starting with a firearm, but other than that he's approved. Feel free to move him over to the CS tab.

@SomeChap The Ghoul is a personal favourite of mine. Good job with him. Feel free to move our resident revolutionary over to the CS tab.

@vietmyke The Range is accepted! Put 'im in the CS tab.

@Luminosity Lux is also accepted! There's a special place for her in the CS tab.

@TTNoobs Wigstan the pious is a-go. Feel free to plunk him in the CS tab.

Y' what? Aye, we've got rite accen's 'ere in Yorkshire.

In Surrey, we treat Northerners in much the same manner that the Brotherhood of Steel treat Ghouls and people with pre-war technology.
