I think I may have to drop this. I'm having a hard time trying to find a way to jump into such a well developed rp, it is making inspiration harder to come by when so much has already happened. I thought I'd be able to do it but I was wrong. I do deeply apologize for the inconvenience, I hope to rp with you all in the future.

Miriam Archer and Topher Jones
A @kitty and @melissahart Collab
Location: The Helmsley Yacht
Interacting with: Trent the Asshat

A hand rested on her hip, an arm across her back, both feelings foreign to Miriam. Especially with how close the hand was resting to her butt, such intimacy was something she had never experienced before. Yet here she was experiencing it with the last person she’d ever want it from.

Glancing out of the corner of her eyes she looked to Trent who was too busy chatting with his friends as they waited to sign in and board the boat. Turning her head to look around the pier she noticed people staring. They had been since she got out of the car with Trent. Miriam was well known due to her family and the way she looked tonight went against everything people had come to know about the Archer girl. Whispers of her being a closeted slut or her making a deal with the devil could be heard occasionally, causing Miriam to play with her cross necklace. The one thing she didn’t change of her appearance.

The tightening of the hand on her hip brought Miriam to glance up at Trent who was looking down at her with a smirk that sent chills through her spine, and not the pleasant kind. Looking away she focused on the sounds of the waves as a way to drown out Trent and his friends talking about their previous hookups.

When they finally got to sign in Miriam thought she’d be able to get some alone time but Trent had other ideas. He made sure she was with him as the party really got into motion, never once letting her leave his side as he drank and enjoyed his time with his friends. With each passing minute and additional drink, the more Trent got handsy. Well tried to.

His hand would move to her bottom and she would move it back to her hip. When they were sitting he placed his hand uncomfortably on her thigh, his fingers slowly moving towards her inner thigh until she excused herself to the bathroom. The worst part of the night began when he tried to kiss her but she moved her head so his lips hit her cheek. Trent took this as an invitation to start kissing down her cheek and to her neck. This caused Miriam to freeze for a moment before shoving him away.

“Trent Stop! I’m not comfortable with that.” Miriam yelled over the music, pulling her jacket closed and hugging herself as she stepped away. Trent’s face immediately twisted in anger as he grabbed her wrist and began to drag her to God knows where on the boat. The whole time Miriam was trying to break free of his grip while also wondering why no one was trying to help her, she just guessed people were too high or drunk to notice or care.

When they were somewhere secluded Trent trapped her between him and the wall of the area they were in, glaring down at her as she went bag to hugging herself and averted her eyes elsewhere. “Listen here and listen good blondie. You just sit there and do as I say and want or else I will tell the whole school and church your brother’s secret. Got it?”

Miriam nodded, fearing she would breakdown if she spoke. All Miriam wanted to do was run or breakdown, but she had to be strong for her brother. Even if it meant dealing with whatever Trent wanted. So that’s what she thought of as Trent once again began to kiss her and then her neck. His hand gripping her waist as he held her in place. Miriam could only hope that somehow they were interrupted so he’d have to stop, just someone or something to distract him.

Topher was already over this party. Sure, it was nice that he had come with his new friends from Burntown, as they liked to call it, but something was just off this evening. Yes, the party had fire music, tons of booze, and definitely an assortment of attractive women, but Toph was not exactly feeling it so far. Maybe within the next hour it’d get better, but if not, he’d be swimming to shore.

Currently, he stood against the railing of the ship overlooking the sea, smoking a cancer stick. Once again, he was kicking himself for taking one, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Gazing around the party, he watched as the drunk idiots made fools of themselves, his peers arguing with the bartender, Miriam making out with some kid in the corner, a couple of kids- wait what? He looked back over to where Miriam stood, practically pinned up against the wall by some kid he couldn’t see. She looked hot, but clearly not happy with the situation transpiring. Uncomfortable; scared, almost. That wouldn’t do. That wouldn’t do at all. With no hesitation he threw his cigarette carelessly in the ocean and quickly made his way over to the pair.

“Hey, kid, I think you’ve had a little too much to drink already. Should probably get out of here before the boat leaves.” Toph yelled over the loud music, his comment directed towards the guy essentially groping Miriam, but keeping his eyes locked on the blonde.

Miriam had closed her eyes to try and disconnect from the current situation but it was a voice that Miriam recognized but couldn’t place at first, that brought her to open them again. Her eyes locked with none other than Topher’s and a wave of relief washed over the blonde. Well, until she noticed how angry Trent looked.

Trent had only tensed up at the voice, anger beginning to build up as he stopped what he was doing and turned away from Miriam to look at whoever was interrupting them. Glaring at Toph he got up in his face. “I think you need to go back to whatever shit hole you crawled out of and leave us alone. The girl and I were enjoying ourselves until you butt in, so get out of here or I’ll make you.”

Toph couldn’t help but chuckle at Trent’s attempt to scare him away. Who did this guy think he was anyway? Topher, on the other hand, looked quite intimidating. A leather jacket, tough boots and his staggering height said it all- don’t mess with him. He let another laugh slip out of his mouth before pressing his hand against Trent’s chest to move him away. “If this is what you call enjoying yourself, I’d love to see what having a great time is like for you. Does it involve you forcing yourself onto more girls unwantedly or do you just drug them so they don’t squirm?” Toph’s face went grim. “She doesn’t want you to do that, so get the fuck out of here before I make you.”

Trent began to fume at Topher’s allegations and threat. More than anything, he just wanted to beat this cocky bad boy wannabees face in, but he knew better than to take this guy on alone. He’d get what was coming for him, just another time when Trent has his buddies there to help. Glancing at Miriam with a cold glare he thought about if he should out her brother tonight or not, but he decided that if he wanted to have another chance at having fun with her then he’d keep the secret so he could continue blackmailing them. Turning back on Topher he stared him down silently for a minute before walking past him, knocking his shoulder against his with a good amount of force behind it. “You better watch yourself, I’d hate to see that pretty little face of yours get fucked up.” Trent then disappeared back to the main party, looking to find some other chick to hook up with.

Still where Trent had left her, Miriam watched on as the two faced-off. A flutter in her stomach and a warmth in her chest developing when Topher stood up to Trent for her. The feelings quickly faded when Trent turned his glare on her, she pulled her jacket closed once more as she hugged her stomach and looked away. It was only when she heard Trent’s retreating steps that she looked back over to Toph. As the silence filled the air all she could do for a moment was look at him as the reality of what happened sank in.

Before Trent could walk away after shoving him, Toph grabbed his shoulder and whispered eerily in his ear. “Don’t try me. I’d sleep with one eye open if I were you.” Shaking his head once the offender vanished, Toph got a good look at Miriam, noticing how shaken up she was from the ordeal. He stuffed his hands back into the pockets of his jacket and moved a single step closer to her. “Are you alright?” He asked plainly, not wanting to pry as to who that grade A asshole was.

Taking a deep breath Miriam nodded as she shakily pushed herself away from the wall. Another deep breath, then another and it finally seemed her mind was clearing up. “I’m alright. Thank you for…” She trailed off, closing her eyes for a moment and taking another deep breath. “Thank you.” She gave him a small smile of thanks as she pushed a lock of hair behind her ear.

“Enjoying ourselves” his ass. It was clear that Miriam was not enjoying herself. Toph wasn’t exactly a softy, but it hurt him to see Miriam so shaken up. Toph should have punched that guy when he had the chance. “Here, let’s get you some water.” Gently, he placed his hand on the small of her back, not wanting to scare her, and guided her towards the bar, where he locked eyes with the bartender. “Two waters.” He spoke, and the bartender quickly rushed to grab them their drinks. Toph gratefully took the two cups and handed one to Miriam, “Here, drink this.”

Not only was she thankful for his suggestion of water, but she was also thankful for him placing his hand on her back. There was a part of her that still felt a little shaky and it was reassuring to feel a supportive hand on her back. Not only that but it helped to bring back a bit of her old self as a small blush painted her cheeks as the fluttering in her stomach returned from earlier. As they arrived at the bar Miriam turned to face him just as the waters arrived. Taking hers and bringing the cold drink to her lips she realized just how thirsty she was and began to drink a good amount of it before realizing what she was doing and bringing it away from her lips as her face burned red. “Sorry… um. Thank you again Toph. I-I think you basically saved me back there. Thank you.” Her brown eyes held nothing but thanks as she looked into his brown eyes, feeling nothing but safe in his presence.

Toph’s curiosity got the better of him as he stood there with Miriam. He was happy to play knight in shining armor any day, but something about the situation definitely seemed off to him. From what he knew of her Miriam would never hang out with a guy like that- It was a surprise that she even associated with Topher. “Of course, Miriam, I wasn’t about to let that asshole do anything to you- who even is he anyway?”

“Trent. He’s on the football team and unfortunately goes to the same church I go to.” Miriam bit her lip and began to fiddle with her necklace, oh how much she just wanted to tell someone else what was going on. Let anyone else know that she was being blackmailed, but if Trent found out then her brother would be outed and it would be her fault.

Toph nodded, sipping his water. “Unfortunately indeed; I’m not a big fan of him.” He remarked, looking down at the blonde. Hopefully this ‘Trent’ kid wouldn’t mess with her again, and if he did, he’d have Toph to answer to. The tall boy took in her new look- he definitely liked the new changes he saw, but it wasn’t too different from the Miriam he met yesterday, which he liked even more. Gazing around at the party he noticed his stupid peers taking pills from gumball machines, something he wouldn’t even dare doing. It was questionable, this party was questionable. “I didn’t know you came to parties like this.” He stated, turning back to her.

Miriam nodded in agreement to Topher’s statement about Trent. “Nor am I.” She took another sip of the water and looked around at the partygoers, popping pills and getting drunk. If only her mother saw her now. Toph’s comment brought her to face him again, “I didn’t use to. I just wanted to try something new, spice up my life a bit. Well spice it up by my own decision I guess.” A small smile played on her lips as she looked down at her cup, a small laugh escaping her lips. “If my parents saw me now I think they’d probably officially go mental.”

“Well, you need to spice things up every once in a while, and this party is definitely the place to do so.” Topher replied, looking down at Miriam. He then motioned around to the party “It’s a cool vibe though- haven’t been to a party on a yacht before, but I guess that's Beverly Hills for you.” Toph ran a hand through his hair, and laughed. “This isn’t usually my scene either. Thought I’d come check it out too.”

“Well I’m glad you came. Not just because of…” Miriam trailed off before licking her lips, “It’s just good to not be the only one that’s kind of out of their comfort zone.” She finished what she was saying and turned to once again just look at the party. She didn’t quite know what to do at one of these events, well other than smoking, drinking, dancing, and hooking up. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to do all those things, maybe try a drink and maybe dance. The other two were definitely further away. “We can always experience this party together.” Miriam said absentmindedly, when she finally realized what she said her face warmed, “I-I m-mean if you want.” She stuttered glancing at him.

“Yeah, definitely. Together.”

I'll get to work on a post soon here and hopefully have it up soon but I am in the middle of moving so it may take a bit. Also if anyone wants to have any relations with Angel, friend, classmates that have talked, etc. just let me know.
I will have my Ornithophobia character posted either tonight or tomorrow

Outside — 'Arriving' at the Party

Fawn & Lucky ft. True

Oh how Fawn regretted every minute of the drive to the pier. Her face was burning in embarrassment and the one to blame for it all was her ‘friend’ True. True had decided to stay and hang around with Fawn until the party and thus ended up in the car with Fawn and Lucky. The car ride was horrid, True being who she was just talked and talked the whole time, embarassing the little deer multiple times as she did. But it all came to a head when True let it slip that Fawn liked the boy currently driving the two. That is what currently had Fawn’s face burning a brighter red than her hair wondering what she’d done to deserve this.

How could you blame True? She didn’t know where her mom and brother’s feud was standing, so she was determined to avoid it at all cost. On top of that, her friend was getting a ride from this cool dude, who had a casual charm about himself, as he drove a dark honda civic. A car that was surprisingly nice for someone she heard was on the bottom of the ladder. Affordable but nice. The car for poor people to feel rich. Owned by Lucky, the infamous troublemaker.

No one knew much about him besides the fact that he was a riot and wore things like that smart watch on his wrist, that made people think he was ‘just like everyone else’. True had been multitasking. One, she had been searching the entire web on her phone to find out if Wyatt was going to this party or not, only to result in finding out NOTHING. Two, she had been probing the stranger that was chauffeuring her to see how he felt about her dear Fawn. She had to make sure he deserved her, but this guy was a blank canvas. Hard to read, no substance because he chose to filter himself, or maybe he was not one to talk unless absolutely necessary. “Soooooooo, do you like her too?”

The midnight blue car parked beside the sidewalk, a short distance away from the boat. Rather than answer her question, Lucky turned the ignition off and looked into the rear view mirror to see True giving him a focused, looks-like-her-head-will-explode, glare, “We’re here.” From the distance, Wyatt and Rose were signing the tablet and getting ready to enter the party. Too bad True was too focused on interrogating Fawn’s crush to notice.

Luckily for True, Fawn did take notice of Wyatt and Rose. They would be her saving grace. Taking out her whiteboard she quickly wrote a message for True and held it up in front of her face, blocking Lucky from her view. “Wyatt is here with Rose. He just signed in.” She continued to hold it in front of True’s face, the only way she’d put it down would be when True finally got out of the car. Fawn didn’t need True interrogating Lucky anymore, she loved her friend but she had embarrassed her too much within a short time span.

“OH MY GOD!” True gasped. “Please do not tell me Rose is his girlfriend! I’ll shank a bitch.” What was she doing still in the car?! True hurriedly unbuckled her seatbelt and threw the door open, “I’ll catch you two later. Byeeee.” She jumped out of the car and started scurrying away. However, before she got too far, she turned back and rushed to the car to Lucky’s window, “Don’t get my friend pregnant! She’s a baby. There. She was satisfied. Now, she could leave.

After a moment of silence, the only sound that was heard was Lucky tapping his thumbs on the steering wheel. Breathing lightly, the Hound turned his head to look at Fawn, finally. He made sure to not stare at her during the car ride because he knew her friend was killing her on the inside. He did find her adorable, though. There may have been a few instances he took quick glances, but fortunately for him, she was to distracted by her embarrassment to notice him staring.

“Thanks again, for the cookies.” He broke the silence with a better thank you than his text message from earlier. “For a girl who looks like she hardly gets a decent meal, you can bake.” Perhaps he was looking too deeply into it, but her figure was incredibly scrawny and something told him that her diet wasn’t the best. “Oh, and don’t fret about your friend. I can tell her filter isn’t the best, but she means well.” He turned his body to face forward, watching people enter the boat from afar, as he leaned back in his chair — in no rush to leave his car. “It’s nice.” To know someone liked him, yet her standards, in his opinion, were questionable. To know that for a moment, she saw pass the asshole that he was. Even the car ride with True, he didn’t mind. Her friend made the car ride lively. It was enjoyable and if she was looking at his face close enough, he did have a faint smile.

A sigh of relief blew through Fawn’s lips as True finally left the car. Luckily, for the sake of Fawn’s face not overheating, she wasn’t looking towards Lucky’s window when True told him not to get her pregnant. When she did finally look to him she ended up having perfect timing as she looked just as he began to speak. His thanks meant a lot to her, she really wasn’t one to be thanked all that much, especially not at home, so when she was thanked it was special to the girl. But then for a moment it seemed the Hound had sniffed out a bit of her hidden life when he brought up that she didn’t look like she got much of a decent meal. And for a split moment she thought he may start asking questions and her stomach began to flip, but then he moved on. The topic passed within seconds, him moving on to talk about True again. When he finally finished talking Fawn kept her eyes on him, but with a soft gaze, only looking so as to not miss anything he might say, although a small part of her was looking for any signs regarding her small secret that had gotten out about her liking him. He hadn’t brought that back up and it was making her a bit nervous, which could be seen as she messed with the ends of her cardigan that hung over her hands. She did have a soft smile on her face, one that had formed upon noticing Lucky’s own faint smile. It gave her the slightest bit of hope.

Lucky looked at the boat and thought to himself. Was the party worth it? It was just another party thrown by different rich kids that thought they ran the place. He could get away with missing one. Who cares if this one was being thrown by the Helmsleys; they were simply making a statement.

Roz would understand.

With an immediate change in mood, having come to a decision, Lucky drummed the steering wheel, before turning his head toward his interest, “Want to ditch this party? You, me, get lost and have an adventure. Your friend did say you like me, yet she thinks I’m the type of guy to get you knocked up on our first date. Let’s prove her wrong. And —” His faint smile turned into a charming smirk, as he leaned closer to her, the predator wanting his prey, “—Allow me to give you better reasons to like me.” He let his words settle in, making sure he moved his lips slow enough so she could read him. “Whatta you say?” A change in scenario would be good for him.

The little deer’s eyes widened at his proposition, then as he continued speaking and brought up what True said the blush began to creep back onto her face. It only intensified at his sudden leaning in, Fawn freezing from how close he was. But the girl responded by nodding in agreement, it was the only movement her body was capable at that time as she locked her eyes with his. She was intrigued by this boy and there was no turning back now.

“Perfect.” He turned his body and started the ignition. He needed this. This girl enticed him and made him… feel. Why run away when he could explore this unknown territory? He didn’t know the probability of them working out, but it was worth a try. He had enough things he was fighting. His want to be close to her wasn’t something he wanted to add to it. This could be good for him. Or it could be the worst thing he’s ever done in his life. Only time could tell. “Tap the dashboard once if you want me to make you dinner at my place, twice if you want me to take you to a couple of places I’m fond of, that includes dinner, or thrice if you want to be surprised.” When he said ‘once’, ‘twice’, and ‘thrice’, he used his right hand to showcase what he wanted.

He’ll leave it up to her to decide.

Putting her full trust into him Fawn reached forward and tapped three times on the dashboard before sitting back in the seat, excited and a wee bit nervous for the night ahead.

“As you wish.” Surprise, it will be.

The Hound would take the Deer on an adventure.

They drove off, disappearing in the night.

Oo Grant's abstraction will be interesting when and if it interacts with Angel's abstraction.

This is also a post from me to say I'm still here just a silent observer as I'm awkward lol
I'm interested, I may join. I will let you know soon if I can.

Mentions: Olivia @Bee, Savannah @melissahart, and Jax@Lovely Complex

Post embarrassing her two favorite redheads, Josie had headed back to her room to glam herself up for the party. And damn, did she look good. Not that she didn’t usually, but she was looking extra fine. She was ready to take on the party, she may not have her best girl with her this time around but she could rock solo. This was Josie we are talking about, she radiated confidence. She didn’t always need to be with her girls to rock the socks off of places, although it did help.

Adding a touch up to her lip gloss, Josie pop her lips then winked at herself in her car’s mirror. Opening the door she hoped out and shut the door behind her, she was arriving just in time to be fashionably late but also there before the boat leaves. With a bounce in her step the dancer made her way to the the ramp, signing in and going up onto the boat. Glancing around she took in the party as she walked across the deck of the boat, it was impressive that was for sure. Who was she kidding, it was the Hemsley’s boat so of course it would be impressive. Only one part of the party mattered to her though and that was the dance floor.

That’s where Josie went immediately easily getting into the groove of the music and finding her way to the middle of the dance floor. She spent the beginning of the night dancing, moving through the crowd and getting unwanted boys of the uncomfortable boys, just enjoying herself to the max. Feeling her phone vibrate part of the way through the party Josie pulled it out and saw a text from her friend Olivia.

To: Olivia
Girl. Did you try checking the dance floor? You know I’m always on the dance floor.

Josie was going to stick her phone back in her pocket but as she glanced once again at the party’s DJ, something she’d been doing periodically through the night, she remembered she needed to text Savvy.

To: Savannah
Okay, girl have you seen the DJ. He’s cute. Yes I know you have Trevor now but you can acknowledge this boy is cute, cause if he’s not I’m going crazy. My eyes keep finding him, it’s weird girl. It’s weird.

The text pretty clearly showed Josie’s slight panic to how this boy was affecting her, she was not one to typically be affected by a boy so she was not quite sure what to do.

Verónica was excited for the party. That was for sure. She had been convinced by a few of the other football players that she should come since she missed the New Years one. It wasn’t hard to convince her though as she had been wanting to go to a big party like that for a bit.

Expectation vs Reality was quite the shock for the Mendez girl. The yacht was so much better than anything she could ever imagine. The lights and the music created an atmosphere that she could never dream of making, then you add in the access to the drugs and alcohol plus the factor of literally being on a boat and well, the party was amazing. Verónica spent a good hour of it just walking around the yacht and getting a feel of everything happening.

Eventually Verónica had ended up at the bar, that’s where she stood with a drink recommended to her by the bartender. It was fruity and had that perfect touch of the burn of alcohol as it went down her throat. As she sipped the drink she looked around hoping to maybe catch the eyes of some other girl or maybe see a girl who she could dance with later, she thought she may have seen someone but then her view was blocked by the chest of some boy.

Rolling her eyes Verónica looked up to be met by the boy’s smirking face. A scoff escaped her lips as she looked at him, “May I help you?” A sarcastic smile graced her lips as she looked at him.

“I saw you scanning the crowd and just thought I could save you some time. You, me. Best night of your life.” The boy confidently said.

Well this was just too good- a laugh escaped her lips. “Look, dude. You aren’t my type. So no thanks, I will pass.”

The boy took a step closer to her, placing a hand on her waist. “I can be whatever type you want me to be babe.”

“Yo, hands off. You are not my type, just move on.” Verónica threw his hand off her now glaring.

“Just let me show you I can be then.” The boy was persistent and tried to kiss her at this point. Verónica threw her drink straight into his face causing him to stutter and step back a few steps. “What the hell?!”

“You’re not my type. Get that through your thick skull. Wanna know why you’re not my type idiot. I like girls.” Verónica set her glass on the bar and walked past him to the sounds of people laughing at the guy and his friends saying things like ‘burn’ and ‘damn she showed you’. A smile present on her face as she headed for the dance floor.

Why was she here again? Oh yeah, because of her Circus family. They wanted Jun-Li to experience more of a social life outside of just them. So they dressed her up a bit and dropped her off at the pier. Telling her to call when the party was over, well for her the party would be over in less than an hour.

If Jun-Li was being honest the party was already done for her, but she’d barely been there for 10 minutes. She at least wanted to stay for 20 minutes then she’d call it quits. So she was sitting down observing the party from a far, watching all the people have fun as she sat awkwardly alone. It wasn’t until she looked back to the shore that she realized the boat was moving away from the shore.

Jun-Li’s eyes widened as she ran to the railing and gripped it watching the shore grow further and further away. “This can’t be happening! I’m stuck on this boat?! This is a dream… no a nightmare. I’m going to die on this boat.” Jun-Li’s began to panic as she sank down to her knees resting her head on the railing.

Eventually she pushed herself up then stomped her left foot down before sulking to the bar. Sitting down at the bar she rested her head on her arms while pouting, “Just surprise me… I don’t care…” She told the bartender when he asked her what she wanted to drink. A few moments later a drink was set down in front of her.

Jun-Li stared at it for a few minutes before sitting up and taking a sip, immediately her face contorted. Her lips puckering and her face wrinkling as she reacted to the awful taste of the drink. Quickly sticking her tongue out she wiped at her tongue with her sleeve and pushed the drink away from her at the same time the laughing bartender set some water in front of her. She thanked him before using the water to rinse her mouth and get rid of the nasty taste.

It wouldn’t be the only time she’d react to alcohol at the party though, as Jun-Li decided to stay at the bar for the beginning of the party the bartender decided to see if he could find a drink she liked. So far they’d been unsuccessful though. Most of the drinks resulting in a sour expression.
