Vivian chuckled to herself "Poison, clean water... I got those right but I'm guessing chips are ok cause every time you've pricked me with one of those thorns of yours I've been on the ground crying. Yep, already knew most of this through experience unfortunately." Vivian looked down, noticing that Curry barely had time to realize what was going on around it to even notice her own pokedex entry. Pokemon around every corner, seeming to crawl out of the woodwork just to steal her cookies. The tiny plant let out an awful screech of frustration just before being snatched up by Vivian with one hand as she stood.

"BUD BUUUUD!" Lemmie go! I'll show them! I'LL SHOW THEM ALL!

Curry wriggled in Vivian's grip until the trainer rolled her eyes and stuffed the screeching plant into a side pocket on her backpack, leaving the plant stuck snugly with only her face poking out. "Ok missy, naptime for you, sheesh."
Curry reacted by struggling in the pocket, until her annoyed screeching was eventually replaced by snoring. At Lizabeth's beckoning Vivian followed, holding the egg as tight as ever as it only just now seemed to dawn on her, the adventure had already begun and not much could be done to stop it now.

The wooded area was, well it was a bunch of grass and trees, not much different from the woods back home. Vivian watched the scuffle between Lizabeth's pokemon and the poochyena, taking the time to copy out the entries for the two as well. Vivian sped up her walk as she approached the pair again, holding her egg steady with one hand and putting the pokedex away with the other. "And to the victor go the spoils, mostly just bragging rights and a Pokemon right now huh? I'm gonna wait a bit to put Curry into a fight, might let her chill out for a second so she doesn't cause any lasting harm, she kinda freaked out at the crowd. Plus, she has this idea in her head that any food that I have, actually belongs to her." Vivian patted the egg hanging from it's makeshift sling as she watched a bird Pokemon dart between the trees. "But yea, go ahead and ask, everybody does at some point. Plus I like talking about it, but I'm not gonna force you to listen if you don't wanna."

Lee shrugged, having been distracted by the tiny shape shuffling through the woods behind them. While it was difficult for it to follow unnoticed in a building, the outdoors were much more comfortable for them. Lee turned back to the group as Arc spoke, the symbol meant little more to him than it did to the others, but the lights were concerning. As if in response the glittering wisps became more visible now, indistinct shapes that filled the space around Lee with light. "Let's just hope we can find the kid soon, has anybody seen the lights since? I suggest we talk to the people who saw them. Otherwise we need somebody who can recognize the symbol here. The other obvious route is wandering aimlessly in the woods."

Meanwhile, the shape came into view, a small hooded figure wearing a thick white wool coat stared at Lee from behind a tree. Her fingers twitching as she suddenly lurched forwards, a large shard of bone erupting from the snow behind Lee only to be interrupted and shattered by the upper skull of a small dragon that seemed to warp itself into the space where the shimmering lights used to be. "You haven't been practicing, your constructions are feeble and incomplete. Nice trick though, using the snow to hide your attack."
Both constructs of bone faded away, like ash in a heavy wind.

The figure kicked at the snow angrily, removing their hood and waddling angrily in Lee's direction. "Cheater, you could feel me standing there! Besides, MawMaw said it's more important to practice healing."

Lee nodded, pulling the girl closer as he spoke to the group. "This is my daughter, Violet. I suspect her grandmother is out of town to meet a few friends, so I'm stuck with the little gremlin at the moment." The little girl grinned at the group, her crooked smile and messy, short cut hair almost matching her father's save that the girl still had mostly brown hair. Her eyes though, her eyes were different. They were deep like Lee's, windows to a truth that her face refused to betray... They seemed older, more intelligent than the eyes of a girl her age. And in some ways? They were unsettling.

"Whatever we do, seeing as this doesn't seem inherently dangerous at the moment, she'll be coming along. Besides, she has more skill with healing than I do, in the case one of us gets hurt?. Also, to answer the earlier question, My mother has been living here for a while, But I showed up a little while after Violet was born. Joined the guild a good half year ago just to get the gremlin to stop bugging me about it."

Vivian was, surprise surprise, not paying attention. The Pokedex was an interesting piece of tech to be sure, though apparently when a Pokemon is trying to get a chip bag off it's face, the camera can't recognize what kind of Pokemon it is. Vivian tucked the device into a pocket on her bag, steadying the egg hanging in it's cradle with one hand, and reaching out to try and catch the now panicked Pokemon waddling it's way through the group of trainers until it tripped over itself in front of a trainer and their fox-like Pokemon.

"Bud-Budew.... Budew" I guess nobody noticed the plant with no arms needed help... yea?

Vivian couldn't help but chuckle as she knelt down to suddenly rip the bag off Curry's head and stuff the trash in a pocket that rustled and crinkled, as if to say that this is an embarrassingly common occurrence. "If you could stop embarrassing me in front of all the cool, exotic trainers and their Pokemon? That would be greaaat." She quickly prevented rebuttal by tapping the shining black and red Pokeball that hung from her waist like a key-chain.

Vivian looked up, seemingly just noticing how close she was to the other trainer. "O-oh, hey... sorry for bothering you I'm Vivian, the chubby plant down there is Curry." Her eyes lit up as she noticed the sleek black fur and red accents of the new Pokemon next to their trainer who seemed busy in a sketchbook. Her voice faltered, as if she was about to cry. "Who are they, and what business do they have being that cute?" Curry rolled their eyes as they waddled up, trying to stand up straight as if it would make them seem larger. Budew, bud bud."Never seen something like you before..... And yet, somehow, impossibly, the smell of oversalted fried chips somehow made it even more difficult for Curry to seem intimidating.

Vivian continued as she reached into her bag, mumbling something about healthier treats as she geeked out. "I've never seen a Pokemon like yours, nobody ever had one at my Grandmother's daycare in Hoenn.... oh here we go!" A sudden change from the chips and sweets, Vivian pulled a slim package of cookies from the pocket on her bag. The package held tight against the contents, vacuum sealed to keep them fresh. Opening the package she smiled as she offered the trainer and their Pokemon, Curry now very agitated at the sight as they waited for the admittedly inevitable point that Vivian would hand them one. "Lava Cookies, from my hometown. My grandmother is convinced they have some kind of healing properties, but I think that's a bit of Old People logic, trying to get me to eat better. These are made by my grandmother so they might be a bit sweeter than a regular Lava Cookie but I swear they actually are good for you."

PANIC
Why?
We lack situational awareness that's why.
Again?

Vivian went pale as she realized just how hard she tunnel visioned on the new Pokemon. She turned to the other trainer who had been there, a taller girl with red hair who was followed by what she could only describe as a gremlin. "Oh Arceus, I'm sorry about that.... I guess the introduction applies to you guys too, only fair right?" Vivian shrugged, this was not the first, and it would not be the last time that a cute Pokemon had prevented her from noticing her surroundings. IT seemed they weren't moving just yet, so Vivian sat down in front of the two, moving the blue speckled egg to rest in the space between her criss-crossed legs. She held the egg tight, some primal thought in the very back of her mind telling her to keep it close, and safe.
Vivian meanwhile, had lost it at the Professor's yelling at the other girl and was currently bent over, tears streaming down her face as she tried her best to keep her egg from falling out of it's silken cradle near her chest. "Th-That's, THAT'S OAK?! The young woman exclaimed, falling into another gigglefit as she tried to speak again. "Arceus... If that guy is what we can expect in Kanto I'm gonna die of laughter before we even hit the first gym."

"Bud-Budew...Budew."Whatever you say, just don't let that guy 'study' me alright? He gives me the creeps. Curry grumbled, having quickly hidden itself between Vivian's legs at the appearance of Professor Oak. Vivian straightened up, wiping the tears of joy from her face as she straightened her egg cradle. "The other girl has a point though Mr.Oak, where are we starting? And do I need to keep a camera ready for folks like the Professor?
Hoenn Region - Lavaridge Town

"So tell me about your proposal again sir? What do you intend for my granddaughter?" The old woman's gaze was peircing, the man sitting across the table from her squirming in his seat, his Gallade trying not to make eye contact with the frightening human woman while his Gardevoir stared back as if it were a challenge.

"Well, Quite honestly I was suggesting she take the Kanto Pokemon League Challenge... She shows quite a bit of talent in the care of Pokemon at least, and something tells me she could get somewhere in a place like Kanto. Money would not be an issue, at least early on. With how well she cared for my two admittedly bratty Pokemon here I would be more than willing to pay for her trip to and fro as well as provide enough money for the first two weeks."

Vivian's grandmother grinned as the man rambled on as if he were a teenager again, the old Daycare Lady had that sort of effect on people and Pokemon alike. "Well, it's all up to her but you seem honest in your praise. I'll let you and her mother know of the young lady's decision.

Vivian mumbled on the couch, her grey overalls and white t-shirt stained green from the grass as she lay face-first on the overly soft surface, snoring softly alongside Curry, who lay on the back of her head. "I can tell the girl works hard, but lacks a certain maturity. The trip would be good for her and her Pokemon..." The man stood, reaching down to grasp a large egg wrapped in a green cloth. Vivian had rolled over by this point, Curry grumbling in it's sleep as it rolled down Vivian to rest near her legs. The old man sighed as he placed the egg near the Budew, who almost immediately lay against it in the corner of the couch. "Take care of this egg kid, I'm sure it will make a great partner..."

Kanto - Somewhere below a tree

To be perfectly honest, Vivian had been in Kanto for a good four days at this point, however she spent most of it finding comfortable places to laze about while waiting for... well she didn't quite know what she was waiting for. The slow murmur that was building in the area around the Lab however, did end up waking her.

Vivian rose slowly out of the grass that hid her sleeping form, startling the Pidgey that had taken to sleeping on the Trainer's head. This woke Curry, who reacted by throwing herself at the Pokemon and missing, slamming face-first into Vivian with a solid whack. "... Ow, cmon Curry it's too early for getting rough like that..." The trainer grimaced at the sun in the sky " At least it WAS early... ah well then. Let's get a move on."

Vivian stood, picking up the egg bundled in red cloth as she moved for the Pokemon Lab. "Bud, Budew!" God, slow down long legs! Curry shouted, waddling down the hill at breakneck speed until she eventually tripped over herself and rolled away from Vivian uncontrollably, finally stopping near a whole crowd of Trainers and their Pokemon. "B-Bud" Owowow Vivian sped up to a jog, bending her knees a bit as she tried to stop herself from falling over like Curry did. "Cmon Curry, we both knew what would happen if you ran downhill. You ok?"

"Bud-budew!"Of course I'm ok! The Pokemon leapt to it's feet after rolling on the floor in a circle for a moment, waddling to it's place between Vivian's feet as the Trainer stopped near the crowd, patting the egg that was now strapped to her by the cloth that was wrapped around her to make a cradle of sorts."Seems I overslept again, hope I'm not late."
@NeoAJ

ok so I just read your post and I straight up love it. Just the sheer fact that Oak is actually senile at some level, or just really really good at convincing people of it made me laugh harder than it should, reminds me of the "cranberries" old man voice the game grumps keep doing for literally every old man character.

"Do you have a Ditto and an Articuno you could trade for, buh... this chair I found?"
@KiwiTime

Just because I'm posting an intro doesn't mean I'm closing off applications either, so feel free to keep me posted on what you are working on, and your character can come in at pretty much any time.

At work but can send my very incomplete cs via pm
Highly interested seeing as i only really have one rp atm.

Literally cannot decide between being a psudo villain or a gentle giant.
