Changed the song at request from a certain person. Now the Machina feel like they are 1200% more screwed.
I'll be posting here around tomorrow, or this Tuesday. Just letting you all know.
CIEL, The Stargazer
KC-00032: The Angel's Fortress

At first, Ciel wondered how the Machina acquired weapons capable of shooting down her shooting stars. A glance to the grinning Alchemist beside her would make it obvious that either Hohenheim had something to do with it, or she was just getting her kicks from it, probably both. Regardless of it, Miyu would find out that her spell had little to no effect on the massless bolts of magical starlight, neither protecting them from being shot down, or making them end the battle in mutual destruction for both the Angels and the Machina.

Rather than that, the magical starlight meteors did destroy a good portion of KC-00032's anti-air armaments, clearing the threat to both sides.

"Well, then," the Star Magus said, dismissing such thoughts as she noticed something interesting happening withing the Machina ranks. "Oh, is that one still powering up? We certainly cannot let such a thing happen, can we?" Ciel asked herself, since Aquila was still holding the previous attack against Grafdakka and Unit-T. A quick look allowed her to spot what she searched for, the swarm-like Machina was drawing material from KC-00032 to empower itself.

If that's the case, Ciel thought of an interesting plan. However, before she could execute it, Unit-T made mad charge in her direction, regardless of barrage of huge debris it was being petered with. "If they have such powerful weapons," Ciel said to more to herself than anyone else, "why can't they also behave more strategically? Like, I don't know... robots?"

"Master of the Celestial Ocean, Guardian of the River of the Stars, I call upon your power!" Ciel said, clapping her hands together as a huge rumble shook KC-00032 once. A moment later the source of the rumble would become visible as a tsunami coming out of nowhere hit the factory's grounds. A primal roar known to some of the combatants on all of the battle's sides was heard as a certain Sea Monster, raised from the flood, coiling its massive body around the charging mecha in an attempt to crush it.

Taking the advantage of her summons' surprise attack, Ciel also ordered the Leviathan to shoot its freezing breath attack toward the Cloud, seeking to encase it in an icy coffin to stop its growth.
EOS, The High Queen
KC-00032: The Control Room

"You think that the Machina wouldn't be prepared for the Demon's tactics this time? Do not underestimate us," Eos said. A moment later, Artoria would notice that the lava she spilled was being drained as fast as she could pour it from her gates, without damaging anything she really wanted to damage. The reason was simple, the High Queen had countered her tactics by creating a draining system with her Silver Eyes, redirecting part of the lava flow to burn the buds Henrietta spread through KC-00032. The rest of the lava was used to assist Shizuka's attack against Methilus, trying to drown the Demon in a pit of their own burning death that suddenly opened under his feet.

Around the same time, Eos finished her first song and changed to another piece. "Hear my voice, and give the best of yourselves. As long as you don't give up, I'll be here for you," the High Queen said. Her new song had a new effect, as expected. All the Machina troops would find their defenses greatly reinforced as the light coming from Eos' own core, her heart, formed a tangible aura around them.

Lastly, Greg would have a surprise in the form of a powerful laser blast coming from his side and knocking him across several walls. Said laser came from none but Eos herself, or better, from a copy body that she was controlling. "Go support the others, we will not win this by staying on the defensive," Eos said as she walked past Lilian, unleashing another barrage of attacks at Greg which caused an chorus of explosions to rumble the depths of KC-00032.
Somewhere in hell, a certain vampire rested in her dark palace circled by nothing but the deadly roses she cherished so much. "I can't believe it," Victoire said to herself, sinking her claws at her throne's arm, "even when I guarantee their victory, I still come out at a loss." The smallish vampire gazed bitterly at her hand, missing the ring which was so important to her and remembering that, even when she won she still lost.

"Will this ever end?" Victoire asked herself. However, her monologue was interrupted by an untimely intrusion of an individual whose appearance looked quite similar to Victoire's own kind. "Who are you? And what are you doing here?" the Blood Countess asked, angry at the interruption.
"Oh please, do not mind me. If you want to continue the self-loathing monologue feel free to do so," the girl said as she walked into Victoire's throne room nonchalantly, stopping to pick one of the Blood Countess' roses and admire its fragrance. "However, if you want to make a more useful contribution as one of our kind, I have a suggestion that might interest you."

"I don't have time to waste on intruders like you. If you like my Demon Roses so much, I'll let you have an intimate feel of their embrace," Victoire said as her patience ran thin before commanding her roses to tear apart the intruder.

"Oh my, where's my education?" the other vampire said. "I'm Helena. But I guess that you can call me queen. After all, I'm the most powerful of our kind," Helena said, finally identifying herself while stopping Victoire's attack with a single hand.

Victoire's eyes almost fell off her face as she saw the girl stop her attack with the same easy as one swats of a fly. "Lies!" she yelled. "I have never heard anything about a Queen, much less about you," Victoire said, with irritation noticeable in her voice. "Explain what you want here—"

"Shh, shh, my child. Did your mother never teach you to not speak out of your turn?" Helena said in a patronizing voice, pretty much mocking Victoire's outburst. "If you really want to know, all I want of you is that you raise a special kind of rose to me. After all, my own castle is so devoid of life. It could very well use some new decorations..." Helena opened her hand, showing that the rose she picked a while earleier had changed from its usual crimson, to an alluring blue hue.

One could only imagine what Helena had in mind.
At the Elysian Paradise of Celestia, many events seemed to be taking place. A general unrest could be felt permeating the many halls and aisles of the heavenly palace. One of the reasons for such was the news of the sound defeat they suffered at KC-00032, especially when it looked like most of those who left for that battle never returned. Not only that, but most of the Heavens' best combatants just disappeared out of the blue, retired to whatever corner of the Nexus they originally came from. The future didn't bode well for the holy hosts of the Divine Imperator, not at all.

"Sincerely, it's almost like everything is conspiring to leave those harpies be the only ones doing the fight around here," Diana said to herself as she walked around the corridors while drying of her hair, after getting off of a public bathing pool. "I think it's not just this place. The Nexus as a whole have seen better days. I wonder if this mean that something big is about to happen?"

A sigh escaped Diana's lips as she stopped by a nearby balcony and gazed at the sky aimlessly. "If only I could see Bastion once more," Diana said to no one in particular.

All the while, the clouds danced in the skies above.
While Iona was being her ever dutiful self, searching the Nexus and beyond for clues on what the recent events meant, Juno was ordered to stay behind band make sure that no more disturbances could either enter or leave the world of endless warfare. This naturally meant that she was the one to reply to Deva's summons.

"Did you call us?" Juno said as she walked into the Divine Imperator's audience chamber. Her eyes were downcast as if the Snake of the World had a great burden resting on her shoulders. Even her voice was more composed than Juno's usual self, as was evident when she said "Iona is searching out the truth. Meanwhile, I have to keep anyone from trespassing the boundary."

"I feel something bad, something that makes me want to protect Celly and the others more than ever," Juno said solemnly before making a pause and turning her head to the side as if she were trying to see the very horizon beyond the walls of Deva's palace. "Do you know what it is?" she asked, after turning her face back to Deva.
Back at the seat of Mankind's power, Eos observed stoically as those she called for arrived in her audience chamber. Not long after Hibiki, Shizuka and Krieg, a collaborator that Eos wasn't counting on at first came in to deliver some very special equipment to those before her.

"Before anything else, I would like to thank you for your role in KC-00032's defense. It was only thanks to the efforts of troops like you that we could preserve that which belongs to us," Eos said as soon as everyone was in their rightful place. "As proof of my appreciation for your efforts, I shall grant you a few rewards, so that you can keep on serving our purpose for the troubled times that are about to come."
"First, Krieg will have his Eyes unsealed. While it's too early to trust your capacity as a commander, this power shall help you fight on par with the Nexus' best." Just as Eos spoke, Krieg —and thus Endian— would be able to feel the power of his former Golden Eyes being unsealed, the surge of powerful energy coursing through its circuitry. "The Meido Sisters shall be granted a special gift, shared by their very soul. Each of you will have one Silver Eye. Alone your powers shall be weak. However, when together, they'll rival even those that I posses. There's no doubt that you'll use this power well. Additionally, I have placed Dr. Karizawa's TEP project under your jurisdiction. He shall report to you, and you shall make sure that his objectives match those of the Machina."

"While this is the end of the gifts I have offered out of my own power, our newest collaborator shall explain the detail of a very unique project. With this you'll have the edge you'll need in future battles," Eos said, gesturing for their newest ally yo step forward and explain what she had in mind.

"Is there anything you would like to say?" The High Queen asked.

Name

Ascelia Vizwhurz

Age

24 years

Personality & History

Ascelia is the no nonsense head of the Vizwhurz household, a long lineage of Germanic magus hunters from Central and Northern Europe. At first they used to serve as mercenaries in employment of the Church, in an analogous manner to the famous Swiss Guard. However, once opportunities dwindled, they joined the Association, most exclusively to work as Enforcers.

As is expected of the heirs most magus families, Ascelia didn't have that much of a carefree childhood. Because of that her mindset is pretty much a heavy militaristic one. She's someone that probably wouldn't know how to behave very well outside of her usual environment. As a consequence of this Ascelia didn't even put much mind into passing on her bloodline for the time being.

Abilities

Most of Ascelia training consisted of reinforcing her body to develop enormous amounts of strength, agility and toughness (for a human). Most of her family's magic methods focus on old Runic Magic, which Ascelia uses for further reinforcement, applying them to her clothes and throwing dagger-like Mystic Codes.

When in a pinch, Ascelia can make use of self-inflicted healing and berserk curses. They can cure all but a instantly fatal blow and allow her to keep on fighting at the expense of later damage to her body and magic circuits. Adding to her abilities, Ascelia possesses a couple of notable family heirlooms. The first is a magic ring craft as a anti-magecraft talisman which provides her with the equivalent of Magic Resistance D. The second is Tyr's Hand, a Conceptual Weapon embodying the sacrifice of the old god Tyr's hand to the fearsome beast Fenrir. Due to this, Ascelia's right hand has the power to slay any Magical Beasts of Phantasmal Rank and below, as well as similar creatures like most familiars. Theoretically this allows Ascelia to harm Beasts of superior rank as well, but she's unlikely to ever survive such a fight.

Atalanta is has a very peculiar personality, fruit of her life experience in the Age of Gods. She can be, and most of the time is, very closed toward most people thanks to her being raised by animals, with little to no contact with humans. Acid remarks are not above her either and she could give you a chewing if need be.

She can, mellow out considerably in face of children and when enjoying herself on the wilderness, in fact, Atalanta would do do almost anything for the sake of children and the wilds.

Don't mistake her kindness for weakness. Atalanta is one of the most dangerous Hunters of the Age of the Gods, blessed by the Sibling Deities Apollo and Artemis, she can hit you with pinpoint accuracy A rank attacks in a starless night across an entire valley and her animal instincts and agility make her all but impossible to catch unguarded or keep up with on a skirmish over difficult terrain. With all these traits together, Atalanta is as good as one can expect that the Archer class can get.

Ok, there's a post.

There's the chance you guys wanted to keep Wagnil alive. Don't lose it, because you'll likely don't have another one.

Hehehe...

The winds began to build strength as the heavy cloud covering and buffeting snow threatened to plunge the night into pitch black darkness. Even the Captain's voice had a hard time piercing through the impregnable shroud of the merciless northern weather. "Gather up and force your way through the opposition, Cadets!" she shouted as she forced her way through the attacking wolves, defeating a trio before she reached the ones threatening the group with falling boulders.

Right behind them, the leader of the pack lurked. A wolf almost twice as large as the others with scars covering all of its body. Certainly, that was a beast that had seen more than it's fair share of battles during its life. A cunning and brutal hunter who knew no remorse or hesitation.

"Degraff, Brandeau, Ti'Amtum! We are going to take a shortcut, use your abilities to bring Wagnil to the hilltop," The Captain yelled as he readied her weapon, waiting for the dire wolf's charge. "Giltwith, Clemmons, you two support them! The rest of you, hold the rearguard and get ready to retreat as soon as the others sign you." As soon as she finished laying out her orders, the Captain engaged the leader of the pack, leaving the fate of the Cadets in their own hand once more.
ERIS REINHARDT
Fort Breda

After her talk with Veronica and Lily, Eris was left wondering the reason why the Militia was so badly equipped when compared to the regular military. Though, the answer seemed to be an obvious one, "Galia isn't so different from the Empire, the aristocracy still thinks the commoners are nothing but stepping stones."

Such a thought caused Eris to grow as stiff as a board once a member of the very social class she was thinking of approached their squad. Thankfully for her, Lord Barst left as quickly as he came. Not before holding an impromptu commendation ceremony for the senior members of the Squad and giving them all a weekend-long leave at Randgriz.

The last thing Eris noticed as she joined the rest of the squad in her trip to get her belongings ready (thankfully she hadn't even unpacked anything yet) was the badge of the Galian Military Intelligence Service on Brast's uniform. This was enough to cause her to sigh a sigh of relief once she reached the showers. There's no telling what could happen if her Imperial origins were to be revealed, after all this was the main reason why Eris and her sister declined officer promotions after finishing college. She could only hope that being assigned to Squad 04 wouldn't put her in a bad position.

"You guys certainly are a lucky group, aren't you?" Eris asked in a nonchalant way as she set aside the very same luggage she brought with her yesterday and joined Lily.

A glance at the blonde's face made her apprehension obvious, though Eris couldn't be certain of the reason behind it. For a moment, the silver-haired girl wondered if she should ask Lily about it or not. But given their previous talk, Eris felt that she could at least give try.

After a momentary pause to gauge how she would approach Lily, Eris asked in a way similar to the one she used when she needed to approach of her students, "You seem to be a bit nervous. If you don't mind me asking, is there something bothering you?"
I'll reply here this weekend, or so. My time is really short but I don't plan to leave anyone hanging more than a few days. Also, I can't really let those roses end the battle in the demons favor once more when Victoire isn't even around.

There's being efficient and then there's being Team Demons' MVP on battle she hasn't even joined.

Both Eos and Ciel will likely have some interesting tricks on my next post.
