So, just to simplify it. Let's make it clear that each faction has a single deployment zone, placed at the limits of the battle field, more or less at the same distance from one another.

The Angels start at in an area with some old tombstones and mausoleums.

The Demons at one of the entrances to the catacombs.

The Machina at a small grove of dead-like tree.

The basilica in the description is more or less at the center of the Graveyard, dominating the area.

Distances are relative as always, let's just say that the battlefield is big enough, so at least a few kilometers wide. I won't really do much more when it comes to distance than this.

PS: Just to make it clear, these base camps have no influence on the battle whatsoever. They are just a logistics convenience. You don't need to hold the fort or anything like this. Though, let's say that there's a faction aligned (non disableable) portal there for anyone who wants to bail out.
By the way, I added an event log to the 0th IC post.

It'll be properly updated with things to come from now on. Older ones are yet to be seen (depends on how lazy I'm feeling).

The Graveyard of the Lost: Intro

The place where the souls of the lost ones who aren't granted the boon of eternity wander to, while they wait for their time to be rebirth and, once again serve the lords of the Nexus in their never ending war. A realm of sacred quiet, about to be defiled by the thunderous conflict...

The Graveyard of the Lost is the Nexus greatest necropolis, the place where souls waiting to be brought back to life under a new mantle wait for their time. Sometimes, one can spend an eternity at this deadly silent and cold zone. It's no wonder that the spirits of the dead can grow restless and bitter in their chthonic lair. Hell's cold apathy drives them to despair, erasing any semblance of individuality or personality the dead may have, over time leaving only angry grey specters prowling the snowyscape.

It's said that whoever controls this land can gain significant leverage on the War, by having more masses of soldiers be reincarnated on their side. Stories tell of even a favor granted by the Angel of Death for those who come "know her caresses" while they keep the control of the Graveyard. A battle for this key location shall certainly be bloody and harsh. Once can only wonder how many bodies the mysterious Gravekeeper will have to add to their already great quota?

Nothing in the Nexus is ever as easy as it looks. Surely, gain the control of the Graveyard is no exception:
This will be a simple elimination conflict, a deathmatch, the last Faction standing shall claim the victory.
There'll be no secret weapons, trump cards or any manner of help from outside sources during the battle.
Spread through the Graveyard are a large number of ruined mausoleums, tombs, even a maze-like catacombs with entrances and exist hidden around the area, and even a ruined basilica. They can be used for cover, but it's better to check out for traps, as well as any anguished denizens before setting foot on them.
At any moment, the combatants com be attacked by the Graveyard's inhabitants. The tortured dead seek retribution on any who's not one of them. They cannot be controlled or reasoned with and will attack any who oppose them until destroyed. Once the battle is over, the dead shall quiet themselves once more.

That concludes this battled briefing.

Dropping one more piece of information in case anyone isn't aware of it yet. The battlefield has been decided to be roughly 50km in radius (that is 100 km diameter) centered around the basilica. i.e.: it's a relatively sized piece of countryside terrain turned supernatural graveyard.

Just for comparison's sake, at the standard speed of the sound, Mach 01 (roughly 1250km/h), it takes about two and a half minutes to go from te basilica to anywhere in the battlefield and vice-versa. Use this when you consider how fast you can travel around the area, specially for the people that can fly.

Gonna warn you all right now that I have a first batch of college tests next week and I want to focus on catching up on my college work.

No worries.
So, here's my first pick (probably isn't going to be much of a surprise to some people here):

I'm yet unsure if I'll do a second, but if I do, I have a good idea of who it'll be.
@Banana

That feels ok. I guess it means that Harpies raised on ships become parrots, probably...
By the way, I plan to have the next battle begin tomorrow night, so that we can have the whole weekend for a good start. As always, anyone that has hanging interactions by the time it begins can wrap them up and move on to the combat in the same post.

Just leaving this here as a reminder.
Atalanta
"I did not know you cared for those sloppy familiars of yours," Atalanta replied to Medea accusations towards her. "Furthermore, that was a greeting shot. The fact that you noticed it means that it worked, am I right?"

As soon as Atalanta noticed Medea losing speed after being hit by her arrow, almost dropping to the ground completely, she tensed up becoming a blur of motion. The feline archer demonstrated once more why she was named the fastest Heroic Spirit of the Age of the Gods, closing the gap between her and Medea in the blink of an eye. Atalanta pounced at Medea, trying to pin her to the ground, if only for long enough for the Witch to listen to her.

Whether she succeeded or not, Atalanta would follow the take down attempt by saying "You know just as well as I do that, if I wanted to kill you I would have done so all the way from Colchis. Do you really think that you could avoid all of my shots, if I wanted you dead? Now, are you going to tell me what are you doing here or not, Medea?" Even then, Atalanta was ready to any form of treachery coming from Medea. If the Witch attempted to take her down with a cheap shot or draw Rule Breaker, the leonine archer was ready to dodge and counter at a moment's notice.
Now that everything is cleared, I'll have a post coming up to this weekend.
