No offense intended. But there's a sweet spot on the sliding scale of realism, and most of the interest checks I usually see skew too far to the realism end for me.

Can't describe how quickly I go from excited to sad when a mecha premise turns out to be realism wankery.

Vocab actually makes a good point there, too. Taking out the group isn't equivalent to taking out Anderson.
I didn't say I was going to?

I was pointing out that an objection on grounds of feasibility isn't actually that pertinent, because Anderson's most potent trick could be worked around, and his backing is a relative non-issue. I'm not playing a 'game', either; just analyzing, and commenting on, a claim of feasibility. As of right now, I don't have any particular reason to want to send Rebekah after him. Though I could easily predict scenarios in which either of the Rebecca/kahs might decide to go after him.

The matter of permissions and rules is relatively moot, as well. Even if someone were to try, you wouldn't be able to eliminate that character any more than they could Anderson. By that line of thinking, that is.

First off, why? Second, I hope you're joking since I don't see it happening since you're pulling in two massive criminal empires plus the guy who can stop time. It doesn't matter how much you can do, if you can't move you're dead.

To be fair, it also doesn't matter if you can stop time if you never get the chance. Sneak attacks are your friend.

Plus, Anderson isn't the only one with backstory resources. Rebecca has the group that backs her, Rebekah has connections both explicit and implied, and hell even Hat-chan has some wealthy pockets she could call on.

It really isn't all that impossible. Especially when backstory-based resources are a non-issue because a minimum of three characters could call upon similarly arbitrary resources just as easily.
So to be clear, are all the missions that still have an active antagonist and aren't listed under "Completed" still valid for claiming?
Times like this I wish I still played law enforcement types

anderson would be a field day for forensic technology
"Full prayers would be terribly inefficient. Though that seems to be magic's greatest flaw. In my experience, that is. Our set of abilities is theoretically infinite but they require preparation." The British sorceress directed her gaze towards the espers on the other side of the room, regarding them intently. She kept talking, but she was definitely thinking about their non-magical counterparts. "So we generally have a relatively small pool of abilities to pull from, abilities that we prepared ahead of time."

"Their powers are a part of them. Ours are something we learned." Rebekah paused a moment, just long enough to surreptitiously check her phone. Nothing out of place at home. The dog toys were keeping him occupied, no messes to worry about. Back to the conversation. "Interesting that you learned from someone, though. I was wondering how magicians learned. Thought there might be some kind of school tucked away somewhere, but I never found it."
In case anyone was wondering, procrastination on Computer Science homework is not recommended. That said, I'm actually here now, so I'll get at least one more post up before chukklehed is ready to move the magicians on.
Benjamin Lloyd

Ben almost rolled his eyes, probably would have if he weren't busy trying to find the chance to attack without overdrawing at the Aura bank. Something that, by now, he knew was impossible. So what was the next best option? Being as reckless as possible, of course. And nothing was more reckless than diving straight into the water, using Deinamig to pump up his legs, and going to town.

His first dive let him rake Artorius and Lawnslot along the beast's flank as he descended, and a few kicks of his legs brought him about to face it again as it tried to circle the pool. A few more kicks to put him on an intercept course, triggering the shotguns once he was close enough, and using the extra force from it and Deinamig to pierce deep. Remove weapons, reorient, repeat.

The downside, of course, is that he was eating up his Aura supply every time. A fact aggravated by his own weapons continuing to drain to try and replenish their own stores. He'd already popped both batteries but the boost didn't add up to much. Ben was going to have to hope that the beastie didn't manage to get a few good hits in while he was playing hit and run.
if you don't ask you can feign ignorance if you're wrong later
"I applied. I was looking for somewhere to go to school, somewhere that I might be able to learn about magic, and I found this place along the way. My father found the paperwork for me, and I submitted it. And waited." She returned the Ace to her deck, and her deck to her pocket. Then she crossed her arms across her chest and leaned on the stage behind her. It had been a good question; clearly the Academy hadn't succeeded in gathering too many magicians, or else their group would have been considerably larger. Rebekah had to wonder if it was because they hadn't tried hard enough, most had refused, or there simply weren't many for them to find. "I don't have any links to the general community, so it was largely by luck that I found Hybrid Academy."

"When I received the letter stating I could come, it was decided. I don't know how much more useful it will be than simply researching on my own, but it will be more interesting, at least." The British teen paused, glancing over at the much larger crowd of espers. "I haven't met an esper before, either. So that will be a learning experience."
