No offense intended. But there's a sweet spot on the sliding scale of realism, and most of the interest checks I usually see skew too far to the realism end for me.

Can't describe how quickly I go from excited to sad when a mecha premise turns out to be realism wankery.

I'll try to post something later, but it won't add up to much. I'm mostly stuck waiting on the large number of mages in the process of, or awaiting the results of, their System Scan.
Everyone's quiet as the empty hours drag by until missions, possibly waiting for Blizzcon.

I think it's more that no one's bothering to post for the things because the missions are coming, honestly. Aside from anyone's who been working on a collab (I know two members of my own team were), there's no point to do anything. It's all timeskipped past come Saturday, so anyone who isn't already where they're going has no reason to bother.

You know, you never see anti-villains that often. Heroes? Definitely. Villains? Yep. Anti-heroes? Pretty common. Not anti-villains though. Off the top of my head, Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord is the only definite anti-villain I can think of. Others, like say Lelouch from Code Geass, are very debatable on where they fit on the spectrum.

The term fits what I'm going for pretty well. Good goals, extreme, less-than-good methods. Dash or two of villain should do the trick.
That's the issue that I'm running into, and working on tweaking. He's supposed to be an Antivillain, but I think I need to add a dash more villain to the mix.
Hahahahaha, true. She could probably be darker.

I have to figure out if I walked the line between Anti-Hero and Anti-Villain enough on the side of the latter.
Aaaaaaaand Evil!Ben is created.

Now to see if I created too much of an Anti-Villain.

The difference is that Sapphire's Semblance produces a supernatural version of that. Evil!Luke has a similar effect within a social setting. He's there, but people pay so little attention that he barely registers.
A lot of these evil characters are pretty cool interpretations. It'd be pretty cool if the next contest was to write a short story about said evil versions.
Benjamin Lloyd (BASL Dorms)

Ben tossed Amy the only set of clothes that were within his reach, given their relative proximity, but he wasn't paying much attention. Another Ibuprofen went down the hatch with a swallow of energy drink before the bottle went the same way as Amy's clothes. In times of scarce painkiller supplies, all shared. And man were supplies scarce, after the day they'd had. Amy's migraine, Ben and Lauren's mutual knockout in Combat Training... Sangue was the only one not currently suffering from one source of pain or another, and it was hard to say who had it worst.

Ben's money was on Amy. At least the rest of them had already passed the source of their pain. Amy's was a constant, never-ending noise. Still, Ben didn't waste much time thinking about it. More important things to be done, he reminded himself as he pulled his shoes back on. He hadn't bothered to ditch the rest of his uniform, so he was pretty much set to go. Though there was one thing he needed to do...

He grabbed Artorius and Lawnslot from their place next to his nightstand, and in a few deft moves, popped both of them open to remove two small cylinders. One of which he tossed to Lauren, the other he pocketed. "If you could carry that around while we're out, Lauren, that's be great. Mission soon, and I'm never going to be at 100% if it's leeching off of me constantly. I can take the other one."

Without waiting for a response, he pushed himself off of his bed and clapped his hands.

"Anyway. Bastille, let's get going!"
