No wonder I thought this was interesting, it's one of your ideas. I'm on the fence about Japanese zambonis however. After seeing stuff from like Ghostwire Tokyo and other works by Tango Gameworks, as well as stuff from Junji Ito, I'd love to see more supernatural or straight up horror stuff from a Japanese story. Yokai or something completely mind-screwy.

I'll be honest: I've never seen anything of Ghostwire nor do I read Ito stuff. I don't think it'll dip into supernatural since that wasn't my goal when I made this RP idea years ago. It just has a fresh coat of paint because All of Us Are Dead got me in the mood to bring it back.

Roleplay Synopsis

Kōkyo is a survival horror roleplay situated during a viral outbreak in the Japanese prefecture of Kagawa. Players will be playing the role of third year students at Kōkyo Senior High, a high school located within the city of Takamatsu, having been in class as an apparent gas leak spreads an insatiable hunger for flesh to the people within the prefecture. With the National Diet stuck in fierce debate and the military cordoning off Kagawa, no one knows when rescue will come or if it even will come at all. Unless they plan on dying anytime soon, these students will have to find a way to get out of town and potentially even Kagawa itself.

Welcome to Kōkyo. As I'm sure you've already figured out, this roleplay is primarily inspired by High School of the Dead, although there are other elements included from other zombie media out there as of writing this. If you're interested, please read below for more info on the setting and the roleplay as a whole (more to be added if needed).

1) This roleplay will be average-paced, with preferably a post from each person between once a week to two weeks.
2) Preference to potential writers will be given to people I regularly write with but feel free to make a sheet regardless.
3) Although this roleplay is anime-themed, try to keep to more realistic characters and avoid typical anime traits.
4) The school uniform is stylized as a blazer-like outfit, with red (1), blue (2) and green (3) accents denoting school year.
5) The zombies are both human-like and unhuman. See the abbr for more information.

TTRPG's/RPG's: the Pros/Cons

The main issue with PbP tabletop is that it gets bogged down quite quickly depending on the group. Unlike regular freeform RPs, tabletop RPs rely on dice, and even something as simple as combat can crawl to a halt because you're waiting for someone next in the turn order.

Also: Fantasy is one of the more popular genres on the guild, so it isn't so much a lack of fantasy RPs. The guild has been in a bit of a lull for awhile by now.

It's been a while since I role played in truth but I thought it'd be nice to try to start again whenever my hectic schedule allows.
