I prefer no ice in my drinks, but honestly I couldn't care less if there's ice in it or not. As long as the drink isn't completely ice, then it's fine.

I know full well anime ain't no cartoon, but I wanted to say that apparently this was the year in Sword Art Online where the characters were trapped in the game. I thought this lil tidbit was neat :D

Anime are cartoons in the Japanese context. Anime in Japanese is a general catchall for all animation. In the Western sphere or rather the rest of the world, it means what we commonly see as anime. SAO, One Piece, Jojo, etc.

Why I Roleplay Female Characters (As a Cisgender Man)

Personally, I struggle to see anything that would be wrong with people playing than the one that they identify as be it in whatever form (roleplay, video game, etc.). To be frank, the idea that one must play their own gender is an ignorant take. No one cares if someone plays a Dragonborn in DnD, which has scales, a tail, etc. No one cares if someone plays a blue-skinned Toydarian in a Star Wars setting, which has a trunk and hummingbird-like wings. Are we going to tell people that they can't play as these species/races because they aren't human like their actual selves? Of course not, so what's the point in complaining that someone dares to play a different gender?

Physical Appearance: One might say they've seen a ghost upon looking at Pann. Life on a starship has kept her pale, causing her to burn easily in sunlight. She used to be much taller, edging close to 6', but since adjusting to Zantia's gravity she has shrunk to 5'6''. Both her short hair, trimmed messily in a bob, as well her irises are a seaweed/mossy green reminiscent of the swamps on Taris. Fashion isn't Pan's strong suit, nor will it ever be as she prefers the simplistic approach of soldier or operative-like attire over anything else.

Background: About twenty four galactic years ago, Pann had been born on the Lower City, a Sphyrna-class Hammerhead corvette, to a family of spacers descended from a group of Tarisian refugees. The ship, along with a few other rust buckets accompanying it, had long since become home to these people, later evolving into a meager faction of their own—one distinctly Tarisian and subservient to none. Now it had been Pann's turn to carry the legacy of a planet she had never seen; of a place she would never walk upon.

And so, Pann did just that. She had been raised on swoop racing, winning a great number of races on planets such as Tatooine. She had been told bedtime stories of the nightmarish rakghouls, terrible beasts that struck fear in her heart as a child. As she had begun to near the end of her childhood, Pann had become a Tarisian through and through, holding the planet's memory with pride in her heart.

Though her loyalty was to Taris, however she had felt splintered by the onset of the Clone Wars, and so did the rest of the flotilla's crew. Some had believed in the Galactic Republic's cause, whilst others believed in the CIS, echoing the corrupt republic's historical betrayals millennia ago. Part of Pann wished they would be able to solve their differences—after all these men and women had been her kin—but deep down inside she had already decided for herself. Too many Tarisians had died because of the Republic and their Jedi, and she wasn't planning on being another number added to that total.

As the rift between the group grew and tensions eventually exploded into open mutiny, Pann was quick to join her CIS-minded comrades. It was here where she'd gain the nickname "Scrapper", as fighting within the ship's tight quarters had been grueling, up close and personal. Although each side had planned on securing the ships for themselves, the fighting proved too much for the old, derelict ships, ripping them apart piece by piece to where the survivors of the battle were forced to evacuate by pod.

Among one of these escape pods had been Pann, who had found herself strewn on an agricultural planet along with others that had survived the chaos. To their luck, the planet had been Zantia, a then CIS-affiliated world within the Mid Rim. Seeing it as their best shot, Pann and the others made the choice to integrate themselves in with the Zantians, though only enough for them to form their own small Tarisian community on the planet, having no interest in becoming Zantians proper.

For the next few galactic years, life for Pann remained mostly uneventful until the great change of order throughout the galaxy. The Republic had been turned into the Empire, which would later lay siege to Zantia. Though the Tarisians had paid little heed to the Zantians before, the assault was a rallying cry to them; the destruction reminding them of the stories their ancestors told them of what their homeworld had suffered from Darth Malak and other evils. Grabbing what weapons they could, the few remaining Tarisians made a final stand with the Zantian Militia, giving many of their lives and holding as long as they could for everyone to escape the planet.

Skills: Stunt Driver: Growing up, Pann became a pretty decent swoop racer out on the track. With the swoop being one of the most difficult vehicles anyone could drive, Pann is pretty confident being in the driver's seat.

Spaceborn: Living in space requires a certain skillset that Pann is well used to. She doesn't have much trouble adapting to low G or places with artificial gravity, and is adept at navigating maze-like halls of starships.

Weaknesses: Rebellious Risktaker: Pann has a knack for taking risks she probably shouldn't to gain an edge, as most youth do. It primarily started with her addiction to swoop racing, but it has gradually begun to bleed into other elements of her life.

The Tarisian Issue: Though Pann is spaceborn, she was raised like a Tarisian patriot. In other words, she isn't much one to partake in other cultures, and gets touchy when people bring up Taris in a negative light.

Equipment: Standard/common rebel attire (paramilitary-like clothing, flash goggles, headset/comlink, etc.), DC-15s blaster carbine, DC-17 hand blaster, vibroknife and a few other basic things a soldier would have such as first aid and rations.
