As Sophia pressed play, a series of familiar opening credit sequences began to play on the television. For Nat, the familiarity or normality of such a simple thing felt oddly relieving. Despite the fact that they were now living on a former island prison and that everything had seemed to have gone to total shit the second they landed, for a few seconds, all of it was washed away with memories of home and family.

_{"What do you mean?"} Natsumi asked. Typically, when things seemed off, she often ignored such signs. A sort of "don't judge a book by its cover", if you could put it that way. Of course, however, today had been incredibly different from, say. dealing with a grumpy individual or something. Nat had been pepper sprayed, and the cafeteria had a literal explosion go off. All and all, it was difficult to ignore the chaos that had taken place.

But with everything that has happened, as well the locked doors, armed guards and such, this place is starting to feel like it won't be much of the help they promised me back in San Francisco. If you like Dead Space, I dare say you won't be disappointed. So far it's not super different, but I will say it looks beautiful. Dead Space has always had a wonderful art style, so seeing it rendered in such crisp detail is nice. I've experienced some stuttering issues, but I understand that's a problem for the vast majority of players whether they're on console or PC.

Yeah, I've always enjoyed the Dead Space franchise, so I'm surprised I completely blanked the remake from memory. I'll probably wait for it to go on sale, though. Having trouble justifying slinging down $60 even though I can afford it lol

I'm playing the Dead Space remake at the moment. It's good, it's fine, but I still don't know what it does that couldn't have been achieved with a remaster.
