RIP Swords, if was fun while it lasted.

I am really sorry about that.

Not to mention that when challenged with someone who actually does know what they're talking about, and asks you to back up your claims, you're incredibly quick to leap to the "well gee looks like SOMEBODY has too much time on his hands" defense instead of actually engaging in the debate.

Also, I gotta level with you, "it made sense in my head but sometimes i forget the words to make it make sense to other people" is not an excuse.

Are you still mad about the conference fight between Napoli and Sapphire? Look I admitted that whatever it was I was trying to do I couldn't explain it well enough to make anyone else understand what it was and so I change it. I also apologized for taking so many unapproved actions with Napoli. Is there something else I can do to make this better cause it seems like you've been mad at me ever since.
I don't think he's coming back, and again I can't say enough how sorry I am about that.

Your questioning and affirmation that you have all the facts makes you come off as condescending and arrogant, yeah. As a Co-GM though I understand it's suppose to be your job to analyze players and their characters for any potential flaw or weakness that either needs to be addressed for storyline purposes or simply as advise. But like Harine says, a lot of time you cause quite a stir within the OOC that lasts for days on end as you battle it with the players over something or another. To put it simply, you try to help and all you do is cause a fight. It's not even a fun nonsensical fight like picture wars, which at least we can walk away from without feeling sadden by any perceived lost or something.

Cause you got to remember, as a Co-GM you do have some pull as to what happens in this RP. If you don't like a character us players have to some how compromise or appease you, because you have the authority to deny it. Sure you need Harine and Lugu's input too, but you're here most often so you can do the damage before they can arrive and handle the situation. Like that who fiasco with Kabel's cannibalism. Sure we had players who were concerned, but for the most part all they could really do is have their characters speak their thoughts on the matter. But when you came in and said Kabel needed to do something about it, it could no longer be ignored. It wasn't a complaint, it was an order, and one that not everyone agreed on. Eventually the other GM's came in and resolved the matter but I had a feeling you didn't exactly discuss your battle plan with them before you jumped in to lay down the law.

In a way you play the role of Sapphire quite well: You expect everyone to follow your command if only because you've been put into authority for it. You certainly do have the skills and knowledge to be a good Co-GM. But your approach leaves much to be desired. You have the title but lack the support, so everyone follows along because that's what is expected from us due to the Co-GM/Player dynamic. And as you can see with the rest of Team Swansong, this just makes players scheme and do their own thing without you, though it helps that two members of Team Swansong are also the characters of GM's.

Most of the time when I raise an issue with a character or story point I've completely forgotten that I'm a Co-GM. Usually the problems are something I feel need to be address and I've totally forgotten that I have the power to make people address them.

Where did this come from? Does this need to be taken to a private conversation? Do you need someone to talk to who will listen?

In a Zelda RP I'm in a guy who'd had some trouble with contradictory and controversial posts PMed me his most recent post to make sure it was alright and ask if there was any thing he should edit. I gave him some advice with his post, some pointers here and there, a couple areas where he could be clearer, and what I thought of his new concept. Albeit going into more detail about it than I really should have (bad habit).

He proceeded to swear at me in a PM made almost with all caps. Tell me I was stifling his creativity, that I was talking out of my ass, that I should be arrested for crimes against RPers everywhere and that nothing I said held any weight. He then went into the Zelda RP told everyone else that he would not return unless I rotted in hell and informing everyone in all other RPs he was involved in that he could be on this site any more. He hasn't logged back on since.

Do you guys find me condescending or arrogant?
It's mostly because you have a tendency to be a condescending dick.

It's not purposeful.
@Jangel13 Yes the reason he rage quite was my fault and for that I am sorry but in my defense he overreacted to the extreme.

J and I were in a Zelda RP and J is a bit of a free thinker looking for things outside the strictest definitions of the Zelda continuity. There's nothing wrong with that, he came up with some cool ideas but it did mean that everything he thought up had to be run past Apollo the GM and myself the Co-GM. The trouble was that he quite literally exploded if you asked him to change anything or told him his ideas wouldn't work in the current format of the RP.

Recently he presented me and Apollo with a new idea he had (giving Shadow Link a dark fairy as a companion but that's not really important). He presented us with a post for the introduction of said character and asked our advice on how it would work out. I gave him some pointers on about five logistical things in the post, certain enemies that wouldn't be where he put them, little stuff easy to fix that sort of thing and asked him to be a little clearer on certain concepts.

Then I told him that as a whole his character concept could use a little revision and gave him some pointers on how he might go about it, whether he wanted to follow me or not that was his choice. After asking for my advice and receiving it this was the essence of his response.

All things considered, if I was going to stay on RolePlayerGuild, I would have loved to be Veran with that knowledge. But you have LITERALLY DISINTEGRATED MY OPINION OF THIS SITE!!!!!!!! I WANT TO HAVE YOU ARRESTED for crimes against all RP rules EVER CREATED!

I leave you with advice I tried to get through your ass to your brain when I finally noticed you use your ass to talk.

STIFLING CREATIVITY WITH RULES NO ONE KNOWS ENDS WITH THIS TYPE OF PM OR WORSE ON YOUR RECORD!

I am really sorry that I played a part in making your GM quite the site but really I think it was just a matter of time till someone set him off enough to make him want to leave. I mean no disrespect by that just how it seemed to me.

I was trying to help the RP not tell him his writing was crap, for most RPs I'm in I have standards I hold myself to but I don't expect other people to follow them. As long as it's clear what it is your doing I'm not going to argue with you.

And yes Jangel I realize we had a number of discussions about your posts on HOB but that was really more about grammatical accuracy and I promise I'm not going to try and correct other people's works no matter if forgotten punctuation annoys me or not. I learned that lesson well enough.

With that said I've not had a chance to read all the characters but I gather that all five of the sacred swords are already claimed with that in mind I was wondering the rules regarding magic in the kingdoms and owning or creating magical items. Also are their actual mages or does all magic require artifacts? Not that I want to play a mage but information is essential when making a new character.
@Lugubrious Sapphire was talking to Ozpin but there was no mention of it in your recent post. Should I just fast forward assuming they talked and Ozpin said he'd look into a connection between the kid and the shelter.

I think it J might have dropped out permanently. He posted on all his other RPs that he's not coming back so I think he might be gone. Sorry guys.

With that in mind would anyone mind if I picked up Shadow Link as my second character?
Are you guys dead? If not I'd be interested in joining.
