Tranquil, as a FOOORRREESSST!

Light a fire... within!

If we're going to be civil, use more objective reasons and maybe something with more substance than "laziness" and personal remarks?

I could point out that that is exactly what you were doing not two pages back:

Seriously, this is driving me mad. I just can't understand why you WOULDN'T do it. I know the reason, you're even lazier than I am, or you're just insufferable, or something completely different. I just don't understand it.
Sho Minazuki

You quite literally called us lazy and I can think of no other way to interpret those last lines other than as personal attacks on character rather than constructive debate. If you want to argue your point fine but don't be hypocritical about it.
I think his point was that it's not difficult to distinguish characters without headers if you just read.

I don't think the characters were ever a problem it's location that some people are having trouble with.
>Meanwhile on the site a bunch of others and I come from:

A large portion of the player base, each with over 10 characters, simply put an "IC" at the top of their posts. No header, no character, no anything.

I'd imagine that's a role play site where there isn't a separate thread for IC and OOC traffic so that used to differentiate when your posting IC and when you're talking to the other roleplayers.
I see everyone is getting along.

We're just all one big dysfunctional family.
I was very tempted to go directly into hostility, you may not have noticed it having written the posts yourself, but they were bordering into hostility and were passive aggressive.

That aside, Seraphs makes a legitimate point. One of the problems is that our characters can be pretty much right next to each other and not know it due to lack of context in some posts.

Would you rather I asked everyone properly put setting and position context into their posts via writing?

Or would you rather I asked everyone to just put a goddamn label at the top of their posts?

Even I know how unreasonable the first option is, which is why I just would prefer everyone put 1-3 words at the top of their post? Seriously. Is that so hard? It's why we have a calendar in human civilization, why we have page numbers, why we have titles, why we have categories, why alphabetical order exists.

SO WE CAN KEEP BLOODY TRACK OF EVERYTHING.

EDIT: Seriously, this is driving me mad. I just can't understand why you WOULDN'T do it. I know the reason, you're even lazier than I am, or you're just insufferable, or something completely different. I just don't understand it.

Dude simmer down. I understand where you're coming from and I totally agree, it would make it a lot easier for me if everyone labeled there location clearly just as an organization thing but if you order people to do it, insult them when they don't and just in general react badly to the other person's point of view the discussion will immediately stop being about whatever the original issue was and will become a hissing match between you and whoever thinks your the most in the wrong (this case being Lucius).

Reacting in this manner is just going to ensure that no one wants to label there posts with locations cause you're being kind of a bitch about it. Reading your replies I've had half a mind to stop doing it myself cause you're making such a big deal out of it. I won't cause I'm not that petty but it doesn't change the fact that really all you're doing is pissing people off.
It's a good thing they speed up him playing it instead of making him actually try to play it at 4x the speed. When I was younger and tried my hand at the viola I thought I was hot shit and tried to play a song as fast as I can. Broke a string that whipped me in the across the face very, very badly. Not bad enough to leave a badass scar, but certainly enough to give an awkward gap on my eyebrow where my skin was torn off.

Playing fast takes skills and an extreme level of precision. Once you can play a violin song flawlessly at one speed you try to speed it up and its almost like having to learn the song over again to get it sounding right. Speaking as an amateur violin player (been at it for about two months, I can play a Scottish harvest dance song and a Newfoundland drinking song).
<Snipped quote by Prince of Seraphs>

It's like being hyperactive without the cheeriness.

Every time he plays violin I think he's going to snap the instrument cause he's playing at 4X the speed the actor was when they filmed it.
I love watching Next Gen when they're trying to accentuate Data's androidness so they'll just speed up whatever he's doing in a shot while leaving everyone else at normal speed. It's really funny to watch.

@Lucius Cypher I don't know, when I read it, the tone seems a bit hostile to me between you guys. Although, I haven't been inside this RP for very long so I don't know the way you guys normally act. I guess I'll just leave with the statement that I shall be going to sleep and wish all of you a good night sleep as well.

Generally I take tone out of the equation cause I cannot be sure the tone in which anyone wrote any of this so I'll read the actual text, specifically the facts of what is said and what each person is bringing to the debate and then for the most part (I'll admit things have gotten heated once or twice, let's not bring up the salt debacle again) try to address it as rationally as possible doing my best to keep tone out of my response.
It makes sense, but whether or not we have to is our choice to make. We don't need to put titles or headers for our post either, but we do so anyways for the hell of it. It may be inconvenient not to do so, but is it really worth the complaint and complication to make everyone do it? Some things make sense, like color-coding dialogue, but even if you're just wanting to skim, if you have any intentions of making a post you might as well do some reading.

Actually I think the headers with character and location make quite a bit more sense than color coating dialogue which seems unnecessary as quotation marks serve the same function. It's not as big a deal now while we are in classes because while it might be a bit of a hassle we can check the conference doc but during free times people are often ambiguous about there location with the result that some characters may be standing next to each other and not realize it.
I think I'll have to pass on this. Sorry I just don't have the time. I'll keep track of it and maybe at a later period I'll return.
