Yeah, it will. Because reversing the chemicals will reverse the magic too. Remember that fairy magic is absolutely nothing like pony magic. The magic is just there; it's an energy. Reversing the chemicals, but leaving the magic will just leave the energy, to put it simply. It's more complicated than that, but basically, the magic is unnecessary.

No fairy magic. That caused the problem, so the reversal will have nothing to do with it. It'll counter every aspect of the original.
