Gavin started a little in surprise as Evelyn walked over to him, asking about what was wrong. He briefly toyed with the idea of messing with her, but instead simply groused, "So...bored...SO...BORED..." Sighing, he walked over to his stash of metal, twisting it into a spiral before melting it into cold liquid. "What do you do whenever you can't think of...ah, nevermind, you probably just look into peoples' minds or whatever it is you do, I don't even remember..." The metal slowly melted around his hands and solidified, turning into fists like hammers. He smacked them together, boredom temporarily forgotten. "What was I talking about before, when we had just gotten on the train...? Riiight, the aliens. They're going to gas us all, or vaporize us, or eat us, or something. And then...OF COURSE!" People around him looked at him strangely as he chuckled self-consciously and and apologized.

"Anyway, it all makes sense now! That blonde kid must've been an agent for the aliens, searching for dissent! I bet he can read minds! He saw what I was thinking!" He shook the young lady. "They're coming for me! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! RUN FOR WHAT LITTLE SEMBLANCE OF LIFE YOU MIGHT HAVE REMAINING...! Or he was just some random kid. NOPE, definitely an agent spying on us." He pulled her in closer and whispered in her ears. "If you see him, break his neck as fast as you can so he can't report it to them. You never know, he could be anywhere...
(Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Real life interceded 'n stuff.)

Haru was bouncing on something. He smiled faintly and, as he opened his eyes, was treated to the extraordinarily vertigo-inducing sight of the floor bouncing along above him. A couple seconds later, he felt the wonderful feeling of someone's shoulder blade digging into his sternum. This could be significantly more confortable...also KAMI-SAMA why does my nose hurt so much? It was quite obvious to him that he was being carried somewhere, quite possibly against his will, and the person under him was carrying him like a sack of potatoes. His muscles tensed unconsciously as he prepared to twist out of the person's grasp, when suddenly...they stopped. Turning his head around as far as he could, he saw the words ...ken-shitsu. He was unable to read the rest of it, as the person's torso obscured it. Letting out a weak groan, he dropped his head again as the world spun around him from the movement. ...I feel dizzy...I think I'll just...take a.....little..........nap............"

Let the snoring begin.
________

The boredom was crippling.

Sakaki sat in her class, not even bothering to look down at her books. She could hardly believe it was a third-year class; everything was extremely basic. People just could not understand this kind of stuff. [i]Ugh, you people. No wonder the future of Japan is in the drain, if people actually consider this Lit. class difficult.
She sighed and simply buried her head in her arm, which lay on the desk, resting in the crook of her elbow. There was a sudden crack sound, and just a split second later, the feeling of a very hard piece of wood colliding with her head at high speeds.

(In case anyone's wondering, the words Haru saw were Hoken-Shitsu, which means Nurse's Office.)
Name: Aría Árórasdottr

Race: Caletans

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Appearance: (Picture or description) Remove the cigarette.

Personality: Aría is a short-tempered, hotheaded girl that seldom thinks things through before jumping in and doing something extraordinarily stupid. If you get on her bad side, then God help you. Your flesh will be dissolving within about thirty seconds. If you get on her good side...God help you. She'll drag you all over the galaxy searching for something to do and getting bored of it soon afterwards; things seldom hold her interest for longer than a few weeks, and when they do, they're almost always dangerous. When she isn't angry, though, she's...well, not exactly cheerful, but optimistic.

Unique Racial Attribute: (Each race has a different attribute that is unique to their race. For Caletans it is what branch of bio-technology they specialize in, for Halepotians it is the melee weapon that they use in battle and use for spiritual rituals, and for the Jalaki it is the radioactive isotope they use in their nuclear inventions.) Aría has a fondness for poisonous plants such as hemlock, yew, nightshade, etc., which she uses to create deadly chemical compounds.

At the prospect of a club, Haru became suddenly overexcited and grabbed the paper straight from the president's hands, looking over it quickly. "We need more members than this!" He quickly wrote down two names, then handed it back to Naoki, muttering "Sumimasen..." before perking up again. An infectiously happy grin quickly spread across his face and he ran for the exit. "I need to go find Kimura-senpai and Sorata-senpai!" Unfortunately, in his haste, he had forgotten a construct called a door, which he had closed on his way in. He ran into it face-first and toppled to the ground, giggling a little. Some detached part of him chastised himself for making such a feminine noise before his eyes rolled back in his head and he crumpled, blood pouring from his nose.

____

Sakaki's ears perked up at something. Hmmm...sounds almost like someone running into a door...No, that only happens in manga. Nobody could be quite that dumb.
Delighted at having his stuff back, Gavin nodded at Eve and tore it open. Inside were six ingots of steel. The only other object was a small piece of strange, dark metal which he handled as though it were a precious jewel. Placing it reverently into his inside pocket, he withdrew one of the ingots, hefting it and feeling the weight. Grinning, he held it steady and it began to shift form, first into a sphere, then into a dodecahedron, then into an octahedron, then a tetrahedron, and finally back to an ingot again. He placed it back into the bag and changed the bird back to a bracelet, then to a bird again, sighing. The boredom. It is crippling.

Glancing around, he spied Eve speaking with a boy a little ways down the train. He stood up, placing his bag on his seat, and began to pace back and forth in he small area that he had space in, muttering to himself.

"This?" Sylvia said while removing an apparent splinter fromher hand. She turned around and leaned on the edge of Gavin's seat, removing her jacket to show both a white T-shirt with the small words, 'Faith is the world's best joke, and it's sad because so many people fall for it,' and an intricate tribal tattoo that stretched from her right hand to her shoulder and across her upper chest. The spiral on her hand was apparently the tail to some great bird, which looked as though it was falling out of the sky. There was an arrow lodged in its neck, with a bit of blood at the point of the wound. Enscribed in small calligraphy by the Phoenix's throat were the words, 'Nihil sit ut vivat in aeternum'"I got this when I reached that point in my life when bad things started happening, and good people started getting hurt. Particularly, my brother. Unexpected, I know, I got upset when was killed." Here, Sylvia's playful, sarcastic tone was exchanged for one of exhaustion. "He always thought that he'd live forever, you see, he was at a point in life where he thought that nothing bad could happen. Then he died. So, yeah, the situation is pretty self explanatory. The Phoenix, this mythical immortal bird, thinking it is invulnerable, is shot down by something as simple as an arrow for its ignorance to the harsh realities of the world. It had grown to believe that there would always be second chances. But you need to earn second chances, they don't just come naturally. The Phoenix grew lazy, always knowing that if trouble came to it no harm would be befallen. Therefor the Phoenix lost its privilege, having stopped earning its immortality. This is two things to me. It is my personal reminder to never get comfortable, and my message to the world to watch its back, because trust is a dangerous thing."Sylvia sighed, flicking the splinter off somewhere onto the floor of the train."The farther you think you are from death, the easier it is for it to sneak up right behind you."Sylvia thought about Gavin for a moment, and looked up to him, saying, "You know, ," she chuckled, no longer speaking with malevolence but teasing him, "You can call me Eve if you want."

Gavin became silent, his face showing deep thought. "Wow, that's...something. What do the words mean? What language are they in? I've never seen anything like them before." He stared at the tattoo, and the longer he stared, the more complex it seemed to become, spirals within spirals. I wonder how guilty I am of this. He looked up at Eve. "It's incredible." The metal unexpectedly stopped midway through an arc, falling to the floor with a loud clang. "What's the tattoo made of? How did you get such bright colours? I've never been able to find the kind of pigmentation..." He bent to pick up the metal, watching as it flowed up to his shoulder, where it formed into a silvery thrush and sat, occasionally cocking it's head.
Count me in, sounds quite enjoyable. Would also enjoy staffing this.
