Edith

Edith sat behind her cloud of steam taking the temporary reprieve to gauge just how much Transcendents power was affecting her. Her limbs were feeling many times heavier than normal and without her enhanced strength, she'd no doubt be unable to move. Suddenly Transcendent zipped right past her but this time he'd not launched any tendrils at her, Edith quickly looked back to where he'd come from only to see a flying glob of glue heading straight at her. Edith's eyes went wide as she attempted to weave out of the way of the projectile, but Transcendents power had mad her far too slow to fully avoid the glob of 'glue' which caught her right forearm. "Shit!"
Maximus

Max nodded to Esmeralda, acknowledging her praise. Then Max felt a shadow clutch his tail, but instead of getting startled he got angry. Max quickly pivoted and bit down on shadow's hand forcing it to release his tail, he then promptly kicked the shadow in the head and it dissipated. Max huffed triumphantly, though he noticed a few of the shadows were regrouping that wasn't a good sign.

Max looked over towards three strange-looking kids who were responsible for firing off the fireworks, they had more shadows headed their way! Max ploughed through one of the shadow creatures that was advancing on the kids. While he trampled the shadow an idea hit him, if the kids had more of those fireworks they could rain hell on the cluster of shadow creatures.

Max put himself between the trio and the approaching shadows, briefly looking back at then and gesturing towards the shadows that were using Jack's light to strengthen themselves. He could only hope they understood what he wanted them to do, either way, he was still going to defend the kids so ther could continue peppering the shadows with slingshot fire.
Arson

Fuck, Manifold was tough sure but she didn't regenerate like Arson. A hit like this would no doubt do some damage. Arson growled and stormed towards the flipped truck "Move." she hissed, getting her hands under the truck Arson began lifting the vehicle. The metal quickly started to buckle under Arson's hands, Arson didn't care she just continued moving the truck slowly as to avoid any unwanted accidents. After dumping the car a few meters away before returning and kneeling down next to "How the fuck did she end up under the truck? She'd not have just stood there and taken the thing to the face."
Arson

Oh yeah, that was a good explosion. Arson smiled under her helmet for a moment, but then she spotted it. A gargantuan monster of a vehicle heading right for them, calling it a tank would be a disservice this thing was a mobile fortress! After gawking at the metal beast that was headed their way Arson looked down. All she could see was the van on its head and Jackalope on the ground. Where the hell is Manifold?... Ana thought as she started to descend. Arson braced for impact and crashed into the ground, with a grunt she stood up and looked around, sparing the Jackalope a glance. "Hey you This fight isn't over we've got a few thousand tons of mobile fortress coming our way. You going to be able to Help?"

Arson waited for Jackalopes response before speaking up again. "Also do you have any clue where Manifold is? Tall. Mean-looking. Mute." Arson looked over her shoulder and called out "Yo Mastar you alright! We've got more trouble coming so get your ass back here!" With that said Ana found her sniper in the mud and checked to see if the scope was cracked. Unfortunately, it was so she wasn't going to be getting a good look at moving fortress until she got closer.

Edith

Edith recoiled as another new combatant entered the fray. Another massive scale-covered behemoth, luckily this one was again seemingly on her side. The brute even managed to rip a tendril off of Transcendent, though it was obvious Transcendents powers were affecting the reptilian brute. But even after that Transcendent was still fixated on getting Edith, it was clear this guy wasn't going to leave her alone until he was taken out.

Edith gritted her teeth and got ready, she was going to have to kick things up a notch if she wanted to get this maniac off her case, and so far flame throwers haven't been able to hit him. So Edith was going to have to try something else. Transcendent is at his best when in close-quarters combat, fortunately so was Edith. Suddenly a pair of glowing hot blades erupted from Edith's forearms and Edith lunged forward bringing slashing downward. But Transcendent easily flowed around her strike and retaliated with a few whips from his tongues.

Edith hissed as she felt the pressure of gravity increase, she couldn't let him strike her again like that but if he was fast enough to evade her strikes before there was no doubt he'd be able to do it again. Fuck this guy, he wasn't going to take her back to that horrible place. Nobody was! Edith's clothes burst into flames, quickly turning to ash as her powers ramped up. Edith now stood in her cape costume, the heat around her being so intense that her feet were slowly melting away the concrete underneath her.

Transcendent wasn't at all deterred by this display and again went for her, though this time he was noticeably more focused on evasion. And his strikes were lightning fast. Edith managed to sidestep one of the lashes but his onslaught of attacks landed him a few more strikes on Edith. Edith fell to one knee the weight of Transcendents power was making standing difficult, Edith hissed and lowered one of her glowing blades into the concrete in front of her. The sudden change in heat caused steam to rise from the ground, making a faint cloud of steam.

Edith's little trick worked, for now, Transcendent hadn't gone in for another attack. The glowing hot blades retracted back into Edith's forearms as she let out a tiny sigh of relief, she needed a moment to think, how the heck was she going to nail this guy?
I'm sorry fellas but I'm going to have to bow out. Hope you all continue to enjoy yourselves!
Back on the ship

A few hours later...

The operation was a partial success, some of the missing pilots were recovered while the rest weren't as lucky... A new enemy had been found, one just as if not more dangerous than the necromorphs. While the details weren't abundant at this time it was certain that this new enemy had a tech level that matched their own. But now wasn't a time to worry about all that, now was a time for rest and recovery. The medical staff has already seen to it that everyone is in a stable condition so that everyone is able to mentally unwind and recover.
Nathan

Nathan frowned at his assailant they were as crazy as Anny it seemed, killing for fun still wasn't something Nathan could understand. "Ok first of I'm only half-demon, secondly I-" Nathan was cut off by the sound of David blasting three bullets into his neck. The burst of bullets completely severed Nathan's head off, and his now limp body fell onto the ground. His body lay motionless for a few moments before convulsing and springing back to life. Smoke started to pour from the neck wound as the headless body clambered back onto two feet, then a massive puff of flames burst from the neck and a new head had grown back.

"Gah fucking goddammit! Do you have any idea how much that fucking hurts! Stupid fucking monkey! Jesus Christ!" Nathan rubbed his neck with one hand and conjured a fireball in the other. Nathan threw the fireball behind himself killing a couple of surviving shadows. "As much as I want to kill you, these shadow fuckers are kind of killing everyone in the city and that's not good for business. So I'll give you this oppotunitiy to piss off. Because honestly, I don't have time to deal with you and all this other bullshit." Nathan stopped rubbing his neck so he could summon another fireball, getting ready to blast the next wave of shadows.

@KOgaming

Nathan continued cutting down more shadow creatures until a voice caught his attention. He turned to see some dude standing there complaining about having his kill stolen. Though the man's mouth wasn't moving, a ventriloquist perhaps? In the end, it didn't matter because the dude was running at him with a bloody bayonet.

"What do you think this is? Fuckin league of legends or something?"

Nathan said raising a clawed hand to intercept the bayonet, hopefully being able to catch the blade before it poked into his chest.

"Honestly we've got the whole city being murder by shadow things and you're gunna try and stab me for killing a shadow first? Man people call me a prick."
I've flopped my boi into the park, feel free to come picknick with him. Nathan likes his sandwiches with the crust cut off.
Nathan

"It is such a nice day out today." Nathan said to himself, his back against a tree.

Yeah... Nice...

"C'mon you gotta take a break from violence every now and then."

I mean you're probably right, but there have to be more exciting things to do than just laying about in some park.

"Hey now this is Central Park, not many parks are big enough to have a bloody zoo in em. Also, you can entertain yourself. Now shush."

...

Nathan smirked and closed his eyes, absorbing the peaceful atmosphere. Though he didn't get to rest for long as he heard some screams in the distance. Groaning he leaned up and was a little shocked by what he saw. The green grass stained red with blood, and shadows standing over the corpses of the recently slain.

"What the fuck." Nathan said as he shot to his feet, there was some serious voodoo nonsense going on here. Letting out a sigh Nathan rolled his shoulders and got ready for a fight. Looked like Anny was going to get some violence in the end anyway. "Alright you pricks, come and get some!" Nathan had already garnered the attention of a pack of shadows, he sighed as his hands transformed, his fingernails extending out and sharpening into vicious claws.

Stepping out from under the tree Nathan jutted a hand forward and instantly perforated one of the charging shadows through the chest, it's body evaporated shortly after. "Huh not the toughest things are ya?" Nathan shrugged and cleaved the head off of another shadow. "That just makes my job easier." Nathan continued to cut down shadows, their frailty making it rather easy to dispatch them. Honestly, it might've been therapeutic if it weren't for the hundreds of dead bodies lying around. "Yo Anny you know anyone who's capable of doing something like this?" Not off the top of my head no. Give me a bit, I'll give some of the guys a ring. See if any of them managed to get their asses summoned and are throwing a party.
