this thread got me thinking about how you'd define "regulars" on RPG. it's definitely a personal thing based on which boards you frequent and who you remember based on funniness/quality posts but at a certain point our monkey brains assign identities to usernames and avatars and that just trips my shit all out. there are usernames I could hear out loud and recall memories shared with someone whose face I've never seen. ain't that something?

so anyway what I'm getting at is if we're still doing this sims thing make me haunted by the ghost of @Shorticus.

Big Anthony seconds this accusation. Matches Malone is an upstanding member of this community, whereas Martin Shkreli has sentenced a man to die and is now trying to sentence a second so as to cover up his heinous crimes.

I know I am not in the mafia, so that means two people here are mobsters -- Either Cynder, Gcold, or Bluetommy. However, Gcold has accused Bluetommy, meaning that of all the possibilities, Gcold and bluetommy cannot be the two mobsters, it is either one or the other. I do not believe Matchsticks Malone would be picked for the mafia, as it would be too obvious, so I will go with +1 Gcold
Seolhi are pretty much done. :B

I had an unnatural butt clench when I saw I was mentioned because I thought it was Ol' Anthony on the chopping block.
This blows my accusation out of the water, so I'll wait for actual arguments to be made before I choose.

He's back.

Wookiee 17 Padawan Kashyyyk Force Sensitive

Appearance
Grozbecca is not atypical for his kind; He is tall, strong, and covered in brown fur that darkens at his hands and feet. He stands a few inches above most men, even in his adolescence, and tends to be mistaken for being a fully-grown Wookiee due to the rarity of his kind leaving their native planet. His nails are black and his eyes, when they can be seen, are pale yellow. His time spent around humans has given him a sense of modesty uncommon in his kind, leading him to wear clothes -- He only owns a matching beige vest and pair of pants, but he finds it makes strangers less tense around him. Also, he really likes pockets.

Personality
Grozbecca is a mix of features any Jedi would seek in a padawan, and features that would normally have him go unclaimed and toiling at AgriCorps. Like most of his kind, Grozbecca lacks a great deal of self control or patience, and frequently seeks the easiest, most direct, frequently violent solutions to problems. The rarity of force sensitivity in Wookiees is not lost on him, and he is fully aware of the importance this puts on his shoulders as an example of his people in the far reaches of the galaxy. As such, he easily grows frustrated when he has difficulty learning new things or behaving as a Jedi should. This has lead him to focus on the talents that have been needed of him by his master, particularly tracking and combat, whittling them into hardened skills.

In spite of Grozbecca's short fuse, there is a side of him that his master Aadras aims to bring to light through his teachings -- Grozbecca is a paragon of the Wookiee values of loyalty and courage, and consistently desires to do good for the sake of goodness. Though he shows little interest in meditation and concepts such as the balance of the force, his natural inclination for goodness is one of the foundations of his character and driving forces in his duty as a Jedi.

History
Grozbecca's history begins with his mother's belief that he had been born for the Jedi Order after being told so by the Tree of Life in a dream during her pregnancy, going as far as to name her pup "Firesword" in Shyriiwook out of her certainty that he would not only grow into a warrior, but a Jedi warrior. Sure enough, Grozbecca showed signs of being particularly sensitive to the force at a young age, and was smuggled to Alaris Prime by a Wookiee Jedi known as Rorwoorr, to be raised and trained in the Jedi way.

Though not technically an orphan, this displacement from his parents and lack of parental guidance therein made Grozbecca rebellious from a young age, as well as create a divide between himself and the younglings and Jedi he had been raised with due to his language barrier. Grozbecca became a loner, with little to focus on other than honing the skills that felt most natural to him; Combat and tracking. He was a Wookiee, and by nature took to hunting and battling. Though he was not raised with the tactics of his homeworld for either, he drove himself to augment these talents with the force to make up for it. Though he showed aptitude in using the force in these two fields, it had been noted from an early stage that Grozbecca's disdain for using the force with a clear mind, such as through meditation, was a widening hole in his training. In spite of this, Grozbecca began to exceed the abilities of his peers over time, and after passing his Jedi Initiate trials was chosen to be the padawan of Aadras Zoth due to the Jedi's former knowledge of the Shyriiwook language.

Since then, Grozbecca has spent several years working with his master on peace-keeping missions in the outer rim, frequently crossing paths with gangsters, smugglers, and the occasional slaver, usually using his skill with Force Tracking to find those who went into hiding.

Skills

Jar'Kai - The basis of Jar'Kai is using two lightsabers to maintain an overwhelming offensive speed while sacrificing the strength of a two-handed slash. Because Grozbecca is a Wookiee, he is unaffected by this style's main drawback -- As such, he regularly battles with his two lightsabers, which he has named Yykarat and Ralbacc.

Force Tracking - Grozbecca has an affinity for an uncommon ability known as Force Tracking, which allows him to use the force to see the trail of people or things he is tracking. Of his few force abilities, it is the one he is most skilled in. A few smugglers that have crossed paths with Grozbecca and his master know him as "Aadras' Ewok" for his appearance and supposed sense of smell.

Force Push - Uncomplicated, forceful, and without an emphasis on control. Currently, his master is training him on using the force to push things in separate directions, which he is having some difficulty with.

Equipment

Two Lightsabers - Yykarat and Ralbacc

Jedi Utility Belt

Relationships and Acquaintances

Aadras Zoth - Grozbecca is Aadras' padawan. He has known Aadras longer than anyone else, and though his occasional difficulty learning causes him to lock horns with his master, Aadras is probably the only person Grozbecca completely trusts.

Rad Zann - Rad Zann does not know Grozbecca, but Grozbecca knows of Rad Zann -- Rad was trained by the Jedi who smuggled Grozbecca out of slavery. Should he meet Rad Zann in the flesh, he would likely swear a life debt to him on the spot.
Pretty much the spam forum.

The spam forum is relatively free of rules aside from the basic site rules. An actual forum game section would be free of people bumping things down with one-post threads or trolling, while allowing for game discussion with an OOC tab, which the Spam section also lacks.

any @Mahz love?

Name
The Seolhi
(Shoal-ee)

Location
TBD

The Seolhi are notoriously poor at keeping land that is not coastal, and prefer to spend their winters living on ice floes where food is more plentiful and Dryfolk are further away. Their reliance on the seal as a hunting animal and sailing as a method of travel also leads them to stay as close to the ocean as possible. Because the Seolhi have no true "homeland", many travel nomadically between the Seolhi islands and coastline depending on the fishing season.

Background
Each faction of Aeldarsee fancies themselves the chosen people of their faiths, and the Seolhi are no exception; They were supposedly borne from the sea and lived for some time as seals before being given legs by their moon-goddess Eshkag and being sent to the land by her will. Early Seolhi legends are recorded in little more than drawings on cave walls, though otherwise the Seolhi have recorded remarkably little of their history. The Seolhi generally prefer to pass down their history and culture with storytelling and depictions of events carved into ivory.

Approximately five centuries ago, the Seolhi developed a written alphabet to mark territory and ownership over property such as livestock, weapons, or boats. Since this development, the Seolhi have changed very little. They follow a Sea King chosen by divine right as they always have, and will one day follow his son. Of the generations of Sea Kings, few have contributed to Seolhi innovations outside of fishing and sailing techniques, leaving the Seolhi on a comfortable stone-age plateau of technology.

That being said, the Seolhi are not without their talents. Through time immemorial, the Seolhi have hunted, fished, and travelled alongside seals. The animal is so crucial in their culture that it has become a de facto symbol for the Seolhi, featured in every facet of their life; A man's belongings are guarded by his seal, hunting is always accompanied by a team of seals, and canoes are pulled by seals to make sharper turns. The Seolhi breed fat seals to eat, wrinkled seals to wear, and docile seals to ride in warm, shallow waters. As such, it is considered a grievous sin to abuse a seal, leading to a culture of reverence around the creatures -- Rather than as masters and servants, the Seolhi view the dynamic between themselves and their seals as those of mutual beneficial equals.

Currently, the Seolhi are seen as the savages on the outskirts of Aeldarsee society -- Viewed as less of a society and more of a factor in the danger in travelling alone. Seolhi warriors tend to rely on ambushes, traps, and by travelling in large numbers to make up for their inferior weaponry and armor, and though they typically fight swordsmen with clubs made from jawbones and spears of sharpened stone, the Seolhi are typically viewed with a level of fear for their savagery and preference for taking prisoners to use as slaves.
