Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

"Of course it is," mr. Johnson said, frowning as he processed what he had just heard. Necromancy? Or a staged death? This Daz person sounded dangerous, he had to be dealt with. "You can count on the agency for assistance," he promised. "Once I received the information I will read it through and I'll call you back in for another meeting about this. I want to be read up on the subject before pursuing it."

Benjamin smiled to Steph. "That happens, people's minds go to dark places sometimes." He cupped her face with a hand. "Just remember that I'll be here for you."
"Ben..."
Benjamin looked up when he heard his name and saw Mike. "Hey, you got back too?"
"Yeah, Mitch just dropped me off." His eyes moved from Benjamin to Steph and back to Benjamin. "We have to talk." He glanced at Steph. "Alone."
Benjamin nodded slowly and turned to Steph. "I'll meet you later."

Benjamin looked at the old files through the door. "You have a point," he muttered. "Who knows what shady past is hidden here?"
He tried the doorhandle, but of course it was locked. "How do you suppose we can go inside?" he asked as he looked at Artemis. "If we manage to sneak inside and smuggle a few files back to our rooms, we can read them during the night, put them back here during the day and take new ones."
Anyone patrolling at night would see a lightsource in this room, it was too much of a risk to read them here, but it seemed this place was secluded enough to try and break in during the day, as long as they could keep their stay here short.

Henri looked at all the duplicates that were being formed. Double Team was a tricky move, it usually gave the advantage to the one using it as they could attack unexpectantly unless his Pokémon would be lucky.
"Fury Swipes," he ordered and the claws of the Sandslash started to glow.
the Sandslash swiped at each copy of the Shedinja. The first few slashes met nothing but air, but he continued his swiping as he worked his way through the clones, hoping the next one would be the real thing.

Henri watched it happen, keeping a close eye on all the Shedinja's. One of them would move when a new order was given and he hoped his Sandslash would see the next attack coming.
And there are lots of places for her to explore :)
Benjamin had a smile for Ari. "I'm sure you can do it," he said to her. At this point there wasn't much else he wanted to ask, most of things he wanted to know had been cleared up and they'd be locked up in this place for a while longer. "It's only fair if I answer some questions too, so if you have any..." he made an inviting gesture.

He did take a moment to look at the spirits of Ray and Dia, of course they were still with them. It was odd to see Ray twice, her body here and her spirit a bit further away, it was also odd to hear someone else speak through the mouth or Ray when she wasn't there, but it was only temporary.

"Very well," Henri said and he looked at his Shedinja. "My first Pokémon will be Sandslash!" He threw the Pokéball in the air and after it opened the Sandslash stood on the sand. "Let's start off easy, shall we? Sand Attack!"
The Sandslash alternated his right and left paws to scoop up sand and fling it in the direction of the Shedinja.
One thing that was rather abundant in the gym was sand, but after six swift scoops the Sandslash stopped the attack, reading itself for what was next to come.
Okay, so we had Michael who was like "okay, you're a Pokémon. I still love you."
And Mindy "Wait what o_O"
And Andy "You may be a Pokémon, but you are looking good"
Mabel smiled when Ixia drifted into sleep again, she had never met Arceus, nor heard much about him, she just knew he existed. She turned to Charcoal. "Humans are weak," she told him. "Some can get physically strong or fast, but a Pokémon will still defeat them. They don't have any attacks, and if they do something that looks like a Normal move or a Fighting move it's still nothing compared to what a Pokémon can do. Therefore we must always protect them. But you should be careful, because humans can be evil too. And what they lack in strength, they make up in ingenuity. They can build things that counter their weaknesses we couldn't even dream of building."

Mindy stared at Gavin. "You don't... look like Mewtwo. You don't look like a Pokémon. How can you..." It did explain why he seemed to be unsure about some basic things like buying clothes. "I...I think I need a moment..." she muttered, turning around to leave the alley. This was unbelievable. How was she even supposed to react? A legendary Pokémon looked like a human. This couldn't be real.
When she was outside the alley she took in a deep breath and took her phone. Honestly, there was only one person she could call right now to help her understand what was going on here.

"She'll be back," Penalopy said to Gavin. "But you should tell me how you find such a pretty companion."

Michael heard his phone ring and picked it up. He looked at the number before picking up. "Hey Mindy, have you found something for Gavin?"
"Ehm, I'm not sure if we can find pants for him, because... he has a tail," Mindy said.
"Oh."
"I'm not making this up, you have to believe me."
"I do, don't worry. I know."
Mindy blinked and looked at her phone before she brought it back to her ear. "You do?"
"Had he told you? Who he really is?"
"He said..." it was still unbelievable, it was hard to even say it. "He said he's Mewtwo."
"You can believe him." Michael looked around to make sure no-one was close enough to hear him talk. "Niccia is Mew. Gavin can explain, you should hear him out." If Gavin trusted Mindy enough to reveal his identity, Michael was certain Mindy could be trusted with that as well and maybe it would help her.
"I've seen Meloetta too," Mindy said softly.
"Really? I'll tell Niccia, I'm sure she'll like to hear that." He smiled to Niccia, knowing she couldn't hear what Mindy said, but he'd tell her after this call.
"Right. I'll ehm," Mindy clearer her throat, "I'll go back to Gavin, hear him out. I kinda left him. It's mindblowing, isn't it?"
"It is, I'm sure he'll understand."
"Right. I'll see you later. Say, ehm, say hi Niccia."

Mindy disconnected the call, took a deep breath and turned around to face the alley. She took a Pokéball and let Blaze out. She looked at the Charizard. "I really need you with me, buddy," she said. After another deep breath she returned into the alley, going back to Gavin and the Meloetta.
"So, you're Mewtwo," she said, fiddling with her hair. She felt far from comfortable with two legendary Pokémon with her. At least she had Blaze with her, who stood silently behind her.
"Mewtwo?" Blaze asked, looking from Gavin to his Marowak, then taking in the Mime Jr. and Meloetta.

After the call ended, Michael turned to Niccia. "Gavin told Mindy who he is," he said to her. "She sounded flustered, but it's quite a bit to take in so unexpectedly. Oh, and Meloetta is in town, Mindy said she saw, ehm, is Meloetta male or female?"
He put his phone away, looked at the locked gym and then glanced around to see if the gym leader was approaching or not.

Saruya started running through the city, to the outskirts, going for the forest. Of course they had to make sure to be back at the Pokémon Center before their trainers would worry about them, but for now she wanted to walk freely and enjoy the good company without humans staring at them.

"Newspapers," Andy said. "Or a computer where I can look up regional news. My brother has recently gone missing, so I'm going to see if I can find some clues about what happened. After that I have no obligations for the day. But what brought you to the library? This is one of the last places I expected to come across you, although any human city was pretty low on the list of places where I would expect to run into you."
Meeting her in this form was also unexpected, but definitely not unwelcome.
