Reluctantly retired roleplayer.

Except when I'm not.

Why are you here when you should be writing posts?

You can edit a bad draft, but you cannot edit a blank page.

I see True Blood as more of T&A for the LBGT crowd, which is weird for me because I'm heterosexual. I think.I hope.

Maybe the later seasons, it wasn't much like that early one.

Anyways, what characters do I have to look over lol.

I do watch True Blood for some reason though.

T&A
At the end of the day it really comes down to each to their own I suppose. I look at 'crowd-sourcing' in a very negative light because there's no way you'll please everyone. What if an equal number of players voted for each option?

I think, the player needs to know what they want to do, or at the very least the character they want to play. Heck if you end up making a character you're not able to connect with or not like because the players wanted a different vision then you're going to be no good to anyone.

But like I said, ultimately it comes down to each to their own.

EDIT: I have a draft I'm currently working on for my IC post :P

Who's going to be reading the story arc? Us. Why join an RP if it's less collaborative and more "GO WRITE YOUR OWN LITTLE FANFICTION WITH NO INPUT FROM ANYONE ELSE!"? ...this is a shared universe of characters and more importantly, writers. I'm not in this solely to write Ollie or Grayson or Beast Boy or any of that shit, I'm here to have a fun interactive experience with my fellow writers and their characters, and hopefully give and receive criticism, praise, and advice so I can grow into a better writer and possibly help others do the same, ya dig?

I'd like to argue the difference between being collaborative within the IC and constructing a character though. It's one thing to ask, how would you like to see my story go, and another to ask how should I make my character.

If I have to give input to someone as to how to make their character, why the frick am I not just making that character for myself? Whereas in the spirit of working towards collaborative interaction, I understand asking for input towards stories and arcs.

I was asking for opinions, not help, there's a difference.

Yes but we're saying you shouldn't need opinions because you should know exactly what YOU want to see and do with your character.

Please just write the character you want to play, thatguy, and not the character everyone tells you to play.

To further go with that, as this is a sandbox RP, we the GMs need to see that you're going to be able to push your character through arcs without our guidance. As such, asking for help to define and create your character is not exactly the best way to bolster our confidence in your writing abilities.

Working hard on my Wonder Woman CS. In fact I have done so since yesterday.I hope to have it finished soon, as I research and study.

As I'm working on Cassandra Sandsmark I'd be interested in seeing the finished product. Looking forward to it.

Sorry, I know I just said I was going to stick around, but I've reconsidered somewhat, just lost the drive for it I guess when trying to write a post today, and don't want to wait until the IC is in full flow to then drop it. I wish you all luck!

Received and confirmed. Best luck in your future endeavours.
I'm considering this discussion over. Any further discussion on the matter can be taken up via PM with myself and Gowi.

@Unknown, if you have any questions you can ask them here or via PM as well and I'll do my best to answer them.
