Gorman bowed his head to acknowledge Tiberius' words. "I understand. Now, regarding this rogue killer, I don't mind helping you find and catch it. What are our leads?"

With renewed vigor in his voice, Tiberius proclaimed, "From my perspective, I've looked in the wrong half of the town. I think it best we get to other side as quickly as possible before anyone else dies. With any luck, my other party members will have already found the creature and have dealt with it accordingly. Come on then, let's go."

With that being said Tiberius took off in a sprint deeper into the town. He hoped he wouldn't be too late to stop the thing, and he prayed no else has been hurt. He had no direction in mind, but simply hoped to spot anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps Kaite or Gorman would find what they were looking for as well.
"...The warlock is my mission" Tiberius heard Kaite quietly say. It was a bitter statement, and Tiberius felt a pang of sadness wash over him. He looked at her, wondering what was going on in her mind but it looked like she would go with him, and for that Tiberius was thankful.

"Thank-you Kaite and don't worry, the warlock is everyone's mission. You are not alone." He paused to look at the town before him, wondering where the others might be before saying, "Let's go find us a killer."

They had barely started to walk before Gorman marched in his way. He knew that Kaite had offered him to accompany them, and if that was the case, they could probably use him to figure where the killer was. However, what Gorman said next completely caught Tiberius off guard.

"I apologize for assaulting you, Sir Tiberius. It was improper, insulting, and condescending. Forgive me."

Never before had he heard off an Orc apologizing to, well, anything. It was a very unique event, something that Tiberius was entirely unsure of.

"Gorman, I thank you for your words but it was entirely my fault. I deserved what you gave me as a reminder to keep a level head. There is no need to be forgiven, for you never did anything wrong but, thank you." Tiberius didn't want to come off as being rude but that was just how he felt given the previous situation. Gorman would have never needed to apologize if Tiberius had never accused him.

"Perhaps you would like to accompany us after all? I'm sure whatever we find will be difficult to kill, we could use your help." Tiberius said casually, trying to move the topic towards the killer that was still on the loose.
Gorman released a low growl in warning. "My business is none of your business. If I am a 'suspect,' then state your complaint and arrest me so we can sort out this misunderstanding."

"I already stated-" Tiberius began but was caught off.

Then he lightly slapped Tiberius across the face (or helmet if he had it on). "Put your head together, human! Do I act like a criminal to you? If stupidity were a crime, you'd be executed."

The orc had already pushed his buttons earlier by ignoring him, then Tiberius got slapped. It wasn't hard, he didn't feel anything because he was wearing his helmet but his pride took a blow right then and there. A very angry expression swept across his face in an instant. Sure he had been kicked, punched, stabbed and slashed at throughout his life, but never had he been slapped. It was the lowest of the low, besides getting kicked in certain parts and Tiberius was extremely offended but what could he expect from an orc.

He put his hand upon the hilt of his sword and stood up to the orc and raised his voice at him in angry tones.

"Listen here, Gorman. I already told you, people have been murdered within the town! Innocent blood has been spilled and I want to know why and who did it." He took a deep breath.

"By slapping me, you are not making a very convincing case for yourself, good sir." He sighed, bringing his voice back down to a normal level and spoke again,"But...You make a fair point."

Tiberius let go of his hilt and let his hands drop down to his sides. He was humble and his father had once told him, 'Never let anger cloud judgment, my son. Look beyond what you see.' If Gorman was here, and looking quiet clean of blood, then it wasn't him.

"Forgive me, Gorman. The incident has shaken me slightly, I meant no offence. You're obviously not responsible for what happened. And, your business is your own, whatever it might be." He then looked back at Kaite, before looking down at the ground, then at Gorman again, "I should go, there's still work to be done.."

Tiberius then began to meander off in the way he came, his head low, angry with himself for not being able to find the killer. He stopped in his tracks besides Kaite, and looked at her and softly asked, "I need you...your talents, do you think you could help me?"
@Thinslayer Those are fightin' words boy.
The audacity of this brute was appalling and it made Tiberius grit his teeth. What was even worse, was that Kaite was talking in such a manner that he found incredibly immature given the circumstances. For pete's sake, he didn't even know what Xen had been talking about when he said, youthful proclivity, but now he was getting a picture. It seemed on every turn he was learning something new about her but for the life of him, he had no idea what 'mi amore' meant when she had first addressed him. He would have to ask her later.

He walked up to her and spoke hurriedly, "Please Kaite, this is no time for funny talk. Innocents have been murdered in the town and a hunt is underway. This orc, Gorman, is a prime suspect unless proven otherwise." He empathized orc, for now that he had a better picture of the brute, he found him to be larger then excepted. This did not worry Tiberius however, he had once fought an ent with a pitchfork. Then again, the ent did manage to break his left arm before finally being put down.

He looked beyond Kaite and at Gorman, now speaking in a very commanding voice, "Tell me Gorman, what business do you have here? I find this situation very...Interesting to say the least."

@Hawlin@Thinslayer
His understanding of the situation was grim to say the least. He was fairly confident the attacker was an animal but you could never be too sure in this day and age. Tiberius jolted down alleyways and backstreets, but unbeknownst to him, he was probably the worst man hunter to ever set foot in the city. He was spun around with really no lead, nor did he take the time to actually look for clues. It really wasn't his fault, he was just bad at finding monsters, but somehow, they always found him. He was quickly loosing hope, with no lead to go on and nothing else to be seen, his journey led him to the outskirts of the town.

Then he saw them.

He didn't care much for orcs, had really only fought a couple in his time and had learned from experience that they were natural born fighters. They also had a savagery that he disapproved off. It was one thing to kill an opponent in fair combat quickly but another entirely to beat them to death senseless. Now he could see one in the distance, and Kaite, the black knight or whatever she was, was standing next to him in discussion. He balled his fists, why was there an orc here? And more importantly, what ties did Kaite have with him? Was he connected to the murders that had just transpired?

Kaite then began to walk in his direction, so Tiberius did the only rational thing he could think of and shouted, "ORC! I might have a word with you!" Then he walked towards the hulking creature.
It looks like the rest of you have this under control, I think Tiberius might just go accuse a certain Orc...
You know, this doesn't really surprise me.
After about an hour of sitting on his knees, Tiberius lay back on the soft grass to get comfortable. He was very tired and this was possibly the last day for a long time before he could sleep within safe borders. So without much restlessness, and even though he was still wearing his armor, he fell asleep without much trouble. It was quite an odd sight for anyone passing by, to see a figure clad in armor from head to toe, simply sprawled out under a tree sleeping. He was never disturbed and slept for much of the day without dreaming in the slightest. He never really dreamed in the first place and if he did, there was usually something that was stressing him out and he couldn't relax. In High Elven country however, he couldn't feel at more peace anywhere else.

Then a scream broke that peace.

He didn't fully comprehend it at first, but it managed to wake him up slightly. He blinked twice, trying to figure out and remember where he was, then another scream broke the twilight and everything came back to him. He quickly got up and grabbed his sword, somebody was in trouble and he had to help. All thoughts from earlier fled his mind as his senses took over and he began to run in the direction of the screams. His red cloak flapped about him as he took great strides into the town. It was his job- No, it was his sworn duty to protect people and by the sounds of the screaming, he hoped he wouldn't be too late.

Sadly, Tiberius arrived late to the scene and what he saw was a crowd of people huddled around an alleyway. He pushed through quietly, but due to his height, he could see well before he made it the bodies or what was left of them. It made his blood boil, he had failed these innocents, whose blood now lined the street. Behind his great helm, his expression was one of anger mixed with remorse. He noticed a white haired girl leaning against the wall, covered in blood and being tended to by a guardsmen. He felt like he should say something, but when he opened his mouth no words came. He glanced at her instead before spinning around and departing through the crowd. Whatever had done this couldn't have gotten far and he was willing to bet it was some type of beast.

With that in mind, he began to track the creature down. His grip tightened on his sword as he thought about what he could have done differently to help those people. Perhaps if hadn't been sleeping or had just been in town...He sighed angrily, knowing full well there was nothing he could have done to help them. But now, he wanted to slay the creature personally.

Or maybe I read it wrong? I'm tired, maybe i'll just wait until tomorrow. XD
