So working on this NPC student. Tell me which one you guys think would be best.

Gnome Magic Crafter. She won't participate in jobs or quests with you guys, but she'll be a ready access to magical equipment, assuming you can afford her price. She's kinda of a bitch so you'll have to pay out the nose to get early access to her goodies unless you do some favors for her.

Firbolg Item Caddie. He's willing to join you on certain jobs or quests, but he doesn't like to fight. But what he can do is help you out during social situations, tend to the wounded, or just carry shit for you cuz he's big and strong. Nice enough fellow but he's got weird values.

Three goblins stacked on top of each other. This is kind of a joke but one I'm willing to make work; three particularly puny goblins hidden underneath a tall wizard robe, all who want to learn magic for the sake of growing stronger. Individually they're shit wizards and can't even fight well, but together they can hold their own. More than willing to join quests and such and intends to fight alongside you all, however these goblins are ambitious. Don't be surprised if they betray you or steal loot.

D&D 5e - Hoard of the Dragon Queen

Orchid smiled at Brannor as they cut down the guards with ease. They didn't even get a chance to draw their swords! Swords which Orchid would take for himself; just in case he looses his other swords or needs to pawn them off later. He stuffs them into his backpack as he cleans the blades and heads further in with the others. Orchid stayed low to the ground and made sure to keep his nose and ears open to anything strange or unusual; Parum said there were going to be kobolds here, and those creatures were small and sneaky. Orchid also needed to be small and sneaky. And it wasn't long before he saw some wings in the darkness. Orchid was going to hide, but remembered that Torus was a human and might've not been able to see what Orchid saw. So he went over to Torus and tapped him on the shoulder. "Hide. Flying enemy coming." He says in hushed tones as he looked for a rock to hide behind, getting low to the ground to minimizing his profile as well as being in a position to spring out and attack the enemy when he sees them.

Still need to fill in personality info and such, don't forget to write down your background next to your class and stuff too. I know you're a Guild Artisan but this is just for ease of reference.

Don't know how you're doing +4 damage with a quarterstaff considering it's not a finesse weapon. With your strength a staff will +0 to hit and 1d6-2 for damage, 1d8-2 if two-handed. Yeah staffs aren't really great for wizards since it seems like everyone is dumping strength. Also do remember you can prepare one more spell; it's Wizard Level (1) plus your Intelligence bonus (2), so that's three spells you can have prepped. Though of course you can only cast two spells per short rest. Also just because kobolds tend to be pitiful enough, I'm willing to let you ignore the sunlight sensitivity racial trait. Unless you really want it.

Looks like it's still a WIP so I'll withhold judgement until you finish it. But from what I can tell, I'm assuming that you're using your V.Human feat for Resilient (Con). Also don't forget that you start with 6 spells in your spellbook, all of them level 1, and you only got five. Don't short change yourself.

Looks solid. Like I said to Lusus, you can prep 3 spells even though you only get two spells per rest. Be sure to write down your wizard abilities in the features and traits area too; you get Arcane recover which is basically get a spell slot back equal to your level (1) per quick rest.

So far so good. Everyone is pretty wizardly. I got a few NPC's up including your Professor, Teacher, Teacher's assistant, Dorm Security, and Dorm Chef. I might include a fellow student NPC who'll handle misc services, haven't made em yet.

Necromancy no problem. At least at the school, obviously other places have different thoughts about necromancy and magic all together. Besides defiling dead bodies is nothing. Enchantment is the real boogieman in this world.

No. Spells are of a normal duration and short rests is effectively a long rest for the purpose of abilities and such that relies on them. I revised the rest rules to reflect that.
