Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Ten foot gaps as in he needs to jump them or ten feet is just how far the kobolds are from him? Either way working on a post now.
@Hekazu

Cool, could Orchid reach the nearest Kobold in a single 30 feet move? If not I might have to throw a javelin instead.
@Duthguy

It’s possible. Though instances like this is where “knowing it’s possible” is not the same as “knowing how to do it”. After all does Nathan really understand how exactly he’s absorbing neutrients from the soil? And how would he do the same to other Pokémon?

Also your health is restore, in the sense that you don’t feel so beat up anymore. There is t really any numerical measurement in which I’m keeping your health up with. For the most part so long as your injuries aren’t debilitating wounds damage is healed over time. Getting tackled enough times will knock you out and leave you dizzy when you wake up, but taking a few knocks and staying on your feet will let you shake it off after some rest. Getting hit by a critical or elemental weakness will leave much more difficult scars to heal.
I guess it's just the expectation dragging down my mood when I gotta do serious Casual or advance stuff, you know? That pressure to always "Post at least three paragraphs" or some such. In free there is no such restrictions, but nor is there a restriction about posting too much, so I can feel free to post any amount I want. I think there's some sort of saying along the lines of "a plant grows tallest in an open field not a garden" or something like that.
I’ll let you know when you guys actually learn more than four moves.
@SleepingSilence

As I said before, knowledge is an important part of trying to learn a new technique. But knowing something is possible is way different from knowing how to do it. Technically Trevor could skip Ember and try to go straight into Fire Blast. Obviously at his level it would take him forever; by the time he learns Fire Black as a charmander one of y’all is probally going to evolve. Additionally a lot of these moves serve as the building blocks to more advanced moves: ember obviously leads to various Fire breath type attacks, but smokescreen could also lead to learning useful moves like haze or smog. And while you might think smog isn’t one of Chamander’s move, it’s possible thanks to the fact he can learn smokescreen.

Another barrier to learning moves are different elemental attacks. For example, how would Lance know how to do a Slash, Night Slash, and Dragon Claw when they’re all basically just him slashing someone? Different elemental abilities but simple slashing in the air calling your attacks won’t let you learn or train that specific move. Hence the need for tutors who can explain the specific (which I’ll make up if/when it’s needed).

As for training moves themselves, frankly all of them work best if you actually use them on someone. Sure you can just go through the motions and free form practice them, but it’s not as effective as using them on an actual Pokémon. If you’re the type who wants to grow strong faster you best bet is to go after other Pokémon and fighting them. With all the risks that implies. Or finding a good teacher. With all the risks that implies.
@Polybius

Ya know, I was wondering why you felt so familiar. Man Grey Crossing, that was five years ago wasn’t it? Dayum how time flies. I think I remember Malakaus back then just being a humble lil blacksmith.

As for keeping things in Free, I’d say we keep it free. I post big slabs of texts just cuz I feel like it; being free means I have more flexibility about what I wanna write, as oppose to casual or advanaced that makes it so that you need to post relevant information. Like 80% of my posts are just needless fluff and I like it like that.

Anyways as for a summary, Annabeth woke up and offered Maren some soup. Malakaus and his boyz are at their camp getting ready for another fight while he sent a messenger to talk to Marrn about stuff. Cassius, Demitri, and Skurr met up and helped around town before meeting with Monika. Monika was bunkering down in her shop when she found out her master is gone and she has questions about that. El also just showed up into town and plans to help out the townsfolk. She just dropped off some of the wounded at the chapel. Lastly Hark and his band arrived, took over a caravan, and are now infiltrating town to find out what happened to Maren.
Congratulations everyone, you survived the first day. In honor of this achievement you’re now level five. Before you jump the gun and start busting out sweet moves allow me to educate you about how we handle Pokémon learning attacks.

You learn new attacks largely by practice. Some things come more naturally to you than others; moves you learn via level up will generally be easier because your body feels “ready” to apply it. Though it’s also possible to learn moves that aren’t normally gained through level up with sufficient knowledge and training, the former which would be difficult considering how odd this world is for some. For example, learning TM moves essentially requires a teacher or some sort of instruction to guide you through the steps. Egg moves are possibly even more difficult to learn as you need to study with someone who knows the move and how to teach it to you.

So the short of it: learn new moves by training and eventually you’ll get it. Or via move tutor. Additionally the moves you learn may not always be in the order you’re suppose to get them via level; Trevor may learn Ember before he learns smokescreen for example. It’s all about what you put time into.
The party chose to stay the night and wait out the storm. As the weather was getting worse, preparation was made to try and divert the water away from the fire and trying their best to get comfortable. With very sparse admenitities the best some could do is make a dirt barrow to dig into for the night. Ravi, Jeri, and Nathan oddly enough would be most comfortable doing this if they attempted to do so. Nathan himself would feel an odd fulfilling sensation as he did so, almost as if he was draining neutrients from the ground. He was a plant after all.

As for the others their best bet was to simple huddle around the fire. While going strong it wasn’t very big, hopefully it would last to the night. The storm continued to rage on, with flashes of lightning and explosions of thunder occurs g infrequently throughout the night. By the time some semblance of a morning came, it was still raining. Some water had looked into the cave though fortunately nowhere near the fire. The rain also seemed to be somewhat lighter, or at the very least the mist is gone and the Pokémon could see further than yesterday. Now the soft orange glow that Vi and Lance saw the day before was more noticeable by everyone.

Of course not everything is okay. The fire was now reduced to a few embers and coals, possible to revive if the party could get more wood, but if they look outside they would notice that at the bottom of the hill where they must descend into the forest was now quite a vast pond. If they were human the water would be knee-high, and as infantile pokemon many would need to swim over the water to reach the forest.

However they may have noticed something odd about themselves at this moment. They got bigger; not very big, but big enough that the more insightfully May notice. A slight increase in height, larger feet, generally more capable bodies. It was a subtle change but easy for those who acted upon it.

Trevor would feel a fire in his belly, perhaps he needs to poop. Or perhaps there was something more. Celina would notice that as she slept her wings had a certain glossy oil on them, yet it didn’t seem to weigh her down. Quite the opposite; it seemed to keep her wings nice and fluffy. Lance was the closest to the pool of water and while it was away from the cave entrance, it was rather dark. And get barely after getting up his eyes would adapt to the conditions rather easily. Vi would simply wake up sore somehow. While as a Misdreavus she is capable of sleeping slightly hovered over the ground, her body just felt like it was in a foul mood. Perhaps she’s just hungry.

Ravi wouldn’t notice much of a change on himself aside that he grew slightly longer, and this was mainly in his tail. It was more than a small stub of a blade and now looked a bit more like a scalpel. Additionally his fangs grew out; they now butter just a little bit past his lips instead of being fully inside of his mouth. Jeri would also notice some slight changes to her body including a more flexible tail and body. Though she may look pudgy compared to Ravi, Jeri would find that she could easily curl up and around without too much trouble, even inside of her own burrow. Finally Nathan would just wake up and feel a bit stiff. He may have the hardest time waking up on account of how pleasant it seemed to be for him to take root to his spot and just doze off.

Beyond these personal changes nothing else differed greater. It was still raining, the fire was threatening to go out, and they had enough berries to feed everyone today and maybe tomorrow if they rationed carefully. Just like yesterday, they needed to figure out what they were going to do. As morning had just came they would hopefully have plenty of time to do their business before night falls.
@Polybius Need a summary? While I’m sure everyone would rather have the full context of their posts explained I could give you a good three paragraph assessment.
