Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Orders were doled out and done as quickly as could be done. Kulee was all too excited to finally make his fish soup again, as time consuming luxury that he would never really get to part take in during long oversea voyages. Nyx passed along the message to the slaves and after a while the response was that they needed to figure out where they were and how easily they could return home once they hit shore. A surprisingly large amount of the smaller folk were interested in becoming part of the crew while the dwarves didn’t mention their thoughts. As for the books, surprisingly only three were holy texts. On was a small personal journal containing the lessons and teachings the small hamlet priest had prepared while the other two were about the lore of the sea gods and their history. The rest were books about general lore, biographies, and even some educational manuals on swordplay and crafting. Though mostly beginner things. The swordplay manuals reminded you a lot of your earlier days training, but aside from being a refresher of younger days they would teach you nothing you didn’t already know.

Eventually the Kraken would reach Red Shard. It was busy, with sailors and porters going about their business moving freight and shipping off or docking themselves. It was a bit difficult to find dock space for both your sip and the orc slave ship, but you managed. Some of the local guards came to investigate the orc slave ship, curious about the lack of orcs. “Hmm, seems that the port authorities are questioning the slaves.” Tayang mentioned to you as the crew weighed anchor and did a recount of their inventory. “Ought we explain the situation to em captain? Could help put the new lads in good faith if you cover for them.”
The cart goes careering past you and Buddy, hitting a stone fence and flipping over. All of its contents spilled out as the wagon crashed and onlookers were both shocked and curious about what had just transpired. Oddly enough, it looked like what was inside was sand and books. Reaching the two of you was a lanky girl with dark hair, wearing the robes of the scholars. She was out of breath by the time she had reached you and it was likely that she would’ve never been able to catch up yo the cart before it had crashed anyways. “Aaaaah! All my research!!!” She seems quite sadden at the incident as Buddy walked over to you to see if you were okay.
Buddy followed you quietly as the two of you walked through the castle district. Aside from workers decorating and maintaining the streets, you saw a lot of women chatting or going about their business, as well as a many people in scholarly robes walking to and fro discussing about magic or just their day. Things seemed rather peaceful. About thirty minutes through the walk you would hear something rumbling towards you.

"Move out of the way, move move move!"

Up ahead was a runaway wagon. It was loaded with bags and boxes and coming your way. Buddy looked to you for just a moment before moving out of the way: even he didn't seem too confident in being able to stop such a large vehicle with just his body. Still he was looking towards you for what you may do. Syfr simply flew into the air to try and avoid any harm.
I'm willing to give this a try. Is there any particular region you want to play in, or anything in particular you want/don't want? Personally speaking, I'm more into the actual pokemon battle side of things, but I can also spin a decent story and incorporate the two parts together.
Paladros. The primary city to a new frontier. A bustling metropolis funded by multiple countries to serve as a neutral port for the various nations to send their best and brightest to discover and explore a continent that very few have ever been to before. A melting pot of various races and cultures from all over who somehow manage to work together enough not to implode. To an average citizen Paladros is a wonderful place that shows what could happen if the powers that be in the world were able to put aside their differences and pool their resources together to create a place where everyone could get along.

But for anyone with an ounce of wit, they would know that Paladros is just one incident away from calamity. This massive city is only barely contained thanks to the various gangs, organizations, and factions within constantly ensuring a balance of power, and anyone who tries to subvert that balance is often taken out or manipulated to their own ends. People are still very much divided by class, race, and other arbitrary qualifications. Indeed, Paladros is one-of-a-kind by virtue of it's controlled chaos enabling all sorts of violent and mad people to somehow exist and even thrive in an urban environment.

You are Kibble. You came from a clan far from the city of Paladros, ruled by an ancient Bronze Dragon. Your clan was small but prosperous, most notably the warrens you called home was an ancient ruin filled with lost technology which your master had cherished. Life was decent for a kobold there until one day your entire clan and your Dragon master was taken from you. When you awoken, there was naught but ashes and dust where your kin and master once were. Sifting through the ruins you barely managed to find enough materials to cobble together and made your own supplies, eventually setting off to make your own destiny. And so your travels bring you to this untamed frontier, to Paladros.

In this city Kobolds are, unsurprisingly, among the lower class. Their small size made them a poor choice for labor employment and what skills they did have needed to compete against the likes of inventive gnomes, jovial halflings, or the ever desperate goblins. Combined with a kobolds natural weakness against the sun, many kobolds end up forming small tribes within the underbelly of Paladros, and the only place on the surface which sees many kobolds is the Eastern, one of the poorest districts that cater to all sorts of sin and depravity. There are three major tribes in Paladros that most kobolds swear by, with many much more minor tribes that are little more than a social group of kobolds with little to no familial ties. The three tribes are the Coin Scale, Abyssinian, and Four Hands.

The Coin Scale is one of the largest Kobold tribes and the only one who run a profitable operation on the surface of the Eastern. This tribe owns and operates the Drunken Dragon Casino, a very popular place known for sponsoring high class brawls and battles against both skilled warriors, powerful mages, and various deadly monsters. It's also no secret that the Coin Scale operate in a lot of illegal businesses such as slavery and smuggling, and for this same reason most kobolds outside of the tribe consider the Coin Scale evil or at least making kobolds as a whole look much worse for those who wouldn't bother to look past their faults. But there's also no doubt that the Coin Scale have enough influence to stand independently against the other competing casinos and gangs who try and muscle in on their territory.

The Abyssinian tribe is said to be the only kobold tribe who actually has a dragon master leading them. A mysterious but undoubtedly powerful dragon who's said to be able to traverse through the darkness of both the material realm and the darkness within everyone's minds. Indeed, it's not unusual for many kobolds to join the tribe because of a dream they received from the Abyssinian Dragon themselves. And though the dragon demands servitude, loyalty is well rewarded. Many kobolds have been blessed with powers from the Abyssinian dragon, and use it in service of the tribe. Though many note how this tribe operates more akin to a cult, and indeed it's not unusual to see nonkobolds who actively worship and cooperate with the Abyssinian, making many outside tribes question if the Abyssinian truly has the kobolds best interest in mind or if the dragon is simply using them to it's own greedy ends.

The Four Hands is among the smallest of the three major tribes, but that is because are the only tribe who are actively cooperating with other nonkobold groups within Paladros. The FFou ive Hands consist of the Kobolds, Dragonborn, Lizardfolk, and Humans, all united by their draconic lineage as well as the ideal that they can work together to integrate into society without being bound by racial bonds. These tribes can be found dotted around the city of Paladros and they do their best to ensure that any kobold who is a part of their tribe finds meaningful work so none need to resort to any criminality, and they have a positive relationship with other surface factions. However among the kobolds many dislike the notion of effectively being under the yoke of "bigger" races, and many jobs given to kobolds are more often than not jobs passed up by the other three members of the Four Hand tribe.

@LaQue

And that's some lore. Feel free to use however you wish. Also if you could, post a link to your CS to the OoC. If there's anything else you're interested in knowing about this city so you have an idea where to start, just ask!

Donny continued to dig forward, building speed as he started hitting more dirt and less cement. At the rate he was going he was fairly certain they'd reach the other side of the testing grounds in a few minutes, and from there he can start looking around for the villain's base so he can destroy it. However he didn't expect to dig into a tunnel himself. "Whoa!" Going a bit too fast to stop himself Donny chewed through the wall and ended up in a subway. It was dark so he took out his cellphone, flashing it around so he could see. "Huh. A subway? Neat." As Donny looked around his eyes spotted something shiny in the darkness. It was a gold briefcase! The slime scooted over to it with curiosity. He doesn't remember if anyone was against his plan to take the briefcases for the hero team and securing them until the training was almost over.

"Sensei said acting heroic is key, so taking the briefcases is... Not really heroic but... This place isn't safe." Donny reached for the briefcase. He was still going to stick with his plan to wreck the villain's lair as well as his plan to safeguard the briefcases himself. He was certain that if push comes to shove, no one else could chase him down if he digs into the tunnels. Even if he had to make them big enough to carry the briefcases that's still too small for most of the students. The only one he was pretty certain could chase him was Yukari, and he doubts she'd want to try and go toe-to-toe with him in such an enclosed space. "Okay... Grab the briefcase and go. Simple and clean."

@Norschtalen@TheWendil
Yukari had posted twice since your last IC post, and Dulga is doing stuff in her own too. Not sure where Emiho is but Noel’s player had to drop for real life reasons.
I'm back and looking for new meat. First come first serve. I got ideas.
Buddy took out his book and wrote you a quick response. "Could read in park. Look nice." The park was pretty empty aside from a few women who appear to be sitting at a tree chatting, and a few children playing on the hill. Aside from a small garden of flowers and a few trees there wasn't much places for one to sit, but that likely wasn't going to be a problem for Buddy. Soon a group of men arrived to the park carrying sickles and shovels, with one larger man who seemed to be ordering them around as they began to cut the grass and a few went to the trees, trimming branches and hanging up banners. Buddy took out his notebook again to respond to you. "Or walk around." It was around this same time that Syfr flew in, landing on Buddy with a quiet hoot. He didn't seem to be perturbed or bothered, so no trouble yet.
Tyrael never thought he'd have something akin to an apprentice. In his entire life, either he was the apprentice, or he was working alone. There was something enjoyable to teach, watch someone improve, and more importantly getting more done within a day. With the blacksmith assisting in the shield and armor, Tyrael could focus on his axe. A hefty weapon of iron and steel, carefully shaped and carved. Around the time Tyrael had finished most of the work for his axe, the blacksmith had finished some armor pieces and the shield. Due to a lack of sufficient resources, the smith had chosen to create a more sturdy shield over armor, which suited Tyrael just fine. "That is acceptable. I would not want to wear too heavy of armor here anyways. I do not know a good design that can both protect me without burning me alive in the desert sun." Tyrael had vaguely heard of some armor designs used by knights of the desert, but they weren't things Tyrael was familiar with, certainly not enough to design himself. So he'll have to rely on this smith to provide sufficient armor for the orc.

Soon the two would finish making the equipment. Tyrael's axe was heavy, being made entirely out of metal with some leather wrapping. He gave it a few swings before giving it a strong twist, causing the shaft to extend turning the battle axes into a halberd. Another strong twist helped him shorten the length to a more manageable size. The armor mainly consisted of some arm guards, a helmet, pauldrons, and greaves. Not exactly the full set that Tyrael was hoping for, and barely any body armor either, but the shield was of very high quality. The shield boss was a good idea; when Tyrael first obtained this shield he didn't have the money to buy a metal shield, thus why it was so cheap and easily broken. However this one was much sturdier and lighter as well, making it far easier for Tyrael to manipulate. The shield was a little bit smaller than the wooden one he was using before, but that was fine considering that his new axe would require the flexibility of two hands, which his new shield now provides since he can reliably use it simply strapped to his arm. Lastly the helmet was a simple metal skull cap with a leather coif, decent enough to protect his head for a stray blow but nothing he'd rely on to take say, a sword to the temple. But Tyrael did take a moment to craft himself an iron mask. Not only would it be useful to protect his face, but also add an air of intimidation against his enemies as he gave it a furious visage.

After gearing up, Tyrael wouldn't look too different as his current attire would cover up the armor. Only his helmet would be a notable difference. He kept his shield off, his axe now hug on a latch on his belt, and his club strapped to his pack. Tyrael doubts he'll need to rely on it much now that he has a proper weapon, but he may one day make use of it's Ironwood to make something new. He bid the blacksmith farewell as Tyrael went to go look for Lynn to let her know he's finished with his business, with Zastrial giving Tyrael direction to Lynn's location. There was still much that they needed to do, such as gather supplies and see if anyone in this town was willing to accompany them and operate the sand skiff. And of course there was still the matter of those artifacts that Lynn was looking for. With the only leads being a tenuous connection to the brigands who attacked this village, Tyrael had no doubts that he would have much work to do.
