Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Even with the invisibility spell Whisper cast on her?

Unfortunately yes. It's able to hear her, so it knows she's here. being invisible simply means it'll have a harder time actually hitting her, but regardless it's aware of her presence now. Still it's not entirely useless since it only has a general knowledge that Yin is here, and if she can get far away enough from it it'll lose her trail. But right now Yin is too close, and also her stealth roll was unfortunately not enough to beat the monster's passive perception, taking into account it's keen senses.
Graham would've heard some rumors about these creatures. They're called Perytons, terrifying stag-headed bird monsters before. They hunted people near the mountains, as well as along the coast, often diving down from on high to gore people upon their horns, and then tearing them apart with it's claws. They have very keen senses and chances are it will find Yin despite her best efforts, and despite it's size it's extremely agile, fully capable of diving into a crowd of soldiers, picking them off one-by-one without giving them a chance to strike back at it. It takes full advantage of it's flying ability to stay out of range of melee attacks, and even if you're a skilled archer conventional weapons don't seem to affect it as much as one would hope.
Yin was confused why these people were here, though at the same time she didn't feel too... Threaten, at least not by them. It was a strange feeling, almost familiar? But there wasn't really any time to question it. Soon a loud, ear piercing screech ripped through the air. Yin looked around scared before glancing back to Tamzen. "I... I don't know how to fight. But I know how to hide." The church wasn't a very great place to hide as it was quite open, lacking doors and most of it's roof. Yin ran out of the ruined temple and the others would feel themselves get pulled alongside her. Yin moved somewhat quick, but it helped that she was very light and spry. She ran out of the temple and looked around for a place to hide. Lots of ruins that wouldn't provide much cover, but there was a well in the distance. Yin could potentially hide down there, assuming there wasn't anything lurking within.

But as the young woman was running towards the well, the others would see something in the sky. The shadow it cast looked like a woman... But the physical body was that of a monster. The creature was about 200 feet away, and flying towards Yin. She dove behind a wall and held her breath, hoping the beast hadn't spotted her. However from the way it was flying closer, it may be too late for Yin... But not for the spirits.

Though they couldn't stray far from her, they were unimpeded by the physical barriers around her. They were able to phase out of the wall and floor, and the weapons on their back had weight and heft to them. Even if Yin could not fight, perhaps these spirits could. Or at least do something to help Yin escape this flying beast, as her heartbeat and heavy breathing was revealing her position to any creature with keen senses.
The insect continued to give chase, albeit slowed down by the beating Cat was giving it. It wasn't until after she broke it's leg that it seemed to stop chasing her, however it was starting to emit a very loud, very high pitch screech. Cat would feel the rope tighten against her as Donny was pulling as fast as he could, and once she was back at the hole and started climbing she'd be able to get out fairly quickly thanks to both of their efforts. Once at the mouth of the hole itself Donny would grab her by the arm and pull her out, nearly throwing her against the wall. "I felt your pull and heard the shouting, what the hells is down there? Do we need to kill it?" Cat could see that Donny already had his gun out ready to start shooting, as well as a large piece of rubble to cover the hole. Nothing that couldn't be forced aside, but it may give them a moment of time to escape if they really needed it.

There was more screeching down into the tunnel. Donny couldn't see a thing but he grabbed his pistol and looked at the hole. "Maybe we ought to burn em out. I can drop an oil bomb down there, we get the hell out of this place, let the gas burn them all out. Worse comes to worse, this place is wrecked and we move on. Or we could just leave. Doubt anything that lives down there wants to come out into the cold."

Think you can get a post up around the weekend? I'll see about posting sunday to get the scene moving along.
Name: Malkus
Appearance:

Malkus is actually rather lanky. He lacks the bulk and mass of most orcs, but is still notably strong for a man his size. He has two notable accessories that he always wears: a tattered leather cloak and a tribal mask. The cloak was what was left of his old smith banner, which he now wears in remembrance of his old life. The mask is also from his village: it showed that Malkus is a half-orc, as he lacks the tusked teeth of like other orcs. This was actually a point of pride in his village, as it showed that he was part of two worlds. He generally wears whatever is appropriate for the weather, though he has a high tolerance for the cold and thus can deal with wearing less to deal with colder weather.

Race: Half-Orc
Age: 25
Homeland: Rhodok Republic
History: Malkus was born in a remote orc village in the Rhodok Republic called Oshu'Gun. Under the protection of Count Gharmall, the orcs of Oshu'Gun came to the Rhodok Republic to escape slavery from the Nords. Malkus was among the first generation of orcs born in this village, his parents being an orcish huntress and a Rhodok warrior. Though not formally married, the two loved one another like husband and wife, and Malkus' father even took the young orc to his home city to train and learn a trade. Malkus became an apprentice under a military smith, first starting with simply buckles and nails, but by the time he became a young man Malkus could forge a sword or even a set of armor. Entering adulthood, Malkus returned to his home village and opened up a smithy, where he mostly makes tools and equipment for the farmers and miners, but occasionally gets a hefty commission to forge a weapon or shield. For a short while, life was good. Simple, but stable. Food was abundant enough and the mountains would provide safety to the villagers. Or so Malkus thought.

One winter's night, war horns awoke the orcs of Oshu'Gun. Many of the men grabbed what weapons they had, spears, axes, and clubs, to see what was going on. What they saw was an army of Swadian knights ready to invade the village. Everyone tried to evacuate, taking whatever they could, but before they could leave the village the Swadians attacked. They came charging down the mountainside with lances ready to skewer any orc too slow to get out of the way. Malkus barely had his boots on when he saw what was happening, and did his best to escort some of the women and children to the forest to hide from the invaders. He didn't stay and fight like the rest of the orcs. He was... Too scared. By the time morning came, all that was left was ruins and corpses. The swadians had broken into everyone's homes and stole anything of value. Food, metal, cloths. What was left was whatever was on the dead orcs, or trampled underfoot. The survivors didn't have much of anything to reclaim. The best they could do was bury the dead. From Malkus's shop, all he found was the tattered remains of his banner and a few broken tools.

The refugees went to the town of Yalen. It was the closest town to Oshu'Gun. There Malkus was able to find some work thanks to his old contacts, but it wasn't going to be enough to survive. He was barely making enough to stay in the city, which was growing more and more overpopulated due the refugees from the countryside coming in. Malkus needed to do something different. Something to survive in these wartorn times. And so, with what little money he had, Malkus made himself some armor and a weapon, and would become a mercenary.
Skills:
Polearm and Shield - Trained by his father, a Rhodok spearman, Malkus is proficient with using polearms such as spears or halberds alongside shields. The Rhodoks are known for their impenetrable shield walls and pike formations.
Crossbow - Another weapon that Malkus learned from his father. Crossbows are more common among the Rhodoks over bows, and Malkus knows how to handle them efficiently.
Unarmed - While most know how to throw a punch, Malkus was trained by his father, as well as a lot of personal experience, in more refined hand-to-hand techniques. In particular Malkus knows how to grapple armed men down to the ground, as well as how to hit them to keep them on the ground permanently. If all else fails, even if he lacks tusks he can still tear out a man's throat with his teeth.

Metal Smithing - Malkus spent much of his youth learning how to smith metals, from iron to gold, and can craft various things out of different materials. He also knows how to work wood and leather a bit, such as making shafts for polearms or harnesses for armor.
Trading - Another part of Malkus's training was knowing what is the right price for his goods on the market, and reading the market to make the most out of his products. Had he more money to invest Malkus could've become a merchant.
Inventory Management - Malkus can be quite tidy when it comes to organizing his things. Not only that but his orcish physique enables him to carry heavy loads, which combined with his organizational skills can help him carry a deceptive amount of goods.

Equipment:
Smithing Tools - A set of tools Malkus can use to make or maintain his equipment. While he can maintain most gear with just these tools and a campfire, to make anything he would need a proper forge.
Banded Iron Armor - A breastplate with shoulder guards and an armored skirt made of humble iron. Not the most complex or strongest, but good enough for a sellsword.
Spiked Targe - A simple but deadly shield with a cluster of spikes at the center. It can be strapped to Malkus's arm to leave his hand relatively free to hold small objects, such as a torch or dagger.
Poleaxe - The most expensive thing Malkus has. This poleaxe is designed to be able to slash, smash, or stab all in one weapon. A hefty weapon that normally would require the use of two-hands, but Malkus is capable of using it with one, though using two-hands lets him use more power per swing.
Travelling Clothes - A robust outfit consisting of sturdy boots, pants, a tunic, and some gloves. Also comes with a belt that he can hang objects off of.
Rucksack - A heavy duty backpack that carries everything that Malkus needs. Food, supplies, excess equipment, and anything else he can fit in or on.

Other: Malkus's parents died when he was a young man. His mother succumbed to a disease she caught from some bad game meat, and his father died in a battle against sea raiders. Both of them are buried back at Oshu'Gun underneath a tall oak, where they first met. Malkus has some family in the Kingdom of Nords, orcs who weren't able to escape slavery, as well as some human family in the Rhodok capital of Jelkala, though from what Malkus was told by his father, he wasn't very close to them.

Malkus has a passing interest in music, knowing a few poems and such when he lived in the city as a youth. While he never developed the ability to become a bard he can at least play a beat and hold a note.

Despite not being much of a professional solider, Malkus has killed before. It was in Oshu'Gun when he first opened his smithy. His business was doing well enough that it got robbed by thieves one night. Thanks to his neighbors the thieves weren't able to get anything the first time, but since then Malkus was paranoid and began to stay up late at night to catch them. One day after feigning leaving the village, he caught the thieves and attacked them. He killed the leader with an axe to the skull, and cut down two more before the rest of the gang ran away. Later the village militia managed to capture them and executed them for their crimes. Since then Malkus has grown a more accustomed to killing, though even he knows his limits.

Caldaria is a world of opportunity. A nation divided by six powerful nations, all vying for power. Though they have tasted peace, there is always war to be waged, or to be ready for. And between these six nations are countless people, from the lowliest beggar to the noble warlords, seeking opportunities to advance their well being beyond their station. Be you peasant, merchant, or warrior, there is a life of strife that will challenge you physical and mental abilities. Those who are weak are eaten alive. But those who are cunning and strong, they will prosper and shape the destiny of this world.

A bit bare bones, but I expanded more about the six nations. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. Take your time with posts too, I tend to be a bit slow with 1x1, though if the whimsy strikes I could respond multiple times a day too. Just depends on the mood tbh.
After a breakfast a simple wash, Reyvadin followed the others off onto a job. He had little clue what exactly they were doing, but after being caught up to speed he thought about their odds. Getting booze was a rather simple task but naturally, nothing comes easily. Still it was work that Reyvadin was familiar with. He was trained to handle similar jobs back when he was training, albeit on a larger scale. Attacking isolated outposts and encampments for supplies were critical parts of leading an army, especially knowing that the enemy you face doesn't have many allies due to the nature of their organization. But by that same nature, it also means that failure to procure the supplies or fully defeat the enemy will result in wasted time and lost lives. Desperate men will do desperate things, so whatever the group does, they need to be thorough and merciless.

"I say steal it. We've neither the wealth nor influence to try and convince a smuggler we're going to be able to pay them for their goods, and going into debt with them over it is just going to cause more trouble than it's worth. Best that we find a den of thieves and plunder what they have instead. The law won't mind a few miscreates losing their lives and belongings. That being said, let's be careful not to get too cocky. I don't know this city very well and whoever we go after likely will, so if the battle doesn't look good they could very well lose us in the city. Or worse, find a time to ambush us later if we don't kill them down to the man. Let's find a gang and get an idea of their numbers and organization, and then we strike."
Moving deeper and deeper into the cave, Cat could immediately tell that this place was not man-made. What was left of the cemental walls soon turned into cold moldy earth. Slime and filth caked the walls, floors, and even dripped from the ceiling. It got progressive smaller, not so much that Cat couldn't move through, but she certainly wouldn't be able to jump without hitting her head. And soon she would hear something approach her. From around the corner, a large insectoid creature turned the corner and screeched at her. It seemed surprised to see her and lunged at her, it's strange mandibles outstretched to bite her. She could see a toxic purple venom dripping from it's mouth.
@The Irish Tree

Oh snap, I thought a timeskip happened. Uuuuuuh I'll make some edits within the next few days I guess?

Edits are made! I replaced basically the dungeon layout stuff with a tidbit about some new Cyber Skeletons that Tungsten has created. I also made their unit schematics in my CS if y'all wanna give that a glance over.
