Current To those I RP with, I haven't dropped off of the face of the earth, just had a mental health crash but am recovering. Now to catch up on posting.

The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Emeth: Then I'll be that friend who's the opposite kind of annoying, whispering "Do it, you know you want to..."

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio

A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

@Laach It's kind of hilarious, but yeah, I don't blame him.

@OtomostheCrazy And the squabbling begins. Wow Sophia, it's understandable you don't get along with Alexis, but that was petty. And if you insist on leading the way, then pay attention to where you're going.

Out and About

@Heckno12 @OtomostheCrazy @Iatos @AbysmalDemon

Sophia chuckled. "At least somebody has the sense to agree with me," she said, glancing back at Rheese, trying not to think about how little money she had. "And how bad can he be? I mean, I get why you're being so cautious, with the Grass type you have there, but I'll be fine. You see, I know a few things about Flying-type gym leaders."

She'd never actually seen Skyla battle, but she'd heard about her fighting style, and the techniques Flying types tended to use. Then again, from the way people reacted to his name, Vincent sounded nothing like Skyla. Maybe it would have been an idea to get a Rock or Electric type. Oh well, it was too late now, she couldn't back out in front of everyone. She could take on this challenge. It would be fine, it would be fine, it would be fine...

"Hey! Watch it, will you!" she shouted as the wannabe idol pushed past her. Marching forward, she caught up with her. She'd teach this girl to laugh at the way she'd looked earlier... She took a quick glance at Gothita, who was still distracted chasing after Staryu. Perfect. Gothita wouldn't notice, wouldn't intervene in any way. She looked back at the girl, who didn't seem to be paying attention either. One by one, the ribbons that adorned the girl's dress and the tops of her boots came undone, trailing sloppily in the wind. Sophia resisted the urge to laugh. The wannabe star would face the gym leader looking rather less than elegant.

She strode on ahead, pretending to ignore the girl. Where was that Pokemart? She took a look over her shoulder. She'd just gone and walked right past it. "Uh... This way!" she called to the others as if she'd known all along, turning round and heading in the right direction.
Emma

@Aurliena Nova

The vines were overgrowing even faster now, starting to wrap around Emma's arms and legs. She twisted and turned, only succeeding in toppling over, the tendrils chafing her skin like ropes. Beside her, Maia thrashed around, speaking more of those power words. Some of the vines loosened. Emma pulled herself free, fighting her way through the growth, as Maia chewed and clawed at the tendrils.

Snap! To the side of the two of them, a vine fell. Glancing over, Emma gave a sigh of relief that came out as a breathless laugh. It was the dragon from earlier, Eun-mi's dragon. "Darthun!" she called. She stared in shock as the dragon whined and slumped to the ground. "You're not hurt, are you?" She wriggled through the thicket as Maia continued to snap the vines with her teeth and claws, uttering power words in between bites.

The growth was receding now, vines shrinking to their usual length. Still trembling with shock, Emma leaned down and tentatively placed her hand on Darthun's head. "Oh, Darthun, I'm sorry... I-I didn't know what I was doing there..." she blurted. "Thanks, both of you." She looked from Darthun to Maia. "Thanks for helping out."

Maia crouched, wings drooping, looking up at Emma with wide, guilty eyes. Emma hurt? she asked, her attention shifting to the red marks on the girl's arms.

"Don't worry," Emma reassured the dragon. "It's not too bad. And this wasn't your fault." The marks stung, but the injuries could have been worse. "Are you ok?" Maia gave a nod of her head. "Stay here with Darthun," she told Maia. "I'll go and find Eun-mi." She took a few shuddering steps out of the tall grass and rushed back into the building.

No sign of her anywhere... Maybe she hadn't left her dorm, but if that were the case, why would Darthun have been out and about? After a frantic search through the halls, Emma decided she might as well try anyway. Once she found the door with Eun-mi's name on it, she knocked several times. "Eun-mi? Are you in there?"
@OtomostheCrazy Heckno12 told me there would be double battles... Yeah, I can imagine Alexis and Sophia having to team up.
@Kalek Nord Is Elix going to be in our group, with Alex and Alexis? Then again, @Laach Orez might want some help... Energetic and hardworking people would contrast pretty well with that group.
@FallenTrinity Posted. Well, that's a side to Lainie we haven't seen before...
~~~Lainie~~~
@FallenTrinity
Ok, that was impressive. Not just the demonstration itself, but the way it seemed to come effortlessly to him, to the point that he kept his casual demeanour the whole time. Maybe, eventually, she'd be strong and skilled like him... There it was again, that flicker of a thrill, threatening to spread and take over all reason. She tensed against the thought, pushing it to the back of her mind.
"Ummm, ok..." She kept glancing from him to the scorch mark on the ground, rooted in place by conflicting thoughts and feelings. She took a deep breath, finally forcing herself to move. Holding her hand out, she drew on her reserve of magic, a slight tingle running through her body as she did so. A small, controlled flame hovered above her hand.
Something seemed to whisper to her. She could do better than that. She was stronger than that. The tingling sensation intensified. She resisted, trying to limit the flow of magic. Something was getting in the way, though, provoking her. It was the way Sulleykaar looked at her, with one eyebrow raised. He'd been acting like that the whole time... How had she let herself put up with it? What did he think she was, some fragile little flower?
The tingle intensified into a surge of energy, the elemental magic's influence consuming her like an unchecked blaze. The flame swelled with a whoosh, crackling as tongues of fire lashed at the air. She raised her head and looked up at Sulleykaar, a rarely-seen grin on her face. "You going to keep looking at me like that now?" she shouted, an edge to her voice. More flames sprang up, growing all around the girl who, just a moment ago, had tried to hold back her power.
@Heckno12 Yeah, Rheese and Sophia are probably going to do a fair amount of snarking at each other, and as for Alexis... Oh dear, this team. Think they'll be a bickering team that manages to work surprisingly well together when shit goes down?
@Heckno12 I'm going to go into the reason for that at a later point. Though even if she does have her nicer side, I'm sure she's still going to end up annoying Rheese. She acts mildly condescending towards even him sometimes (for example, the way she looked at him when he got water gunned by Wooper).
@Heckno12 Well, Sophia can be pretty snarky towards certain people, but Alexis does that more. And Rheese has seen how Sophia acts completely different around Pokemon, does that have something to do with why he puts up with her?
