The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio

A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

"Dinner break's a good idea," Ella said, looking around through the evening darkness for a rock or tree stump to sit on, as she and Leisy advanced into the marshland. She laughed. "How did we let it get this late? Did I really spend most of today sleeping?" She'd needed it, after the past few nights.

Something moved in the shadows. "Did you see that?" Ella asked, eyes wide. She stared into the swampland, but the only movement was that of swaying branches and tall grass. "Ehh, maybe I was just imagining things..."

With an unearthly wail, something flew at her in a blur of black cloth, a glaring red orb lighting up its skull-like face.

Ella backed away in surprise, letting out a squeal - not of fear, but of unbridled adoration, as if a baby Skitty had just run out at her.

"It's so cute!!" she shouted, beaming from ear to ear. "Look at it! Look at that face! Such a pretty little eye!!"

It was the Duskull's turn to draw back in shock, before sulking at its complete and utter failure to scare her. A few seconds later, it turned its scarlet glare back on Ella, bobbing in the air.

"Huh? Do you want to battle?" The Duskull nodded, its light brightening. "Ok!" She let out Treasure, who sized up her opponent. "You alright with this, Treasure?" With an affirmative "Trub", the Trubbish slowly approached the other Pokemon, who bobbed about even more with excitement.

"Alright! Treasure, use Sludge!" Ella called. "Ah! Careful! Behind you!" Before Treasure could do anything, a shadow lengthened and struck her from behind. Standing her ground, Treasure spewed a blast of sludge at the Duskull, sending it flying.

As it floated forward, Ella took a Pokeball from her pocket. "Hey! Want to join my team?" Flicking its red gaze from the trainer to the Pokeball, then back, it considered her question before nodding again. A jolt of excitement ran through Ella. This Duskull saw her as a strong trainer, but could she live up to that first impression?

"Just don't prank my other Pokemon, ok?" She threw the Pokeball, watching it open, pull the Pokemon inside, and rock about on the ground. Ding. The screen of her Pokedex lit up.

"Yayyy!!!!" Skipping over to the Pokeball, she picked it up, a wide smile across her face. "Welcome to my team, Brighteye!"

Once again, Cici was perfectly at home, with beings that wouldn't leave her. Meandering through the wilderness, she sang the song that had come to her the previous night, drawing those familiar lights closer to her. Morelulls and Shiinotics. Her friends. Something was wrong, though. There were fewer of them than there had been yesterday.

"Those trainers..." she said, her voice soft. "They were hurting you, weren't they?" She swept her moonlit gaze around the group of remaining fairies. "I won't let anyone hurt you again."

It sounded like something somebody else had said... No, like something she'd said, earlier, to one of her Pokemon. A part of her mind stirred awake.

"No! You're not harming my friends!"

A shape emerged from the shrubbery, approaching with light footsteps. The stars and moon lit up pink-and-white fur, innocent blue eyes, flowing ribbons.

As one of the ribbons wrapped around her arm, Cici relaxed, letting the Sylveon take her further into Feyhollow wilds.

"I know you won't harm me..." she mumbled. "It's other humans who will."

@Dusksong @Zarkun Sorry about the absence, holiday stuff going on. I'll try to get a post up.

And yeah, I added up the TP wrong, I didn't know people still got their standard point for posting. Will give Ella and Cici one more TP each.

Edit: I hope getting that Duskull was ok, I put that Ella and Leisy are heading into the marshlands, so they're close enough to get Ghost types, right?
Late Merry Christmas everyone! (Didn't get a chance to post over the past few days.)
@Heckno12 It's alright, people aren't going to be all that active around Christmas.
@Iatos Ok, though if you want to come back at a later point, you're welcome.
I was just wondering...

@Iatos Is it alright if I call Espeon? A few people have the same Eeveelutions, they're pretty popular after all.

Also, just a reminder that it's Day 3.
@Lugubrious Ok, post edited.
@Lugubrious Yeah, the timeline got a bit screwed up there. I could edit the post if you want.

It turned out Olivie had noticed a Sylveon, but no other humans, and Cici wasn't going to keep bothering her with questions, not when it seemed she was getting ready to leave. After the two girls had gone their separate ways and Cici had cleaned herself up, she and Tommy asked around, finding out any information they could.

"So there have been several incidents... I knew I couldn't have been the only one in there," Cici commented to Tommy.

She didn't hear whether or not he replied. A strange feeling washed over her, and everything blurred. "Ah! What... What's happening...?"

She stumbled, sagged, and straightened up. Cadence chirped in shock as her trainer's eyes took on that white glow once again.

"It's ok," Cici mumbled as if half-asleep, calmly returning Cadence to her Pokeball and heading towards the trees silhouetted against the red sky. "They just want me to go back. I want to go back... I need to."

As she made her way towards the forest, a green glow outlined her body for a second, as if she'd been hit with a Grass-type draining move. Orbs of light drifted away from her body, towards the woods. Cici swayed as she disappeared into the forest, but didn't react in any other way.

Wait, I completely forgot! Is it sunset?

Edit: Did my sunset post for Cici, will edit Ella's stats.
